  1. Salmond cutting a fairly forlorn figure on BBC just now - I have some sympathy for his argument that a List vote for the SNP is by and large a wasted vote, but couldn't even consider voting for a cabal of backwards looking politicians headed by Mr. Sleepy Cuddles.
  2. Still got my signed Greatest Hits CD - with a thank you message from his mum.
  3. Seems to have been a fair bit of tactical voting on the Yoon side in the Constituency votes so far, I'm hoping that'll be replicated tomorrow in the List vote and we'll see a strong Green showing.
  4. Doesn't really bother me , there ain't a diddy team in the land would've done different.
  5. I quite liked Hartley he really should have grown Dick Dastardly handlebars for when he played us.
  6. I agree Hartley's dismissal had more effect on the game than Main, who IIRC was always pretty erratic.
  7. Anecdotal only, but I've voted SNP (Constituency) and Green (List) on the past two Holyrood elections which family & friends have always considered a bit geeky but I think a few more will be splitting their votes this way on Thursday.
  8. As the old joke goes - experienced MP says to new MP "That's the opposition in front of you, your enemies are behind you".
  9. Yeah, a miniscule sector of the economy which was falsely portrayed as being largely a "father & son" industry and provided a lot of the emotional heft of the Brexit argument 5 years ago, they were never going to be a priority group once Brexit had been achieved and that it's taken them the best part of 5 years to realize this produces a mixture of pity & schadenfreude in onlookers like myself.
  10. Am I alone in thinking that with "Brexit completed and Covid defeated" BJ might choose to resign this summer to pick up a few lucrative directorships, a book deal & the £100k a pop after dinner speeches leaving the Tories to pick a new leader for the Party Conference?
  11. Go with the flow on this one, I'd start Quaner and give him 50 mins or so and if possible give Brophy some game time, still going for 7th and in the Cup S/F - one in the eye for all the Eeyore's in our support. Come on all ye Accies - one of you must have an opinion.
  12. As it's fairly clear Boris did try to secure payment from Brownlow for the renovations, I wonder how "they're" going to spin him out of this. Oh and three cheers for Lord Brownlow for helping out the underprivileged ex-Eton alumni Johnson.
  13. FFS - You'd think after Epstein he'd choose his friends more carefully... Prince Andrew goes into business with banker accused of sexual harassment | Metro News
  14. I watched Thérèse Coffey defending BJ on Breakfast TV this morning, she sounded far from convinced/convincing - if that's the best the Tories can do then BJs days of invincibility might be coming to an end - I've jinxed it now haven't I?
  15. A draw for Ayr would leave them on 29pts with a GD of -6 Morton win - Arbroath 29pts GD -7 (at best) Draw leaves Morton on 29 pts with GD of -11 Morton lose to Arbroath and they're a point behind Ayr. 7 Arbroath 26 -6 29 8 Ayr 26 -6 28 9 Morton 26 -11 28
  16. Scottish Tory leader urges transparency amid lobbying row | Evening Standard Like I said, barely a smack on the wrist... ****************** Actually another Tory junior minister Johnny Mercer resigned/was fired during the week - opinions vary. Johnny Mercer: Tory MP resigns as defence minister - BBC News
  17. Although the criticism was mild it is the first hint of criticism from someone "half inside" the tent.
  18. The man from the band that inspired Blitzkreig Bop by The Ramones. Farewell Les there will never be another S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night - RIP.
  19. Would the English Police want the OF down south?
