  1. You can share the data with Strava and the rest very easily. Forerunners work with cycling too, indeed you culd take your 500 with you if you went for a jog. It is a (very) glorified speedo but the range of data you can record is amazing and useful if you want to become a full blown lycra warrior!
  2. I've just got a 500 and had 1 ride with it. So far it seems amazing, certianly doesn't drop GPS signals like my phone. And it has so many features, I've not even looked at half of them!
  3. Unless you are a citizen or a permanent resident you'll have to pay the foreign student fees in Australia, which is a lot!
  4. Please tell me you went through the ford at that pace!!
  5. That looks fantastic! I'm hoping to go to the Alps next summer. How did you find the climbs every day as the ride progressed? I'm guessing you must be in decent shape!
  6. I find them comparable to other tyres to fit. If you struggle with your hands, tyre levers will get them on no bother.
  7. Anyone got any tips on hill climbing? I'm ok but can't get close to the top guys on Strava!
  8. If you're just starting out cycling then you are going to be slow and sore. Keep at it and in a few months you'll be doing 20 miles without breaking sweat! I regard 50km as a wee spin but when I started cycling it seemed like an impossible distance. Now, I'm just warmed up!
  9. Leaving from Shawlands. I've done a few out to Barrhead and Neilston which are ok. Just wondering if there a few gems of routes out on the moors.
  10. Any of the 7stanes. Kirroughtree being my favourite. On another topic, has anyone got any good routes for road cycling leaving from south Glasgow that also has a decent bit of climbing too?
  11. Did the black run at Kirroughtree recently, what a fantastic run. The descent from Talnotry was amazing! Anyone else done it?
  12. I saw them in Melbourne just before Christmas playing Rust in Peace. His voice had gone by Lucretia! But what a guitarist, love when he plays his solo in Holy Wars and doesn't even look at his fretboard! What's everyones opinion on Risk? I actually enjoy a few of the tunes off it, especially Breadline and, weirdly, Time the End.
