I don't really understand the logic in Celtic loaning us Johnston or Morgan when they could loan them to Real Madrid, for example.

I can't think who we signed as Hall's replacement. Mcmanus definitely helped him. He was poor in the under 20s cup final despite being established in the first team at that point.

Turnbull will end up at a bigger club than Celtic. Maybe Burnley, Brighton or Southampton.

We used to get free tickets at primary school during the 02/03 season (when we finished bottom). My first game was against Livingston and I always thought that we conceded in the first minute. I've just looked it up and it turns out it took them 9 minutes to score. We went on to lose 5-1. My next game was against Dundee United a few weeks later and Jim Hamilton scored for them in the first minute in that game so i'm possibly getting both games mixed up. We ended up losing that one 2-1.

I don't buy a season ticket because I don't go to games against the Old Firm. I'm at most other home games so it's more costs effective for me over the course of the season just to pay at the gate.

Can John Sutton be considered a lone striker? He's certainly the most handsome striker we've had.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Ross McCormack has been released by Villa. Does anyone think it would be worth offering him a deal? If we can get him fit and enjoying football again then there's definitely still a player in there. Obviously we couldn't pay anywhere near what he was on at Villa but 3 goals in 3 seasons along with various other issues doesn't really put him in the strongest negotiation position.

If I was fortunate enough to be in Turnbull's position then Celtic wouldn't even be an option for me. Hopefully he has enough belief in his own ability to aim higher than that.

That has the makings of a decent squad. The interesting one for me is Hartley. I assumed he'd be gone (and there's still plenty of time for that to be the case) but I wouldn't be at all disappointed if he stayed. If he can get a good pre-season under his belt and get back to how he was when he first signed then he's pretty much a like-for-like replacement for Aldred (who, ironically, was a replacement when Hartley got injured in the first place).

I would have thought it was pretty clear from my post that I was giving examples of 'keepers in the same league who I think are better than Bain rather than 'keepers who I think should play for Scotland. I'm well aware that not all of those that I gave as examples are Scottish.
