All those posts describing Barry Ferguson could all have come from Clyde fans when he was in charge here. I personally think it was a bad move by Alloa to appoint him. Same old problems ,players not being able to play his system, whatever that is, like with us he seemed to forget he was asking players to do things that are alien to them and they don’t possess the quality of the players who he played alongside during his career. Heard a lot of stories of disagreements with players simply because he doesn’t possess a very good man management style and his turnover of players was ridiculous. I don’t hold any grudges against him he tried hard to make a success of his time with us but ultimately he just doesn’t have what it takes.

At last a bit of character. Ffs take that finish into the next game and get that defence sorted.

I’m the same, all these names being brought up and I’m like who TF was he. Recognise some names but for the love of me I couldn’t put a face to them. The amount of players we have gone through in the last decade or so must be huge.

He maybe a few weeks behind before getting up to speed, don’t think he had ever been quoted for his athleticism. He is handful for any defence, happy with this.

Blasphemy, comparing Harty with DGW.

Des Walker, Willie Waters, John Mailer, they were scoring goals for fun that season. The first 3 games, beat Dumbarton 5-0, Forfar 5-3, Morton 5-1 in the league cup, it’s soon fizzled out unfortunately, if I’m not mistaken we handled Thistle their arses 4-1 a couple of times that season also.

I was not referring to our own supporters, more the opinions of others who are not too complimentary toward their ex-players. As DL has said he has done his homework and identified these players so I think we should show a little faith. I would imagine not too many Clyde fans myself included know much or even anything about these players and have already formed an opinion which i feel is a little unfair. I was just trying to add a bit of positivity and lift all the doom and gloom.

In my experience watching Clyde so many of our best players have come here with very low expectations and have turned out to be some of my favourite players, I don’t imagine many people had high expectations when we signed basically a full squad from the juniors and look how that turned out. Let’s just give the new guys a chance. Danny seems to be happy with his new recruits, I would trust Danny’s assessment more than I would trust some of the footballing geniuses on p&b.

Exactly, we have had many of our own who were absolutely stinking for us, a few that spring to mind Billy Reid at Accies, Stevie Logan at Meadowbank, Trouten everywhere he has played except for us, Tommy Tait at Accies and Kilmarnock, Kettlewell at Ross County, Darren Henderson the list is endless. FFS let’s give the guys a chance none of them have even kicked a ball for us yet. On the flip side how many signing have we made that got us all excited and turned out to be a total let down.

Thank god everyone is pleased with this signing, i wasn't sure, initially i thought he was well into his 30's but i do remember he was a very capable CH. Hopefully he still has another good season or 2 in him.

Really pleased with Gomis, i had hoped we could sign him but kept it to myself to avoid being ridiculed ,thought he would be out of our reach quite honestly. A good start, keep them coming.

Really ? I must have missed that one, the last i heard the case was dropped due to lack of evidence but if being accused and being guilty are the same thing in your book then fill your boots.

Hoops for me, it’s something different, the rest are all too plain.

Yes, a bit rough round the edges but has improved and developed well and has real potential. He has had a lot of injuries to contend with, the only risk is his fitness, he has missed so many games for us.

Higgins would definitely add some experience at the back, I think Howie would come on leaps and bounds playing along side him.

I’ve watched it over and over again and I still don’t see any issue with the goal. DGW is at worst level and you can see from the reverse view McGlinchy slightly hooks the ball back the way you can quite clearly see the spin on the ball it is definitely not going forward.

What am I missing here with Goodwillie’s goal ? At what point is he offside? Jamiesons shoots, he is onside, McGlinchy cuts the ball back he is still onside, what am I missing?
