  1. I find it hard to criticise anyone that is still committed enough to follow the club given how easy it would be to stop going, as many have.

I may not agree with how certain people behave but that’s up to them. At least some are still passionate and care about that state of the club. To me sitting in quiet acceptance and turning on others venting their frustration is worse than ranting at the players for being shite (as unproductive as this ultimately is).

Have seen the straight answer published on here - but I guess you are looking for simplistic and slavish support of your viewpoint rather than a reasoned explanation as already communicated

I’ve had a browse over the Cowden thread and the main reason seems to be concerns over the number of league games.

If the SFA refused to sanction an increase in size beyond 16 unless it was to accommodate B-teams that is frankly ridiculous. The highland league runs with 18 and seems to have far more problems getting games played than the lowland. The SFA needs put under pressure by clubs over this as they haven’t a leg to stand on.

All that said none of the other former SPFL clubs or proper outfits like Linlithgow, Bo’ness etc were moved enough to support b-teams so why did Cowdenbeath panic and join the ranks of pop-up clubs, universities and glorified boys clubs.

Or I could be calling it how it is. Let’s keep GT and watch the team get relegated to the junior league. I was on the board and witnessed this idiot first hand,

You’ve been grinding that axe so hard I’m surprised there’s any left.

If Howie is still injured it'll likely be big Pedro Grant that plays and let me tell you, Matty Aitken will be able to pull out his best impression of bespectacled berk Heston Blumenthal against that boy

Peter grant will surely also be injured, or at least he better be after sitting down on the half way line and selling Forfar their second goal on Tuesday.

His name was supposedly in the mix for the Clyde job. If can find another club willing to sign up for the circus he brings that's in the SPFL he'd take it.

His name wasn’t in the mix but his pal in the press would have you believe that it was. They also claimed he had turned it down leaving us to turn in desperation to Ian McCall. Like a candidate of mccalls calibre would be playing second fiddle to the chicken man 🤣.

Can't see Brechin or Clyde or anyone stopping East Kilbride coming up this time!

In fact I'd even make EK early favourites to win League Two next season!

Their squad is stacked with good players who should be playing league football ⚽️

Literally the only plus of this raging bin fire of a season would be if we managed to deny those absolute bellends (MK & SF) promotion. That would almost make it all worth while in itself.

Sadly I have zero confidence that will happen as our squad are a bunch of cowards who routinely shit the bed in anything approaching an important game.

How times change.  There was once a time when Clyde laughed at merging with EK.  I remember the superiority complex shown by many Clyde posters.

The fact that a name change of the club was involved made it an absolute no. I think you’re making the second bit up.

Are serious questions not being asked about McCall?

Considering the level of player he has as it disposal just now every time its a must win game his team has lost.

Perhaps his time as a manager is up.

You could argue he’s doing an even worse job than Duffy and McLean (in terms of everything bar recruitment) given there is a significant improvement in playing personnel but very little improvement in results.

His comments post Forfar were odd in terms of a flatness about the team, surely it’s on him to have them pumped up for a relegation 6 pointer and the drop off in quality comment, whilst true isn’t great man management either.

How can it be described as competitive when there's a team 15 points clear at the top and will win the title at a canter?

It's more like an uncompetitive farce.

Yes but if you ignore the massive gulf between top and second and the massive gulf between the bottom two and the rest, some of those middle clubs with nothing to play for are quite competitive.

Worst ever abusive tirade I have heard in 50+ years of following Clyde. Should have been lifted and rightly called out by actual decent people.

Get a grip of yourself, what exactly was said that upset you so much?

From what I heard something along the lines of ‘f**k off the lot of you, f**k off to whatever clubs will take you, shower of useless c***s’.

Hard to disagree with much of that tbh. As I’ve said not very productive and not very conducive to a nice wee environment but can’t understand why a few home truths have rattled some who are happy to quietly support us down the toilet.

On to the game, aye, a bunch of shitebags. I almost don't blame King for chucking it. He's being played out of position in a situation where we need to win every game. It's almost like it’s set up to make him a scapegoat. We have a perfectly good left back sitting on the bench, and King is much better in an attacking role. It's absolutely mad that McCall has been taken over by the Clyde Fullback Madness.

