  1. Finally fucking beat that Electric gym leader, absolute whore of a woman. Evolved my Roggenrola and tympole and had my Oshawatt at like level 28(it's second stage just can't mind the name). Took a while but got through, glad to have finally done it.

Just as I'm leaving that god forsaken city,

Cheren stops me. Asshole! Cleaned him out.

Then the fucking p***k of a Champion stops

    us.

Can I not leave the stupid city??!?

Cheren does my nut in, he hasn't cone close to beating me, but at one point he gets me whilst I took a wrong turn On the way to a pokemon centre, I had 2 fucking pokemon. Mind you the other ones worse, she is so shit it's not worth fighting her half the time.

  2. Its fine, I have both  finally made it to the last gym, jesus the first 2 trainers were hard enough never mind the leader, bit of training is going to be needed me thinks. Also I won't reveal anything, but the plot is actually pretty good and if it goes the way I think it will, it's certainly different. I have played for 20 hours so by my reckoning I still have another good 10 or so to finish the story never mind the whole thing.

  3. Just went into Wellspring Cave to train up tynpole and saw the dust things and went into one and came across a Drilbur, and caught it. Took about two minutes tongue.gif It is

    only level 10 though.

Aye well mine is now an excadrill :P thanks to the lucky egg and ground moves being super effective on rock types. So replace my boldore with excadrill and that's my team, but drilbur is defo worth training up, so stick with it.

  4. And there it is, my nice newly caught Drilbur, only took me half an hour of searching, only needs to go up 1 level and it becomes an Excadrill, or I wait 2 for it to learn Earthquake 3 levels earlier, which I will probably do. Anybody with an Excadrill reckommend which moves are best, I was thinking Earthquake, Dig, Slash and one of metal claw/rock slide.

Or having looked at it, I dont really need 2 ground moves so take either Dig or

Earthquake out, what do people think??

Edit - just realised my drilbur doesnt know metal claw, so above question still applies

    Do I go for -

    Slash

    Rock slide

    Earthquake/ dig

    X-sicissor/ shadow claw

  5. I assume thats Duckletts evolved for???

Right got 6 badges so far, my team is going well, finally evolved the 3 I wanted to, so here it is.

    Emboar - lv. 36

    Zebstrika - lv. 37

    Seismitoad - lv. 37

    Cofagrigus - lv. 35

Pansage - lv. 34 (probably about to evolve him, just need to see what other moves he can learn, as once he evolves he wont learn them)

    Boldore - lv. 33

Right now I am desperately trying to catch myself a drilbur, cause I reckon in its evolved form, Excadrill, it is a much better option than Boldore, since it is so resistant to things and has a much wider moveset, which includes Dig, which I love, problem is catching one, casue you have to watch until they make a move, unlike just wandering around, really frustraing.

  6. I'm in Nimbasa atm. Can't beat the Gym leader, stupid Emolgas. Electric and flying? f**k off. I don't have any rock moves!! mad.gif

 of all things it was my palpitoad that defeated he, since electric moves don affect it, plus try don't gave great health and were soon done for, that and my boldore.

  7. No-one else like Herdier/Lillipup as a Pokemon? I know it's a normal type but it's a pretty effective sweeper.

I have never used normal pokemon so no, I don't use it, but having cone up against herdier at about lv 28, they are a right b*****d to defeat, so I would imagine they are fairly reasonalble. Currently working with thus team.

    Pignite - lv 33

    Zebrasrika - lv 30

    Palpitoad - lv 30

    Pansage - lv 29

    Yamask - lv 29

    Boldore - lv 29

Going well took a bit if levelling up to defeat clay, but got by him eventually. Going to wait until pansage is about lv 34, so it has learnt acrobatics and grass knot, then use the leaf stone. Also a slight problem with my yamask is it's moveset is limited, only knows ghost moves so far. Won't be playing it too much tomorrow, so will probably crack on with it on Tuesday.

  8. I've done that from when gender was introduced (Gen II?). Although more recently I've been okay about it. I still want all the ones who look well 'ard and stuff male, but the prancing gay ones I choose as female - my Meganium in HG for example. I have a female Munna in White cause it looks more feminine than masculine.

Forehead - Here's a LINK to the event that's on today.

 Fair enouhg, doesn't bother me, just sort of happened.

  9. Yeah I was levelling up Panpour but then when I realise Tympole ends up Water/Ground I got rid of it.

Aye, problem with choosing my Tepig, now a Pignite as a starter is that you get a Pansage, which isnt great by any stretch of the imagination and I have encountered absolutely no grass pokemon to replace it, so I ma having to persist with it. On the plus side, its very difficult to find a fire pokemon thats any good until the end, hence why I always chose fire to start with.

