You can watch the programme here

Something has to be done about these animals.  Large scale organised crime are breeding massive, aggressive, genetically damaged animals and selling them for thousands of pounds to people.  Often these animals are mutilated soon after birth.

You can look to the government to update the laws governing this stuff - they probably should although it's very tricky.  What does it say about our shitty society that so many people demand animals like this?  The worlds fucked.

part in bold for me. if there wasn't a demand then no one would create these animals.

you do have to feel sorry for most of the pups though. very short life expectancy and by the sounds of it a very difficult life when they are alive. legs that can't support your weight for dog must be tough.

They also blew a 24 point half-time lead over the Broncos that completely took the wind out of their sails and killed the season. This game was always a toss-up, and a 1 point Jags win isn't a shock, even if the manner of how the game played out is still completely inexcusable from a Chargers perspective.

That game will always have a special place I’m my heart. I watched it on my laptop on the bbc website as my wife was giving birth to our daughter. She had been given her epidural and fell asleep just as the game started. Thankfully fourth valley was a new hospital and had great Wi-Fi.

  3. Recorded it and just watched it, what a game for everyone but chargers fans.

give Lawrence his due it takes balls to come back from that first half although not all the ints looked to be on him.

payton to the chargers next season?

Not sure about this, but there are no rules that dictate who you have to put on the field or who you have to play. You could protect your offensive players by just punting the ball away on 1st Down of every single possession if you like, or you could just line up and take a knee on every single snap (I have vague memories of a team doing exactly this for 2 or 3 drives in the 4th quarter, Packers IIRC), it just means you are going to have your Defensive and ST players have to pick up the slack.

I think Staley is a big believer in continuity and momentum, hence why he put the starters out there and had them play for most of the game. The playcalling was even more conservative and vanilla than usual, so that suggests he wasn't playing entirely as if it was just a typical regular season game. The defense in particular was totally vanilla and defensive backups were in the game practically from the start, and again, he did pull the offensive starters eventually, but I think he felt that having the players get reps and go into Saturday like it was any other week was preferable to having them suit up in Jax not having played a meaningful snap in two weeks. I totally understand that mindset, but it means that it's inevitable someone is going to get injured at some point, that's just the kickback of that approach.

win this weekend and it'll all be forgotten.

It usually follows the pattern of 'preliminary discussions' in order to establish interest, which is where we are right now, then if there's a desire to take it forward it moves on to negotiations between the relevant franchises to agree compensation, and only once that is agreed is there anything formal happening between Payton and a prospective employer regards contract length, salary etc.

Just because the Saints agree one specific comp with one team that doesn't mean that the comp will have to be exactly the same from any other. The point is, regardless of where Payton decides he wants to go, whether that's a loaded team with a bunch of picks, or a no-hoper with nothing, between them and the Saints they'll figure something out, even if it's conditional picks years down the line from now.

Folk are getting too hung up on the '1st rounder' thing. That's only what the League would view as compulsory comp if Payton decided to go rogue and sign with whoever he liked and to hell with the Saints. It doesn't mean that anyone has to actually give the Saints a 1st rounder in order to sign Payton.

    thanks for the explanation.

  6. was there not a team who played the whole game with 2-3 tight ends to save their WR's from injury? Giants?

for a game that didn't matter they should have put as many reserves out there as possible and used this as their bye week. As you say why Herbert played at all  never mind most of the game was iffy.

Mike Williams officially with a 'Questionable' tag.

My prediction - he takes a shot before the game, decides he's playing. The first pass thrown his way will be a jump-ball, which he'll go up for, come down in a heap clutching his back, hobble off, you won't see him the rest of the game, and it totally deflates the Chargers who roll over without much of a fight.

Oh, and Etienne to go over 150 yards on the ground, the Jags 200+ as a team, and still the Staley fangirls will deny it's an issue and it's just a 'feature' of Staley's scheme.

he should never have played last week.

I'm going for 49ers, Jags, Bills, Vikings, Bengals, no contest both knocked out.

  8. I wonder how the 'trade' for Payton will work out.

Payton picks the bronco's and we offer pick 32 in the draft.  Cardinals offer pick 3 but Payton says I'm not going there.

You would think that the Saints would have nailed down exactly what they were getting in a trade before allowing him to speak to all and sundry.

the words that have been released about Denver's request is 'the Broncos never flinched at the though of the first rounder the saints are looking for' nothing in there that says compensation has been agreed.

Denver’s one-and-done new turf is nice though.

i wonder if they have been tipped off that Mile High is getting picked if it is Bills v Chiefs in the championship game.

otherwise why waste $400k for 1 game?

I get where you're coming from. More gentle comedy than laugh out loud.

you've described it much better than I did, thanks

1 week left and Steelmen's Picks 1 are 60pts clear at the top. Surely he can't do a Falcons/Colts style collapse? Some minor positional changes are probably inevitable. Personally, I'm looking to catch Doulikefish and finish 16th which given my start would be a decent outcome.

    just call me Matt Ryan.

  12. got a free 6 months to apple tv and gave this a go. I liked it but how has it won comedy awards? I just didn't find it funny, enjoyable but not laugh out loud funny.
