  1. I wish we had pulled a similar stunt as Huddersfield just to see the complete heads gone on Well Fans II.
  2. My deadlift has always been bigger than my squat. I always pushed deadlifts a bit more because if you fail a deadlift you drop the bar a few inches to the ground. I'd use pins when squatting but when you're at the bottom of a squat and realise that you're not getting back up its never a nice feeling. As another example, my best squat was around 210kg. This morning I went to the gym with the intention of doing 5 sets of 6 at 130kg. The first 4 sets were a struggle but I just about managed. Got to 3 reps on the last set and packed it in because my back just didn't feel comfortable. Back pain is a b*****d.
  3. About 3 months ago I got hit with sciatica, which I've had in the past but nothing like this. It seems to have cleared up for the most part (still get a twinge every now and then) but I hadn't deadlifted in about 2 months so decided to start off light and work up, adding 10% on to the bar each week. My first week back deadlifting I started with 120kg and it felt like twice that. Up until a couple of years ago I used to do the odd powerlifting meet and my max deadlift was 260kg. I reckon I'll be lucky to get anywhere near that again - short term aim is to crack 200kg again by the end of the year.
  4. I thought Declan Gallagher was immense. Seedorf and Hylton have bags of pace. Liam Donnelly looked excellent in midfield. James Scott still has a lot to learn but took his 2 goals well. A good night all round.
  5. Some of our fans would be raging if the kit had no sponsor. God forbid that grown adults don't get to walk about with the logo for a betting company / estate agent / budget airline / DIY store plastered across their chest.
  6. Killie's under 20's could still get whichever Northern Irish mob are in the Caramel Log cup this season. That way they'll at least get to cross a sea. There's hope yet lads!
  7. Delighted with that. It just shows how quickly things can change in football. I (like a few others) wouldn't have been the slightest bit bothered if Robinson was punted or left at the start of the year after the shite we had to endure for the first half of the season.
  8. I can't see it myself. Not that i'm too bothered as I've always thought Magennis was a bit of a donkey. Going by his stats on Wiki, he averages a goal roughly every 6 games or so. Over a league campaign that equates to about 6 goals a season. If we wanted a big battering ram of a striker who runs about a lot but doesn't score enough, we would have been as well keeping hold of Curtis Main.
  9. Frankfurt must have raked in a fair bit this summer between this and Jovic moving to Real Madrid.
  10. You could try seated shoulder presses on a bench without the back support. It means you're still working your core to support the weigh but it eliminates the ability to use any leg drive and purely works your shoulders. Your could also try Z-Presses (Link) which are also good but I don't find them very comfortable as my hamstrings / lower back tend to cramp up when doing them for some reason.
  11. £15m for McBurnie and £45m for Lewis Dunk. The English league is becoming an embarrassment (if it hasn't already).
  12. It always amazes me but I would genuinely say that about 80% of the bellends I come across on the road are driving Audis. The other 20% are usually Mercedes or BMW drivers.
  13. St Mirren are hilariously shite.
  14. Push (chest, shoulders, triceps) / Pull (back, biceps) / Legs is the most straightforward method in my view. I tend to split weight sessions up into 3 days a week and then throw in a day for cardio.
  15. Nothing against Frear but he's doing well if he manages to get himself a move to League 1. Also, do Oxford only ever scout our games?
  16. This is his Wikipedia page. If that doesn't make it official then I don't know what does.
  17. He's been strongly linked with Inter Milan. Leaves him with a decision to make if Killie are interested as well.
  18. The trialist is quite clearly Gboly Ariyibi wearing some sort of disguise.
  19. I think he got a bit of a hard time. Wasn't as bad as some folk made out but was a pretty pointless signing for us considering we already had Curtis Main. My main criticism of him would be that, for a big guy, he's fairly useless in the air. He seemed to look much better having the ball played into his feet and he actually has a decent turn of pace. I reckon he'll score a few goals in League 1.
  20. I'm sure some mob in the French 3rd division offered Dembele about £6k* a week which obviously blew us clean out the water. *I may have exaggerated this figure.
