  1. Don't want to judge too early and I'm hoping it leads to something good, but my initial reaction is effectively sadness that they have for one, Cena teaming with two members of the Shield and two, the Wyatts backing an 'authority' man. Hope there's more to it eventually.
  2. I was thinking that too. They seemed pretty high on Big E for a while but interest seems to have dimmed again. All he's been doing the past couple of weeks has been watching the matches on a tiny monitor whilst standing up. Does he not know that it's taking place in real life just down a wee ramp from him?
  3. Just had a quick look at a Smackdown preview for Friday. Yet another Fandango/Santino match with Layla & Emma involved. Also another Hornswaggle vs El Torito match. Are they just trying to annoy us?
  4. I think they're setting up a feud between Cesaro and RVD. Maybe not as soon as Extreme Rules. Cesaro might cause him the final against Barrett.
  5. How many combinations of Fandango vs Santino Marella matches are we going to see?
  6. I suspect we'll see Lesnar beat-down the Undertaker on the last Raw before Wrestlemania. The old get the upper hand on TV then lose on the PPV routine.
  7. I agree the booking has been terrible. She's become stale over the past month or two and none of it is her fault at all. She's either not on the show or losing a non-title match. A feud with Natalya is something I'd be all for as they're most likely to put on the best matches. Apparently the match on Main Event was good so hopefully they'll persevere with it.
  8. Really hope not. AJ is by far the best thing about the divas. She should at least lose it at Wrestlemania.
  9. I wouldn't mind seeing Cesaro vs Sheamus at Wrestlemania after battling each other in the Chamber. The two of them could go at it for 10-15 minutes solid and with Cesaro going over, could elevate him that much closer to the top.
  10. Apparently Regal has said on Twitter that, as far as he is aware, the UK will get the NXT PPV. It won't be live but just in the way that we get the regular TV show.
  11. Silver Linings Playbook 8/10 I know it's been out for a while but just got around to watching it over the weekend. Really enjoyed it. The first 40minutes to an hour was very funny and although the laughs tail off a bit it's still a good movie. Good performances from Cooper, Lawrence & De Niro.
  12. Really can't go CJ Parker either. Mojo Rawley looks okay I suppose but not overly keen on him either. That PPV looks good though. Dallas is a good wrestler but his mannerisms, voice and face really annoy me.
  13. I think the PG content makes it more difficult for the writers and performers and they have to be a bit more creative. For example, a lot of people are talking about Triple H's ability here. Whilst I always liked him, I think a lot of his best work was done because they didn't have the PG restrictions - such as the Street Fight with Cactus Jack at the Royal Rumble followed by the Hell in a Cell Match at No Way Out. A lot of Triple H's matches were bloodbaths and were enthralling in that way. Even the most recent match with the Undertaker pushed the boundaries a lot more than other performers would be allowed to. Now that they've moved in a different direction, they have the perfect characters to do so. Cena is obviously the clean face of the company and with the technical abilities of Punk, Ziggler, Bryan etc you don't need to have spotfests and bloodbaths to make a good match. Obviously you have edgier characters like Lesnar & Orton (from time to time) to push the boundaries a bit when looking for the shock factor. I think that, yes, the PG restrictions make things a bit more difficult but I don't think it can be used as an excuse as the talent is there to make it work.
  14. I think Punk's frustrations probably stem from even when he was champion. As WWE Champion, he still didn't get to headline Wrestlemania, instead fitting in behind Cena vs the Rock. Off the top of my head, I can think of a few other events where his title match went in behind others (Cena vs Ziggler, Cena vs Big Show, Cena vs Brock Lesnar and even Cena vs John Laurinitas!) Then, he's had to do the job for the Rock's brief return and done a job for the Rock (again at Elimination Chamber), the Undertaker & Brock Lesnar after losing the title. Whilst he was the champion for a remarkable amount of time, it only really felt as if he was the main point of interest when he was up against Cena. Also, Triple H's big solution to the fans gripes with the Royal Rumble and potential main event at Wrestlemania is to put Daniel Bryan up against himself instead? Don't get me wrong, Triple H was a draw in his day and proved himself to be a more than trusted competitor (without getting into specifics of who was or wasn't better than him) but I think he needs to realise that it's not the case anymore. The matches with Lesnar weren't great but they still insisted on getting him over Lesnar at Wrestlemania (obviously, the show that more people watch). If he does a clean job to Daniel Bryan in a good match it'll maybe help him on the road to becoming a top star, but it's a road he's been treading for some time now and it doesn't seem to be getting any easier.