McGinn was on at left back and he had been moved forward into an attacking role by the time he gave up and started leathering the ball anywhere. Couldn’t deliver a corner past the first man on several occasions either. We don’t need guys with absolutely no stomach for the fight and he was an embarrassment in the second half last night. Granted not the only one.

It was truly joyous compared to experiencing the same in the five minutes before, only with the foaming-mouthed mewlings of that specky boy soundtracking it.

It kicked off when, during a lull in play, the aforementioned embarked on a good twenty to thirty second tirade, shouting essentially the same thing paraphrased with different swear words and insults. If, as you say, these players will be away at the first opportunity, what good will it do anyone to make them even less arsed by constantly berating them? Would you be more inclined to try harder for a cause you don't care all that much about if you were being bollocked constantly? We all know from experience that things turning toxic rarely ends well, and what we've got at present - manager and players - are all that we can call upon to turn this shitshow around; we can't change anything else now. It's clear that the players' confidence is extremely fragile and that it evaporates the moment something goes against them in a game, and getting on their back as some are is not conducive to any manner of remotely positive outcome in May.

I think most of us experience frustration at games and have the odd outburst, but that pish definitely crossed the line and then some. Nobody celebrated any of that tonight, but thankfully the majority of rational folk seem to understand the very basic reality that either encouraging the team or simply holding your tongue are far better options than slamming a bunch of guys who are not going to magically get any better off the back of being constantly bodied.

If you think there is going to be a positive outcome in May then I think you are in for a big disappointment. We have completely shat our pants in 3 must win matches against Elgin, Stranraer and Forfar. The latter 2 in particular are far worse sides than EK. Barring a miracle we are done for now.

Whilst I agree berating the players isn’t particularly constructive they more than deserve it for that performance and even worse throwing in the towel at 2-0. I don’t really care if hearing some boy having a melt down upsets them because their shite half arsed performances deserve it.

If, as I suspect is the case, this is being said in defence of the three absolute dullards near the centre of the stand who were boring dozens of folk around them to death with their constant stream of vitriolic bile, then I can only laugh. Not bellowing at players and repetitively calling them everything under the sun for 90 minutes doesn't make reasonable fans "happy clappers", as they were informed by many around them, several of whom they meekly tried to square up to. Thankfully we were allowed to see out the final ten minutes or so in relative peace as they finally shut the f**k up for fear of a leathering.

Aye, thank goodness you got to see out the last 10 minutes of heartless tripe in peace because the dissenters, just like the players, had chucked it.

For what’s it’s worth I did think the shouts were a bit excessive but it was hardly a constant stream of vitriolic bile. Telling fellow fans to f**k off and not come back in defence of a bunch of gutless charlatans who will be off out the door at the first opportunity is hardly the way forward though.

Plenty of embarrassing ‘Haud me back’ type aggression on both sides of the spat but if you pay your money you are entitled to your opinion. Just as the ‘we know how bad it is but give us peace’ gang are entitled to slip off quietly and celebrate the fact that we put Forfar under pressure for 10 minutes.

That was criminal from King in the last 10 minutes had blatantly given up. Bunch of cowards the lot of them.

As much as Ross Lyon is absolute dogshit he never hides or chucks it. Dreadful attitude from King, not what you need when you’re in the trenches.

  15. An absolutely gutless, chicken shit performance with several players clearly not giving a f**k by the end. This is becoming a habit in big games that we just shite it and why we will no doubt be in the lowland league next season.

If you were more raging at someone calling the players out for being a shower of c***s than you were about the product on the field and state of the club then it says a lot. Pathetic little happy clapping snakes wanting us to quietly slink off to oblivion without making a fuss.

At least we’ll get to see Clyde back at broadwood soon enough (as the away team).

f**k Jim Duffy and Gordon Thomson!

Cameron on instead of McGinn when King was clearly struggling at left back and needing moved up one was genuinely mind blowing.

I thought King was fine at left back, won some good tackles and used the ball well, a massive upgrade on Lyon. Was still baffled McGinn didn’t come on at that point right enough. Cameron was honking as expected.
