  1. a tie???? can't have that in American sports.

I guess we are going to find out how sensitive NFL management are. I think the fairest thing to do is call it a non contest and move on as there is no way the Bills (or bengals) players are going to be ready to play tomorrow and then again on Monday. Their heads must be all over the place watching that happen to a teammate.

    guess we will see.

Was wondering why I could only find YouTube highlights of 1st Quarter 😬

You and me both, so i just watched the 1st quarter highlights and it was a game living up to its billing.

Thoughts with the poor guy and his family, fingers crossed he pulls through this. hopefully the fact he's only 24 and fit will help him.

no idea what the NFL will do. there is no real time to make them play it but giving them a loss only helps the chiefs (and the refs do that enough). I think it will go down as a no contest.

what pissed me off was several new agency's were attacking Goodell and the NFL for giving the players 5 minutes to warm up before continuing but it was Taylor and McDemott that said we are not playing. Turns out this never happened but it is still being reported by some as fact. Why make sh!t like this up just to point score against the league?

  3. No surprise that the cowboys won but they didn't have make a meal of it against a bunch of back ups.

looks like the Cowboys will be 1 and done in the play offs this season again.

Andrew Tate’s dad was a chess grandmaster who worked for the CIA as a linguist #controlledopposition

Anyway, here’s a Christmas punch up in a Georgia waffle house. I’ve not watched it with the sound on so apologies if they say naughty words.

Textbook chair block from the Waffle House cook, amazing stuff. Get her to lay into Andrew Tate, the c**t wouldn’t last two minutes.

Why can't the folk who film these things stand still and stop shouting so we can hear what the actual fighters are screaming at each other???

  5. Second season of Alice in Borderland has dropped. picked right up where it left last time. Really good watch.

edit - Finished it last night, brought it to a conclusion... or has it..

Guess it depends on viewing figures. Although someone reporting it will be bloodier than ever (even though no one official has said anything about a possible season 3)

Can you not just log into your account online and alter your DD without having to contact their CS all the time?

Otherwise, if you can budget for it, swap to a variable DD so you still get the savings on a DD, but just pay for what you use each month.

I'm with EDF and you used to be able to do this, and the help pages tell you where to go to change your DD.... but EDF have removed the ability to vary your DD.

We contacted them via the chat with the title 'i want to change my direct debit' and they went into a 6 message rant about how they know more than me and my DD is set to what is best for my account. My first message was i want to increase it by £25 and their reply was 'i have done that for you now'

I am sure they get a lot of people who are struggling and want to reduce their payment but at least let me tell you want i want before shooting me down and telling me you know more than i do.

  7. Really good game to watch. Adams is playing like a man possessed, no wonder Green Bay look lost without him.

Fair play to Baker with that come back but why did Wolford get pulled after 3 hand offs?

I know Google is my friend and all that, but just in case anyone here happens to know the answer! It’s only taken me to week 14 to realise Neil Reynolds and Sky haven’t had the ‘Around the NFL podacast’ guys on their live shows. Any reason? I can’t believe I hadn’t even noticed it until now. 🤐

i do listen to the podcast and I am sure they are getting Neil on a guest soonish. They have had the girl (ex Bills coach) on with them this season.

they mentioned that Greg does the Channel 5 coverage on a Monday night, maybe that is why sky don't want them?

An appeals court has struck down the appointment of a ‘special master’ to review government documents seized at Trump’s Florida residence.  It’s good news for the DoJ but also for the rule of law and the apparent willingness of most judges not to put political allegiances ahead of due process.

It also calls into question the ethical standards of the judge who agreed to appoint the special master.  Aileen Cannon looks to be one of these Trump appointees who will put political allegiances first and has been rebuked by the appeal court judges.

Trump, is finding that his appointed judges, including SC Justices, are not necessarily going to dance to his tune.  I can’t see him being too happy about that.

Wonder if it is the same as this country, no matter how many slap downs they get they can't be sacked. they can be moved aside but still its a job for life.

