  1. Won't be easy, that certainly wasn't back to the walls. Darvel played some lovely stuff. Can see tickets going quick for this
  2. I play with a bunch of guys mostly in theirs 20's and we have only played 2 games on grass in the last 2 years. This includes the summer months. It's ridiculous.
  3. I played on a grass pitch in Glasgow yesterday. One of only 2 in my league and it was absolutely fantastic. Compared to the stadium pitch it was an absolute pleasure getting stuck into a tackle and getting up with only mud on you and not the usual 3rd degree burns.
  4. Aberdeen are the Premier League team most likely to shit the bed so I'll take that.
  5. In terms of the cup draw I'd be hoping for Elgin/Drumchapel or Hamilton.
  6. Your right, we were definitely in control of that first half eh?
  7. He's a good defender but he's bot a world beater ffs. McKay was arguably our most consistent player yesterday and Mackie is naturally left sided which IMO is very important in a defensive pairing.
  8. Mackie is naturally left sided though and done nothing today to deserve being dropped. No need to shoehorn Donaldson in.
  9. The difference between how Rice sets up a team and how McGlynn sets us up is staggering. We look like the part time diddies.
  10. The club will make still be making a pretty penny from the foundation with all the block bookings in the pitch. They are tied into this agreement (or at least all the foundation teams are). A good few grand a week from that.
  11. Celtic 4-0 Morton Alloa Ath 1-2 Falkirk Arbroath 0-2 Motherwell Cove Rangers 1 -3 Ayr Utd Dundee Utd 6-0 University Of Stirling Elgin City 1-1 Drumchapel Utd Hamilton Accies 0-3 Ross County Inverness CT 1-0 Queen's Park Kilmarnock 4-0 Dumbarton Linlithgow Rose 2-2 Raith Rovers Partick Thistle 0-2 Dunfermline Ath St. Mirren 2-1 Dundee Stenhousemuir 0-3 Livingston St. Boycott 1-0 Rangers Hibernian 0-1 Hearts Darvel 1-4 Aberdeen
  12. Come on, the game at EEP we went out all guns blazing and that is why Burrells had joy in the first half. Like any defender, they will be tested more under pressure. The game at TFS, Bendictus had his slippers on all game. He would walk into our defence.
  13. Can see this being off for another silly reason. It will barely be above freezing until Saturday afternoon so no doubt another frozen pipe will put the game off. Holding off on tickets until Saturday.
  14. No. Get a win in the cup and a Premiership side in the next round can easily be the difference between signing a good striker and not. Also we dispatched Alloa comfortably back in October. They were poor.
  15. Not to the tune of 2900 more (in Motherwells case). Motherwell have used fan ownership to integrate with the local community fully embrace more than we ever will with our current structure. The one that I don't understand is that we are lagging way behind Morton.
  16. So why only mention it to some sponsors? The club have begged us for cash since the summer (which I have no issue with) so the least we can expect is transparency with the matter.
  17. It would be interesting to see if Syngenta as a youth club were really keen to progress into adult football at all or if the Pennies merger was just a carrot dangled in front of them with a bit of financial incentive. As you say, they wouldn't have that experience and if the senior team disagree with things then they may wish to just revert back to how they have always operated.
  18. You are right but I imagine a lot of them were there before Syngenta going senior was ever suggested. Will be interesting to see what happens but when you see a senior team like Syngenta turn up on the scene and do so well so quickly, there is always a chance it will fall apart just as fast.
  19. Personally I'd trust the committee of the long standing (60 odd years), respected youth club ahead of the guy who has bankrolled an amateur team and then folded them at the first chance to join the EoS. It was always a vanity project.
  20. Looking forward to Saturday, both teams scoring goals at the moment so hopefully shapes up to be a decent game. Without the pressures of the league I can see both teams going for it. With any luck we will have a striker signed in time. Weather dependent I can see a good 1000-1200 going over.
  21. Falkirk played Malta in Jun 1953. Won 2-0. Played a few locals team as well while on tour.
  22. Oliver played well, twice he should've connected with the ball and finished dbetter but his movement, touch and hold up play was as good as you can hope for.
  23. They complimented each other quite well. Get an hour out of 1 and get the other on to run the legs off defenders without having to change your game too much.
  24. spent more time on the ground than anything else and seemed to get worse as time went on.
