  1. Interesting stuff - so bascially they can't tighten up the wages and the rats have been given a liferaft to leave the sinking ship. What a mess. I wonder if Rangers realise these legalities in that they can't be above th law - just above the SPL, SFA and SFL - where they may end up next season.
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you don't like something - YOU DONT BUY IT... If you have a choice.
  3. #Rangers administrators say they have told Brian Kennedy his latest verbal offer is not capable of acceptance. It makes it seem that the offer must bow down to Rangers' greatness and become more capable!
  4. Wow what HATE - not healthy. And that forum is a cracker - couldn't help but see how the fanbase is fracturing in other threads. I think they honestly beleive that with their buying power they can cripple Scottish Football - mistaken me thinks. A bigoted Rangers fan who travels 4 hours round trip to a game is a rare species as opposed to a County of Caley fan who travels less than 4 hours to an away game.
  5. Without understandning the conventions at work - I wouldn't become a debtor of Rangers if given the choice just like St Johnstone. The combination of a rangers fan boycott and then being thrown straight back into the SPL and not Division 3 show how irrelevant this club seems to be to most.
  6. AS there isn;t much play during the summer, this always seems to be an issue. I suppose I want the kit to be good, because it is one I'm destined to buy because it shows County's first sojourn into the SPL. I just hope Diadora have moved away from that thing on the shoulders with all the circles. I've never bought a Diadora kit - what is the quality like? I really liked the quality of the adidas stuff a few seasons back. Do we have a design yet?
  7. I hope it is a nice kit as I would love to buy it with SPL patches and name and number. IMHO the Diadora stuff can look a wee bit too modernist italian. Something more conservative might be better??? Much preferred the Nike and Adidas kits.
  8. OMG, this whole saga has been something akin to some type of torture. Will someone tap this AM guy on the shoulder already If this were some other countries, there would be riots in the streets. Where are all the pasisonate Livi supporters? Deluded? Arrogant? Drunk? Spain? or broke from spending their £149.50?
  9. So in other words, if Livi goes into interim liquidtation, they can play this season? Shouldn't the SPL step in
  10. IF it is all about the club, then why wouldn't AM just step down. He wants everyone to help him but not loose face himself. As has been said, AM has to go otherwise Livi have NO hope. Most folk with serious money have got it either through dodgy dealings or through business acumen. IF an investor has the latter, they aren't likely to sit by and see their money pished up against a wall by this unstable contender for village idiot. As for the Griffiths money, I'm sure he is happy to be off the sinking ship though is probably owed wages. I hope some creditor has it, I can see the comedic scenes of pitchfork wielding creditors with fire torches knocking down the Carling Italia Bar entrance where Massone is cowering. It must be remembered, that one less happy sponsor or supplier is one less happy sponsor or supplier for the entire game in Scotland. The solvency and cash flow and potential for innovation amongst suppliers can be tested by such non payments. As for AM leaving the country, that would be really stupid on his part. They would track him down and drag him over the coles of the fire. Besides, he's a lwayer and if he wouldn't be able to practise ever again if he did that. If he didn't turn up to court dates involving him being accused of something, it would get very messy. IT would be the end of him as a public figure for sure. Bad for the ego.
  11. soooo, AM has the Council by the balls, he has 15 players and a league place and that is what West Lothian Council want. How far can taking advantage of the council's desperation get AM? We all seem to beleive that AM is morally, ethically and probably financially bankrupt and if I were a ratepayer in West Lothian, I would be asking some serious questions about the moral and ethical standards of my council if they let AM continue and then perhaps even give him the stadium, due to AM blackmailing them into submission. But surely if WLC were so concerned abotu keeping senior football in Livingston, that they would be concerned about the way the club is being run, because even if they get a ground deal sorted, they still only have 15 players, their three big names sold on and a support which is pretty jaded by the whole experience.
  12. The main thing that needs to change is the way in which the business is run. It doesn't matter whether they come back from administration or re-structure debt. unless they sort out their business model and live within their means, we will keep having these threads every season.
  13. I'm no expert on contract law, but a contract is an agreement between two parties, so if AM hasn't been paying people, it is he/the club who have been breaching the contract. AS scuh I can't see much reason why any player couldn't just walk away. As far as fielding a side, how many do they need? I am sure it is at least 7 or 8 to not have to forfeit, though going through a season with a squad of 15 sounds a bit scary
  14. Yeah, but the SPL should get crucified if they allow Livi to start the season. Getting one team down is not acceptable. Put em in the third division or elect someone else pure and simple...
  15. I guess then that as has been the case all along, that someone will have to get some gumption and hold AM accountable, be it the Council on Tuesday or the SFL. If they are allowed to start the season, then the SFL really have rocks in their heads and the financial cost to other clubs from losing two home gates won't go down well.
  16. I get the feelings this is jsut another "clutching at straws" moment for AM where he is grabbing for money and trying to undermine the Trust by starting his own. It seems whtever he is doing, it is in an attempt to pull to wool over peoples' eyes.
  17. Intersting enough game. I had football traiing at the same time which was a bit of an organisational oversight. IO would have thought they'd close the grounds... Not as one sided as many suggested. As for being here permantently, I am not entirely sure - but here is where the work is...
  18. I think he must be deluded if he thinks he can make a go of it by insisting everyone else bails him out
  19. AM seems to be crawling from one buffet to the next, whilst crying for pity. Perhaps heading into the EoS is the litmus test of Livi as a club. AS has been said, when you have ownership and feel that your opinion counts, you are more likely to be motivated to see it suceeds. ATM, I can't see why AM should eb allowed to hang around. for mine, the lack of accounting transperancy - the fact that noone knows how much money AM has put in, is an absolute fooking joke. Perhaps the SFL should put Livi into some sort of assisted administration. Not that they would pay for Livis misdeeds, but that they would go in an get the club running within its means in a proper way. If the club can't run, then it should be wound up. Any folk with cash to put in will no doubt wait for adminsitration - why would you put up with that level of debt. This brings another issue, is it morally ethical for a benefactor to allow a club to go into Administration before taking over. By alienating the council and fans in this way, any revamped Livi club which doesn't invovle the fans would be an absoluite PR coup. Anyone who coems in should live AM suggest we will win the Champions LEague etc, I think Livi fans need some reality and realistic goals based on proper oprating prinicples in Football Club Administration As for old Firm connections, I too think it is inevitable that two big clubs in Glasgow which have cycled through many players, coaches, managers etc, should not pop up at other clubs. In many places, having someone turn up from a bigger club would be applauded, though this seems a wee bit tainted in Scotland for various reasons. I'm more concerned about where such folk could take my club than where they have come from.
  20. Before I spend 10 million, I'd like to know where the accounts are at - my suspicion is things aren't so great. If Livi fans don't mobilise in some way shape of form, the hsitory books will judge them by their apathy or complicity surely.
  21. This does sound like a good development. Where does AM get the arrogance to insist on having the money he invested back? Cost of doing business...
  22. No matter which club you support, the assumption is that most folk on here can seen a whole heap of alarm bells with regard to the conduct of AM and the prospects of Livingston FC.
