  1. Well done to Musselburgh.Disappointing for Oakley, given their excellent first half performance, but after a tremendous second half showing from 'Burgh, they deservedly lifted the trophy.Hopefully Oakley can carry their recent good form onto league business and continue to climb the table. Excellent hospitality in The Dean pre match and thanks to all at Nitten for hosting a brilliant occasion, especially the person who pulled out number 311 in the half time raffle
  2. Congratulations to Musselburgh.Oakley done well, but a strong second half showing deservedly won the cup for 'Burgh.Hope you all enjoyed your evening and all the best for the rest of the season.
  3. Not on Facebook, gave it up years ago. Would imagine Casey's figure of £7 is right, although for tight fisted Fifers used to paying £6 it could be a step too far. Hope there's a good atmosphere,a great game and both sets of fans enjoy their day in the spotlight.
  4. Looks likely The Dean will be getting our custom, seems a decent boozer with a good community feel, going by what I've just read on their website.Cheers for the heads up NB. Was checking Twitter accounts and websites for admission prices for the game, but was surprised by the lack of info available.Doesn't seen to be getting much if a build up which is a shame.
  5. Really looking forward to this, days like this don't come around too often.Heading over by train early doors to take in the "cup final fever". Musselburgh start as favourites, and rightly so after last week's excellent result against Camelon, but underestimate Oakley at your peril, they've put a fantastic set of results together over the last couple of months and are quietly confident of lifting the trophy, which will be the first silverware since the East Region Central Division triumph in 2011.
  6. A convincing 4-0 victory for Kelty tonight,as easy as the scoreline suggests. As good as Kelty needed to be,but to be fair,Berwick were pretty dross. Crowd of 295.Pretty decent all things considered, and hats off to the handful of Berwick fans that made the journey.
  7. Headcount just after half time at Oakley-Heriot Watt Uni was 67. Great stuff again from Oakley, who are really playing well at the moment.Unfortunately the bookies have finally cottoned on and were only offering 10/11 for a home win today. Looking forward to the cup final next Sunday, should be a good day out.
  8. Superb performance from Inverkeithing against a disappointing Burntisland side.Controlled the match from start to finish, couple of outstanding goals and a real feeling of team togetherness.Day was made when I won the half time raffle(bottle of smirnoff). Headcount of 109,but as was busy chatting to an old friend only got the chance to count once.
  9. Another impressive result for Oakley against a good Dunipace side.Could've went either way but Oakley seem to have that "something about them" at the moment.
  10. Fantastic win for Oakley.Missed the Dunbar goal due to havering in the pie queue but by all (Oakley support) accounts it was offside.Pretty even first half but Oakley deservedly won in the end,the second goal was a peach and if it wasn't for a few superb saves from the Dunbar keeper it could've been more.Thought there might've been a few more in attendance given the amount of games that were off in Fife.Well done to both sets of players for putting on a good show despite the poor underfoot conditions.
  11. Half time headcount at Oakley-Dunbar was 135.Good support up from Dunbar.
  12. Excellent performance again by Oakley away from home.Thought they were the better team throughout and was surprised when Kinnoull equalised.Took an og to win it,although Oakley were piling it on at that moment..Special shout out for the Kinnoull keepers' save in the 1st half.Wow!!
  13. Near carnage gogsy. My daughters' fury at not even being close with the half time draw was only averted when she claimed the last steak n gravy pie.
  14. Half time headcount at Kinnoull-Oakley is 59,including a 10 strong Oakley support!
  15. Kelty fielding a mostly u-20 side. Are Cowden doing likewise? Was thinking of heading along to this, don't think I'll bother now.
  16. Back down to earth for Oakley yesterday, although they were without 3 regulars from the impressive midweek performance, including both central midfielders.Take nothing away from Leith though, who took advantage in the best way possible by racing to a 3 goal lead within the first half hour, the first resulting from a poor clearance by the keeper, before Oakley went down to 10(harshly in my opinion, looked liked they just ran into each other) before half time.Leith totally controlled the game after that, with little to get the decent sized crowd overly excited about, and ran out worthy winners.
  17. Pars also beat Bordeaux in a friendly in the late 80's(on pens after a 1-1 draw),and beat New Zealand down there just before the millenium.
  18. Was just at the Malaga-Espanyol game a few weeks back.Nothing planned until April, then it's either Werder Bremen v Bochum or Hannover v Cologne on the Sat and either Osnabruck v Rostock or Oldenburg v TuS Lingen on the Sunday.
