I'm the same, but I have separated the boxes into generations and then roughly every 50, so I want to have every pokemon filled so I can just look through the boxes and they'll be full, completely.
my boxes are a mess, takes me ages to find anything I want on GTS trading, think I have 10 full boxes, I only really care about getting teh dex complete, if I manage that I will be mightily pleased, could take a while though. Thanks to GTS though I am uo to about 380 caught, with about 10 or so I can evolve further, just levelled up to an Aggron and a Manetrik. 
Possibly my favourite. Oh and I cam so colse to getting my Tornados, on negotiations a guy brought it up with a Thundurus and a Gouron, unfortunately I had nothing he wanted.

I could never bring myself to trade away any Pokémon I caught, except perhaps if it were unbreedable and for a version exclusive swap. Always makes sense to trade a bred one.
TBH it depends with me, I have traded away things like Braviary's and Dragonites recently, which I caught, but I only ever used them briefly and neither were levelled up at all.

I have Black as well but obviously I'm not high on the pokedex completion and stuff yet though as I've only just beaten the 8th gym leader.
I stupidly went onto the trade thing andtraded an Emboar for a Tropius (only because Ihave a high level Victini as a fire pokemon and no need for 2) thinking it was the last evolution
of the grass starter, only to find out it's a
pokemon from Generation 4

I just got a landarus in a trade for my dragonite, problem is I still don't hav tornodus.
Also got a raiku which was pleasing.

My Pokedex is coming on nicely. I think the only families I have to evolve are Deino / Zwelious / Hydregion and Larvesta / Volcarona. I have a couple to level up through happiness and trading and then I think that's it for what is available in Black.
I have Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, Reshiram and Kyurem of the Legendary Pokemon.

If it's actual japanese version then it might change to Zoroark when it evolves. That happened to a Deino of mine, it was called "Monozu" which is the Japanese name which isn't characters. But when it evolved it's name went to Zweilous.
Lets hope so, anyway it got 11000exp in 1 go when I beat a Golduck after switching it out.
EDIT - low and behold it has, thank f**k.

Yeah, I went on and traded my ditto for someone else's it's location was Japan for the Masuto method thing, but it was mostly to increase breeding speed/chance.
Ahh its fine I got one, also I have managed to trade away a recently caught Timburr for a zoroa, problem is it has a stupid Japanese name.

There was a thing about doing it to show off your legendaries, but I think it was for a level 9 Zekrom. All I've ever seen is Reshiram being sought after.
It is just to piss off people. They should just ban legendaries from the GTS, it would mean that it actually works, both in terms of successful trades and servers not being overloaded with c***s.
That is so cuntish, there are decent people on it, for instance, I have traded 2 tepigs, for the other starters and a throh for a sawk, so there are people playing properly.

This may seem a stupid question, but how are you meant to have a lv. 9 or under legendary? They dont breed do they.

Cranidos, nope that and omanyte are the 2 I haven't gotten.
Breeding is doing my nut it, ditto and emboar won't evolve albeit with a rate of 20%

Edited to remove pokemon. Is it just me or are the people who ask for a lv. 100 zekrom for a snivy retarded, cause there's always 1 reasonable person who ony wants a twig in return, or at least that's what I found.
