Where has all the positivity gone from all us Clyde fans, ffs we are playing East Fife not fcuking Real Madrid. We have got a few positive aspects in our favour, we know exactly which result we need so there won’t be any confusion on how we approach the game, the guys are all buzzing from Saturday and should take a lot of confidence from that performance, we have had a decent rare rest period and time to prepare, we have got something to play for, we are past due a result against EF as we were against Dumbarton and one last thing we have David Goodwillie the best player in the division who is well capable of putting any team to the sword.

It wasn’t Clyde who were willing to put over 22 players in danger, that is not our call, the JRG made the decision for the game to carry on, it was found that your team are the only ones who broke any rules and your manager made a cock of himself telling lies.

I don’t think it is that much different at all. If the ruling was Hibs to receive 3-0 reversal if they didn’t play ,they played the fixture to avoid this but EF refused to play the fixture and are exempt from the same penalty, there is just no consistency in the gvng bodies decisions and they just make the rules up as they go along. Don’t get me wrong I’m not having a go at EF here, tbh if the roles were reversed I would imagine Clyde would do the same. Obviously forfeiting the game would have had a massive effect on Dumbarton who are blameless in all of this. I am not totally pleased with the outcome although it is the most sensible and fairest outcome including the fact Clyde could be disadvantaged heading into the possibility of playoff matches with less time to recuperate.

No one has had a busier league schedule than Clyde and then to add on 3 Scottish cup games on top of that. It has been tough on everyone, I don’t think anyone can complain about Clyde having any advantage when they clearly haven’t.

The way things stood before Tuesday was Dumbarton would have gone into their final match knowing what they needed to avoid the playoffs that was an advantage for them.

Good point, we may not have enough players to fulfill our next fixture, would that not automatically mean forfeiting the game and a 3-0 Forfar win ?

What an absolute shitfest of a season. A bit harsh to punish EF but Dumbarton will also be getting punished at the same time, fcuk knows what will happen now, a total shamble trying to finish the season, everyone suspected something like this would happen and who knows there may be more of this to come in the coming weeks.

They have to be informed 48 hrs before playing, Thursdays match test results came in almost exactly 48 hrs before said match, i would imagine the test results for last night match all came back negative and there was no issue with playing the game until Thursdays results came through I don’t understand why that is so difficult to comprehend, perhaps if the results had been received sooner this situation could have been avoided and dealt with better without a snap decision having to be made minutes before kick off.

You are absolutely correct, I would be raging if I was in Dumbarton’s position. Where is the fairness or integrity if Dumbarton end up in the playoffs due to these circumstances that is totally out of their control.

I would imagine the entire Clyde squad would now need to self isolate. The JRG are a fcuking joke if they gave the nod for the game to be played, if I was an EF player no chance in hell would I want to be playing and totally justified in their decision. I don’t have a clue where we go from here fulfilling remaining fixtures, a total fcuk up of a season.

The most plausible explanation would be that it was test results for Thursdays game that had a positive result as the results have to be submitted at least 48 hrs before that game. I would assume tonight’s results taken on Sunday all came back negative hence why everyone was stripped and ready to go because the game had been given the all clear.