  10. Still not had the chance to get proper into this but I'm enjoying it so far, currently just levelling up my Servine and Tynpole and looking to catch another before taking on the 2nd gym leader. I usually don't bother with more than three Pokemon until I get properly out of the starting areas, usually after the 3rd gym or so.

Tympole's pretty good actually once it gets better, mine just evolved into Palpitoad, now all I need to do is get Roggenrola up 2 levles and my Blitzle to 27, where it evolves. Also caught my Yamask, so will try and get that up to speed, shame its move set isnt the best, but it can learn a shit load of TM's so I will just have to find teh right balance.

  11. Currently just levelling up a bit for the 4th gym, my pokemon are where I would want them to be, having had a quick peek at Bulbapedia, the majority of my pokemon evolve at around the 25th level. I will probably be replacing my Throh with a Yamask fairly soon, when I can be arsed catching one. Also I am still finding it rather frustrating seeing a new poemon and not having a clue what type it is and what moves it may know.

    Current team -

    Pignite - lv 26

    Roggenrola - lv 22

    Blitzle - lv 23

    Tympole - lv 24

    Pansage - lv 21

Throh - lv 23 (soon to be a yamask)

Really looking to replace my Pansage as well, but havent even found a half decent grass pokemon yet, so I will just have to persevere, probably evolve it with a leaf stone, after it learns a new more powerful grass move.

Problem I have is, in the past my teams have always included a, Fire, Water, Ice, Dragon and 2 others, so I may have to change my approach

  12. Blitzle is a fantastic wee pokemon, not the best defensively, but get it up to about level 18 and not only does it have a decent set if electrical moves and quick attack, it also learns fire charge, how handy.

  13. After my couple of hours in the car, I am at te stage of just levelling up a little before the 2nd gym. Current team has a nice blend of types.

Tepid - lv 15, fire charge is a crackin little move

    Pansage - lv 14

    Roggenrola - lv 14

    Lillipup - lv 12

    Blitzle - lv 11

    Purrlpoin - lv 10

I am looking to evolve tepig and raise re leek of my bitzele up a couple of levels, will defo be getting rid of purrloin for a water pokemon as soon as I find one.

    Lillipup - lv 12

  14. Yah it's arrived and I have two 50 minute to Perth in an hour so I shall tattle through some if it then, I think I will be choosing the fire starter, I always do, due to there always being a lack of fire pokemon until nearer te end.

  15. Ordered mine via Prime as well, and it hasn't arrived. I'm remaining optimistic it might arrive by courier, but most games etc I ordered through Amazon are delivered by the postie. b*****ds.

I know mine has says its due tomorrow, but our posties not been yet and I still have hope that he may be carrying a nice brown cardboard package with my name on it.

EDIT - :( oh well should get here tomorrow.

  16. It was one of the first times I'd ever drank, so I was still finding my bearings on what I could and couldn't handle, I done it in around 2 hours and the rest of the right was spent spewing out my tent whilst naked in the pishing rain.

    I don't deserve respect. sad.gif

 Oh dear, that shocking. However I doff my cap to you for actually drinking the vodka in the firs place, vile stuff.

  17. She got me to do six letters games, two numbers games and three conundrums.

For the letters games I got an eight-letter word, three seven-letter words and two six-letter words. I got one of the numbers games and was two away on the other, and I only got one of the three conundrums.

She didn't even ask any questions or anything though, which surprised me. I thought they would have needed to check whether you would be "TV friendly", and weren't going to be a complete bore. But then again, some of the contestants are a bit like that I suppose. They asked for a recent photo with the application form, so I suppose they could rule out people who look rapey.

They also asked for your hobbies, and then asked if you did any "special interest" which you felt were exciting or entertaining. I couldn't think of anything, and so I put that I was a member of the Scotland supporters club and attend Scotland home matches as well as the away ones I can afford. Given that I got through, their definition of "exciting or unusual" is clearly quite broad.

They normally do their auditions in person at a hotel, but they phoned me yesterday to say that they haven't been up to Glasgow and Edinburgh for a while, and they were happy to do it over the phone.

I actually wonder how my fiancee will respond to the fact that I am getting to meet Rachel. I have told her before that I was a bit of a fan, and she wasn't happy. :P

Good luck with that, I am o.k at shouting words at the t.v and usually get the numbers where ever possible, but I would crack under the pressure.

    Rachel

  18. We have lost the last two games by default because we didn't have five players. We are a bit of a shambles of a team, to be honest. Exciting games though as we score a lot, but are woeful in defence.

 Fair play to you, we are awul, we leak goals like nobodies buisness, only a couple of weeks a go we lost 28-2, admittedly we gave up, oh aye and we dont score, pretty sure we are the bottom team as well, shame cause 3 or 4 of us with players of a similar calibre could have made a team nearer the top, shame its the other 4 or 5 that let us down.
