  1. Just and no more.... Scrub that we could still finish 11th and lose the play-off!
  2. Quite a bit of Syd stuff but nothing from the post Waters era yet - while I kinda like the two Gilmour-era elpees they're a bit "decaff" to me...
  3. Just finished my 4 days at work - have I missed the current Naga Munchetty/Union Jack row or is it tucked away in some other thread? Surely the response is way OTT especially Conservative MP Lia Nici's snide response to "love the flag or move to another country".
  4. It's hard to see why that was relegated to the B side of one of their post-Syd singles and the Relics album - an absolutely stunning track. Just checked - Syd was still officially in the band and wrote the A-side, Apples and Oranges, but was already in his zoned-out phase.
  5. In no particular order Paintbox Comfortably Numb (best guitar solo ever?) Echoes (Gotta go for a whole of a side track) Wish You Were Here Fat Old Sun (best guitar solo ever?)
  6. Yup, and it looks like Boris will come out of it smelling of roses due to his vaccines gamble - whooodathunk that 3 months ago?
  7. Long enough to know we have to call on all our dead rock stars followers... The Doors. Love Street - YouTube
  8. Don't worry cos as Bob said Every Little Thing Is Gonna Be Allright...
  9. Coming from you that's a remarkably optimistic prediction.
  10. Sounds like a good title for a song - bit retro with a crazy EuroDiscoBeat...
  11. Whatever happened to Teale, he was a definite improvement on Craig and if Kenny McLean had not been sold on the last day of the Jan 2015 transfer window who knows? He kept us within touching distance of Well & County who were our fellow strugglers that season until a couple of heavy defeats against them in H2H matches just prior to the split scuppered his chances of getting to rebuild in the Championship. I still felt he would get another gig somewhere but it just hasn't turned out that way for him. It seems to be the way now that most clubs give new managers less than 2 seasons (length of their initial contract?) nowadays. Goodwin just coming up to 2 seasons with us is now in the top half of long serving managers. Obviously this is in poor taste but I reckon the recent restart of the roundabout is a sign that the worst of Covid is past and JG will move further up the long servers list before next season starts.

    Genesis songs

Saw them on the ...and Then There Were Three... (Glasgow Apollo) and Abacab (Ingleston) tours - first was better probly because the Apollo was a proper theatre. The band played Musical Box (Glasgow) & Suppers Ready (Ingleston) as well as Cinema Show, Firth of Fifth and I Know What I Like... at both shows, so quite a bit of Gabrial era stuff. Listening to the 2007 reunion tour it was noticeable to me how much more of a "singer" Collins had become which I felt detracted from their best work - up to the 1984 Genesis elpee.
  13. Today's results were kinda what I expected - at least County are still in the frame and will have everything to play for next week On paper we have a better team than Hamilton, unfortunately it's not quite as simple as that - COYS!

That's a bit of an outlier... ******************* The Musical Box Burning Rope Ripples The Cinema Show Get 'em Out By Friday **************** As an aside Watcher of the Skies from Foxtrot was inspired by Arthur C. Clarke's novel Childhood's End and also inspired tracks by other Prog bands like Pink Floyd and Van Der Graf Generator.
  15. Any "old lags" appointed to manage a Championship team at this stage of the season will have a combination of success and failure as part of their CVs. Will be interesting to compare the Morton/Ayr results today and over the rest of the season - I reckon Morton have got the better end of the deals especially if MacPherson/Millen have the same hunger as 15 years ago, whereas Hopkin's managerial record seems less impressive especially with his success at Livi now coming with the caveat of how much was due to Martindale.
  16. Even bolder to think Boris will hold onto any view, as I said his career has hardly been a model of consistency...
