  1. I think he’s probably lucky the linesman is quick on it, who knows what happens all round if he doesn’t in terms of how aggressive it can look if he’s doesn’t. No idea what has been said, but you don’t want to be seen walking up towards her swearing in what can be perceived as an intimidating manner.

Nothing to do with Tuesday anyway. Just pump them Ayr.

  2. McKenzie and Willoughby seemingly going into midfield on Saturday worries me if McGugh or Syla aren’t back. Smith the natural midfielder and Tomlinson who has played there previously never got a sniff to come and play there. Don’t want to rush either injured players back and aggravate any niggles. Would be happy enough with the 11 above, but don’t see both Bryden and McKenzie dropping out.

It’s a bit of a shite prospect but we can’t exactly ask Morton to fight on our behalf to get us onto the terrace when Morton put Ayr fans in the corner of our stand.

Hopefully we sell enough to be out on the terrace, but announcing that we’ll likely be stuck in the stand with the prospect of getting behind the goal if enough of us go is hardly a great sales strategy for Ayr.

Similar to Arbroath telling us to sit in a tiny section of their stand or stand in the pissing rain at Christmas time, Scottish football clubs don’t really help themselves at times.

To be fair, it’s something I’ve always wanted from a purely selfish point of view as a home fan. If clubs aren’t going to bring more than what is in the stand and the below terracing then I’ve always advocated for them to be in there. Last few years we’ve been able to switch ends and be behind both goals etc and next season the access will be there with the new stand having a gate to allow the passage through. We had the issue with Arbroath as well being stuck at the side with a push view. Was at the last meeting where Mathie was going on about making Ayr the best away day in Scotland etc. Clubs shouldn’t be rolling out the red carpets for away fans, never understand it. Unless you’re Livi of course!

  4. Seen the furore on twitter regarding Morton fans being flung in the main stand on Tuesday. Seating area plus the standing section below is roughly about 400/500 capacity so would imagine that will accommodate the travelling support, with the game being a Tuesday. Would imagine once they sell the set number of seats they’ll say access will be available to the terracing below.

Trying to stay positive. If we win tonight and again on Saturday we cut the gap to 3 points. Airdrie shouldn’t find it as easy to score from crossed balls as Boruc shouldn’t start.

I was just about to say, could be a big 5 days in the context of the season for you by cutting the gap to 3 points.  Big ask, but not impossible.

Well this thread has turned into the predictable shit-fest we all expected. Seems lil old Airdrie still get under folks skin by just existing.

Hoping the team go out and do themselves justice as they've saved their poorest performances for Ayr, so hoping for an overdue performance which should hopefully lead to a win. Another tough game, there are no gummies in this league and Ayr will be confident given the previous games. 2-1the diamonds.

  7. Clarke

    McAllister  Stanger  McGinty

    Tomlinson                                    Murphy

    Syla  McHugh  Smith

    Amartey  Dowds

Subs: Albinson, Sanders, , McGinley?, Chalmers?, McGeady, Bryden, McKenzie, Willoughby?, Guthrie

With what is available, I think that may be our best bet.  Can't have McGinty at left back and at least Tomlinson, Murphy and Amartey in the team will add a bit of forward thinking and pace to the team.  Need to try and bring some composure into midfield and with Smith not even in the reserve team yesterday, I wonder if he is in line for a start.  Sanders has to be dropped going by Browns decisions to drop Albinson, McGinty and Syla in the past few weeks.
