  1. Another reason I'm hoping the unification happens, makes the Rumble all the more special. Cena vs Undertaker, anyone?
  2. I agree, don't think it's going to happen at TLC. Will Bryan join the Wyatts? The promo from Wyatt seemed very 'anti-Authority' so maybe they're set to turn face and Bryan will lead a charge against them. Talking about how they don't see him like they do and 'fighting the machine' and stuff like that. Although we've seen Ziggler & Sandow fight a lot over the past few weeks, I'm glad they had an actual number one contender's match for a title. I wish they'd do a bit more of that instead of just dropping people into the title picture all the time.
  3. The Divas division is just a mess. Although I suppose it's the most realistic rivalry in the company as none of them get along with each other! Wasn't it a Miz v Kofi feud that resulted in the Miz turning face last year? I can't see the no interference thing in the WWE Title match happening. I would've loved the 12 man match from Raw to be a Survivor Series match. An elimination type match would've let them shine as individuals as well as a team. I wish they would put a bit of decent focus on a proper midcard feud. Although they've had a bit of previous, the Axel-Big E match just seemed thrown together, similarly with Ziggler & Sandow (neither of whom have matches on Sunday at the moment, which is a shame).
  4. Going to Hartlepool v Portsmouth on 30th November through a Portsmouth-supporting pal and his family/friends. Anyone ever been to the area for a game?
  5. I did like the 'Mark Henry is my Dad' sign.
  6. Let's hope we can get a live one in the Hydro soon!
  7. Decent episode of Raw but I think it shows what a good crowd does as it elevates it further. The final segment was great. When the Shield-Wyatts were just about to go at it I was genuinely excited. The crowd were great for that section. Very convincing win for Damien Sandow, Kofi Kingston barely got any offence. Hopefully the start of a decent push for him. Defeat for Ryback to R-Truth, is the burial well under way? I'm hoping Heyman's words about 'hovering' over Punk will bring the return of Brock Lesnar in the near future. I know he's likely to feature at Wrestlemania but I can always hope it's done sooner. It might be a reference to him being the 'devil' that the Wyatt Family are working for though.
  8. I'm feeling a bit like that as well. Could it not be that Randy Orton wasn't drawing as they'd like? Or that they couldn't actually put the title on Bryan properly to see how he'd do? His reigns lasted about a day and 3 minutes in total. Wondering what the excuse will be when the two main matches are Orton vs. Big Show and probably Cena vs. Del Rio at Survivor Series. Not enthusing at all and the best things in the company remain Daniel Bryan & CM Punk. I was enjoying the whole Authority storyline at first but it's seeming to drag a bit now and I don't think the Big Show's involvement will improve it any. Maybe if/when Vince comes back into the fold it'll freshen things up a bit but I can see it becoming stale very quickly, which is worrying as it's likely to continue until Wrestlemania.
  9. I'm thinking Orton vs Big Show and Cena vs Del Rio for the title matches at Survivor Series. I'm intrigued by the whole Wyatt thing now, with them going after Bryan & Punk on Raw. Noticed that Wyatt said 'the devil made me do it' after the attacks, just one night after Paul Heyman labelled himself 'Satan'. Goldust must be feeling pretty good about himself of late. Every match he's been involved in since his return has been of a great quality. Of course that's also down to the guys he's been in there with like the Shield, the Usos & Cody Rhodes.
  10. I remember earlier in the year the vote was between a just returned Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and someone else to see who would face CM Punk later on Raw. They were sure that Orton would win the vote and it had to be re-worked when they realised that Jericho was going to win it. I'm not sure why they were so confident that Orton would win the vote over a just-returned legend.
  11. Curtis Axel has celebrated his 100th day as Intercontinenal Champion. How many times has he actually defended it?
  12. I could not stand the presenter, which made it almost unwatchable for me. It's slightly worth it for the female presenter they've always got though. I tend to try and find out who they'll have on it before I watch. Interviews I've seen in the past with Chris Jericho, Hulk Hogan and even DH Smith have been decent.