Can I just say that your hypothetical is my exact situation. I have about £850 credit in my account. The majority of that has accumulated over the last three months as my usage has been drastically lower than their estimates. I had a hot tub running last summer which is, for obvious reasons, now very much off. I’ve also replaced a fucked old boiler that was probably about 40% efficient when it went with a brand new condensing boiler that’s 90% efficient. I’ve also cut usage in various other ways eg adjusting boiler temps, adjusting the thermostat timings/temperatures and just in general using less power.

The problem is your power company won’t let you knock the DD down until they actually see that effect hitting in the meter readings, which is only really kicking in now. They’ve let me drop my direct debits by about 20% in the last two months but I fully expect it to come down even further next month. If I leave the £850 with them I could probably pay nothing til February and not go into debt with them but that’s not an option.

a lot like me... minus the hot tub.

For our Gas had over £1k in credit with EDF, as my wife was a doors open heating up full type of woman before we got our bill in 2 years ago and we owed them about £500. I have managed to get her to cut back a lot on the heating but she wanted to have the buffer coming into this winter as out cheap fixed price ended on Sept 30th.

We did ask for a refund of some of it as we are still paying £175 a month and our spend seems to have increased to around £250. so we are using about £75 a month of that credit. They refunded £110

Assume at Tailgating there has to be a designated driver? Or do they just get twatted and drive?

get pissed and drive home. I was offered a lift on my last trip, i declined and got an Uber

  12. i was watching Millionaire Pawn on one of the ITV channels last night and they had a guy come in who had been collecting watches  over the last 6 years. He had spent around £260k on them. looked to have about 10-12 on the tray.

He had been a pretty bad accident recently and had re-evaluated his life and wanted to sell the watches he had collected. you can image his face when the guy told him he would buy them from him for £525k.

The worst outcome is that they choose not to make a decision. It will just delay matters further.

Of course ruling that there is no mechanism for Scotland to choose independence isn't great either but, a definitive legal ruling that the union is nothing of the sort and instead a constitutional prison, isn't going to help/will be disastrous for No in the medium to long term.

This is the path i think they will go down. They will agree with the UK government that due process hasn't been followed and force the SG, or and MSP, to ignore the Lord Advocates advice and bring forth a bill and then we get to go through it all again.

    Aww, wee shame, that.

Well, she's apparently useless with money, and her partner's a Tory - I'll be shocked if he hasn't made sure everything of value's in his name.

Doesn't matter in POCA proceedings. Doing that just counts as a tainted gift and can still be seized and sold. Bankruptcy is also no issue, as the crown can freeze all assets and get its pay out first before the other creditors.

Considering it seems that she was a disorganised mess who got into the embezzlement thing because she was fucking useless with money, you'd presume this is just to force her into bankruptcy.

Unless she has wealth that hasn't been reported, which would make her seem even worse.

well they will get their order for £xxxxxx and she will have to, or they will on her behalf, sell her house, cars etc. to pay it off.

Bought one of those heater airers from Lakeland, the one that comes with the wee tent thing you chuck over it, as it seemingly costs pennies to run.

One of the biggest wastes of money I've ever spent. It's fucking useless. First time I tried it I had it on for 8 hours and only the bits of clothing that were in physical contact with it were dry, with the rest of the stuff being just as wet as when they came out of the washing machine (and I always do a spin/rinse cycle after each load of washing).

Tried it again but this time with a (also pricey) dehumidifier inside the wee tent bit. Not a single bit of difference and the dehumidifier was bone fucking dry after 8 hours.

Not sure you are using the dehumidifier correctly as it will pick up water in the air, so unless you stay in the desert you should pick up something.

    Always about the SNP

Meanwhile the UK government gave Boris' cousins card shop business £2bn for PPI, Nick Hancock's sisters bakery £5bn for PPI etc etc and wondered why nothing turned up.

I've not really listened to the SG's statements but I have never ever heard NS say that she wants a hard border in the UK. I have very little respect for the Tories but come on just making shit up and being allowed to do it is yet another reason we need to get out of this shitshow (and there are plenty bigger reasons)
