  1. Phillip Schofield to return to TV 16 months after quitting This Morning over affair | Phillip Schofield | The Guardian Any other candidates to join the "foolish but not criminal" Phil on Nonce Island?
  2. What surprises me is why The City bet against Truss/Kwarteng in 2022, their policies seemed to me to have been designed to impress the City Wunderkids who backed against them. For an olde lefty like me it's just another example of the folly of a system where speculators are paid fortunes (mainly from our pension funds) to conspire against the interests of the 99%.
  3. As you say better to make a decision and defend it than to leave themselves open to charges of indecision. For me the essential issue is that even a mediocre SNP (and they've been very mediocre over the last 3/4 years) offers more to the Scottish people than Starmer, Murray and the Branch Office.
  4. Wordle 1,192 4/6 5 yellows to 5 greens!
  5. Wonder what his P&B alias is...
  6. The test kits I had all passed their Use By Date in April so I binned them. Are people using out of date kits?
  7. It's not who you know, it's who you blow....
  8. @Arch Stanton Further to what we talked about last week - Dynamic Pricing for OF fans ( Fuck 'em) wanting to attend Saints games at GHR I see Valencia are intending to introduce DP for their home games!
  9. The Tory Party have been the nasty party ever since Mrs. T forced out the One Nation Tories - they're all nasty nowadays, all endorsing nasty policies even the more polished ones (like Jenrick) let their guards down sometimes.
  10. "As soon as the 17 dates sold out Noel and Liam said they wanted to put on more concerts. "They will announce two more Wembley shows on Friday - and are hoping to work out dates for even more shows. "They were stunned by the demand for tickets and want to give back to their fans as much as they can."
  11. Sideways pish leading to a desperate punt upfield then, but congrats for not panicking and going for one of The Usual Suspets.
  12. The lady who was Kate Bush before Kate Bush was Kate Bush!
  13. The Grauniad seems to be drip-feeding these articles, are there any more to come? I'm increasingly in the "not beyond all reasonable doubt" category and await the day she turns up in the Compo Faces thread.
  14. I think Tommy thinks that the groups mentioned are socially conservative and could give him a veneer of credibility but I would be amazed if he can attract more than a few dozen new supporters from these groups. As I said I can't see them being welcomed by the bulk of his support (and they can be very bulky).
  15. I see our Tommeh is trying to raise plans for an "anti-Islam Alliance" again appealing to Sikhs, Jews, Hindus again. Is he serious, what's in it for the groups he's trying to woo and how will it go down with his main audience, many pictured over the last 20 or so pages again. Looking forward to a splash of colour in the next set of riots.
  16. The last survivor on my 2017/18 Championship Winners Mug to go - time to shed a manly tear or two.
  17. Heather Mills - Mrs. Mcartney II - Shurely Nott?
  18. I didn't watch the game after seeing the score and I was surprised after reading some of the comments in this thread to see Balcombe named in the BBC Team of the Week.
  19. Agree with the general Saints view that the start to the season has been typical for sides of our stature in Europe, glad to have beaten Valur and not have to bin all memories of our European experience. I feel the results before international breaks set mood for a good period beyond the immediate fortnight - my favourite being the 1-0 with that Stephen McGinn goal and the 4 (or was it 40) defenders on the line.
  20. Is that not a feature of where we are in the pyramid, our current side is far better than the ones say Mallan & Morgan broke into - I'd say what upsets me more is that Sutherland is still in that 200/300k price range - it should be more as we're not uberdiddies any more.
  21. The shareholders are largely institutions including pension funds, I reckon Labour would be reluctant to take another measure that would be presented in the Tory press as "robbing pensioners". What Labour could do is make the existing pension system less of a grift for City wideboys.
  22. I predict the tour will be a massive success FWIW I don't think there is a another band capable of matching (maybe even exceeding) the jaded debauchery of the Stones. Far less risk of the band imploding on a tour with Da Brudders being Limo'd in and out separately than going into the studio to record new material too.