  13. Reading that Hogan's TNA contract is set to expire on 1st October and there's a big chance of him not renewing. He's apparently unhappy that Brooke was let go and the way they handled it. He also was asked what would help the company and he said Eric Bischoff being in charge and an unlimited budget. With Jimmy Hart commenting the other day that he thinks Hogan will have '2-3 more matches' left in him, do we think he'll be returning to the WWE? I think it'll certainly happen at some point but I'm not sure if it'll be in a wrestling capacity. I'd imagine they'd like him on board for Wrestlemania 30 though.
  14. Battleground matches announced on Main Event/Smackdown. No surprises but I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.
  15. I was never a great fan of the Warrior but I agree that if the music was to hit and he was to sprint down the aisle I'd be genuinely excited. He is just a big mad ball of energy. Agree with the above post about Goldberg still being relevant after 10 years of inactivity, it's amazing how big Warrior really is considering a lack of pure wrestling ability (although he still put on some great shows) and a fairly short but eventful spell in the limelight. I keep thinking Michaels would be involved at some point and worried that he'd be part of the conspiracy against him due to his obvious links with Triple H. I'd like him to come back to be in Bryan's corner at some point. Not sure if it'd advance the story greatly, I just love HBK. Do we think that Edge will give a pep talk to Bryan similar to the one he gave to Cena when Lesnar returned last year?
  16. I was thinking the same about rumours that the Ultimate Warrior would be back for a one-off appearance. Don't think either of them would come back unless they were told they were going to win it.
  17. Apparently Kane's off to film See No Evil 2 soon so last night was maybe just a way of writing him out.
  18. I did. I don't watch a lot of the PPVs live because of work so I tend to miss the pre-show. I will be sure to catch it this time though, whether I watch it live or not.
  19. I'm sure Jerry Lawler was saying it during the Del Rio-Kofi Kingston match on Raw too. Really looking forward to Sunday though and I do agree with the statements about the pre-show as I'll definitely be watching whereas otherwise I generally wouldn't have bothered.
  20. It's good that he's came out and hopefully it does him no harm but I can't help but think he'll be wished all the best in his future endeavours some time soon. Edit: Or gets a ridiculously over the top re-hash of a Fandango type gimmick.
  21. I understand the reasoning behind it I'm just disappointed that we won't get to see RVD & Ambrose on the actual PPV but we'll need to watch the Bellas wrestle. It's all a big promotion for Total Divas though. I wish Dolph Ziggler was in a more relevant match too, hopefully he moves on from this to better things. I was sure Orton was cashing in but they're drawing a lot of attention to it now. I think the swerve might be Bryan winning the title but Triple H hitting the Pedigree for Orton to cash in and a heel turn/corporate champion all in one go. Especially with Bryan saying he strives to hold that title 'just once'. Edit to add: Is it just me or are they saying 'Ruthless Aggression' a lot recently?
  22. Are we actually going to have Dean Ambrose vs RVD on the 'Kickoff' show but Natalya vs one of the Bellas on the actual show? Other than that, I'm very happy with the way Summerslam is shaping up. With the way Raw panned out, there is a level of uncertainty over the outcomes of the main event matches which is good. Del Rio-Christian and Rhodes-Sandow could also go either way. It's a shame the Intercontinental Title won't feature. Not sure if the Shield vs Show-Henry will be announced on Smackdown for the Tag Titles. A few wrestlers who seemed to be getting a decent push over the last few months look like totally being left of the show now like Swagger, Cesaro, Ryback, Fandango.
  23. I think someone's definitely going to be a 'corporate' champion. It could be Cena or Bryan but I think it's much more likely to be Orton after cashing in at Summerslam or soon after. His absence from Raw over the past couple of weeks makes me think that it's all the more likely.
  24. I was thinking that too. I'm thinking with the whole McMahon storyline ongoing, Vince will maybe make Bryan jump through hoops to earn his spot at Summerslam against the will of Triple H and maybe even John Cena.
  25. This weeks Smackdown is, unfortunately, Chris Jericho's last show in his current run. Hopefully not too long before he's back.
