  1. Didn`t realise I had that pic until a couple of weeks ago
  2. Going by the Hearts in (capital) and the Callum reference that would suggest Callumn Morrison who has been out on loan regularly?
  3. Remember that strip well as it was so unusual for us. Yellow top and light blue shorts. Don`t remember the exact year but I seem to remember Joe MacCallan wearing it which would put it about 77-79.
  4. My avatar shows Johnny Graham wearing it scoring against QOS in 7-5 game. Had a similar strip in the mid 70`s.
  5. Memory playing tricks, Jim Robinson between Setterington and Cattenach not Laurie as I said previously.
  6. Also Laurie between Setterington and Cattenach.
  7. Looks like Mervyn Jones next to McMillan? Beckett next to Shirra.
  8. Too heavy for him...he`s still on tin metal and hoping to graduate up to aluminium.
  9. Away game at Perth. Talked out of resigning and limped on for a few more games.
  10. That was a memorable goal..more especially because the skills shown defied the "gluepot" state of the pitch!!! That was a truly memorable goal, made even more special as the skills involved defied the "gluepot" of a pitch.
  11. Bainsfordbairn will put you straight on that Just sticking up for someone I worked with and respected for the amount of work he and Chipper put in to getting us to and keeping us in the top League. I`ve already stated everyone is entitled to their opinion and I`m not blind to mistakes that were made (it`s inevitable) but when I read stuff I know to be untrue or misrepresented, I`m purely having my say on it.
  12. I worked with Tam McManus and he thought Yogi was great and still does.
  13. Aye, George always did what he was told by the wife.
  14. There`s no point in comparing Apples with pears. Scally wasn`t the classiest but he would give you everything and what was needed at the time. Russell brought a few players to the Club on trial and some were complete mince. You just never heard about them. Anyway, you win, you`ve worn me out, Grangemouth Bairn was right "bail out now, you`ll never win"
  15. He wasn`t good enough quite simply. Played out his skin in a couple of world cup games. Teams should have been queuing up for him then??
  16. I know what he did after he went back to Austria but I`m trying to say to you he wasn`t interested while he was here. Nothing to do with being a good manager, Alex Ferguson would have booted him after the first day!! I don`t deny he was a decent player but he thought he was bigger than the club. Something you don`t find out until they are here for a week or two.
  17. Have you checked Theobold`s playing record after he left us???
  18. Stokes was a great "find" but was always going to be temporary. Finnigan was a similar prospect at Newcastle but suffered from too many injuries to have the same effect. The problem is trying to tempt quality to the Club on a permanent basis. It`s always harder for a provincial Club like Falkirk (there`s always a percentage that won`t work out for you) but I think Hughes done a good job overall and the fact we had so many seasons in the top league proves that.
  19. Who were the other Managers that got the best out of him??? Certainly no one in Scotland..he went to Hamilton on loan and got 3 games!! If you look at his record all his football has been played in Austria. Any time he ventured out of Austria he didn`t get games. I honestly don`t know why he came at all, he was aloof and disinterested.