  15. I thought having Punk vs Bryan to headline Wrestlemania 30 would've been a great idea. Yes, bring some legends back for the showpiece event but really show everyone who your stars are now by putting them at the top of the bill in a match that'd have the potential to become legendary if they got the appropriate amount of time. You can almost guarantee that will not be the case with Batista vs Orton and it may well be a good Wrestlemania outwith but I think a lot will think of it as what might've been. Although, things could still change I suppose.
  16. More Chamber participants and extra match revealed:
  17. I was thinking that too. At the moment I'm thinking it's either Bryan or Batista for the Rumble win. I know which way I want it to go but I know which way the WWE are likely to go. Punk would normally be up there but he looks to be tied up with Triple H at Wrestlemania. Ideal scenario for me is for Bryan to win the Rumble and Punk to win the title at Elimination Chamber but I'm certain that won't happen.
  18. How many PPVs do we get free now? About 3 or 4 maybe? So if you paid for them all, then say £15x7 plus £20 for Wrestlemania so you're talking around £125 a year just for the PPVs. If the price of $9.99 translates directly to us then you're talking about £6 a month, so less than £80 a year. Then you have all the extra content then it'll definitely be worth it for us. Would seem a bit weird paying a monthly bill for it. There's a lot of assumption in there, of course.
  19. American Hustle - 7/10 Agree with the majority here. Whilst I did enjoy it, I didn't rate it as highly as many reviews. No complaints though. Jennifer Lawrence was excellent. Argo 8/10 Watched for the first time recently. Very tense stuff with some good characters. Would recommend it. Ben Affleck's beard and haircut reminded me of Andrea Pirlo throughout.
  20. Good episode. Cena vs Rollins was thoroughly enjoyable.
  21. I think that's a bit harsh on Lesnar. Granted, the stuff with Triple H wasn't great and they didn't have to stretch it over three matches but you have to think of what he was up against. Triple H hasn't been great for a while now and almost everything he's been involved in recently has become quite dull eventually. However, I thought the match with Cena and the whole build-up was outstanding and the match with CM Punk at Summerslam is my match of the year. I don't think he should've lost the matches to Cena or Triple H but that's just the way things go.
  22. You've probably been told this many times but you will get used to them. I used to start getting ready a lot earlier just to ensure I had time to mess about with them but I'm about a year on now and it generally takes two seconds to put them in. Probably over-reliant on them now though. My constant annoyance of a typical working day is a menopausal woman in my office who has had numerous health appointments over the last few months because of a 'swollen' stomach. One day with her and you'll clear see why it is swollen. For her 'breakfast' today she had four chicken kebabs (one in pitta bread, the other on normal white bread) then followed it up with a couple of bits of crusty bread and cheese. That's about an hour before her lunch also. Everyone panders to her and says things like 'oh it does look swollen today'. Absolute nonsense. ETA: She's also stupid. We've been moved over to Windows 7 and she is continually asking 'where is this saved now?' Same f*cking place! Work night out tonight and I'm very glad she is not attending.
  23. Very good Raw with a couple of really good matches. Bit of a screwy finish for the Bryan-Orton match but it keeps Bryan incredibly strong as it looks as though Orton can't get the better of him. Is it looking like Bryan Orton & Cena for the title at Royal Rumble? Ideally I'd love Bryan or Punk to win the title at the Rumble or Elimination Chamber and the other winning the Rumble, but I can't see that happening. Nikki Bella's face must be sore today...that was some kick she took from Tamina. Does anyone think we'll see HBK in action at Wrestlemania? I thought he'd be true to his word but it seems as though they're setting him up for something.
