Honestly don't know. He's still there, because I walked past him in the corridor recently but I haven't paid any attention to his absence. Though checking back on the last couple of closed-door games I notice that Luke Holt got gametime and he didn't, so an injury seems likely.

I refer you to the answer above.😉

    He did, aye.

Mind their keeper getting pelters when he was at the other end.

There was a photo going about with the goalie on the deck, and Higginbotham turning away happily after scoring, but unfortunately it got ruled out for offside. I got my mug in the photo among the celebrating fans which was a nice memento of a smashing away day.

Wouldn`t be this one was it??

Very much off topic - was looking at the current SPFL grounds, and was trying to think of what ones we have yet to play at. Can’t recall us ever playing at Borough Briggs (Elgin) or New Central Park (Kelty) - could be wrong though. Any others? Annan perhaps?

Played at Annan in the Semi- final of the Ramsden`s Cup in 2011-12.

Up in the granite city with a few die hard bairns tonight who have spent most of their working life’s up here. Last time I stayed for a game up here, we won and a certain right back had the game of his life as such a young age.

It wouldn`t be this game & this player would It??

Great fun when we have the ball, less so when we have to defend!

    Every game a 6-4.

I`ll take that, seen a few of them over the years. I remember one season under Billy Lamont we lost 4-6 to Forfar at Brockville then a fortnight later won 6-4 against Hamilton. The Hamilton game might have been Baptie`s debut for us if I remember correctly. He certainly scored one of the goals. Entertaining stuff.

Was the other way around I think with Flynn scoring.

I had a look on youtube at the soccer am showboats listed around 03.04.10 but no joy. Not convinced the dates in the titles actually tie up with the videos unfortunately.

it was a testament to his skill given the state of the pitch!!

There's definitely a goalscorer in there he just doesn't work hard enough for the team.

Hard to argue with that assessment.  I remember another player (Andy Thomson)who we brought to the club (at the end of his career) who had the same attributes. The difference with him and Keena was he played in a decent side and got plenty of service.

Time for a new avatar methinks. (I'm ashamed to admit that I always thought that your avatar was Wilson Hoggan, not Johnny Graham)

😂😂 Not a million miles away from a "selfie" (hair a bit greyer maybe)🤔

Johnny G & Wilson Hoggan both quality players but Johnny probably my all time favourite in the Navy Blue.

Yeh it could definitely have been better worded.

Not sure the situation with our social media to be honest, whether we rely on volunteers or not, but the content is poor. The website is rarely updated and the match reports are a bit amateurish. I just think in this day and age your business media profile is hugely important.

Ours feels more like a second thought than a concerted effort to engage with fans and provide content.

If they were talking about a young guy getting some game time from Elgin I could understand it. However, it`s an experienced player we just gave a 2 year deal to. Thanking Elgin for taking him off our hands for a few months (while understandable) is a an embarrassment. Agree totally regarding the state of our media at the moment. "Bainsfordbairn" will confirm that as I chew his ear off constantly about it!! 😂

Edited to add that I`m not suggesting "Bainsfordbairn" is in any way part of the problem, far from it, very efficient at what he does. (Hope that keeps the lawyers off my back)🤞😂

Nothing wrong with thanking them. I'd thank any club profusely that is willing to take him for any length of time no matter how long or short.  It's a miracle anyone is interested.

It`s the "thanks for your co-operation in making this move possible" I`m not getting. That would be what I expected to read if it was Dowds returning from Arbroath. "Co-operation" would suggest that you were keen to get him back?? I`m going to assume they meant the original loan move to Elgin and it`s just a poorly worded statement.

All good saying Rennie and before him Sheerin, have final say on signings it's that clown Holt that is scouting players for them to choose from,,, if that is all Rennie has to choose from in January does he stick or twist thinking they can't be any worse surely, and we all know how that ends up with Holt drawing up the shortlist!

That`s the part that`s been worrying me. I`d like to think Rennie and Miller will have players in mind that they have sourced. Anything Holt comes up with will be added to that for them to accept or reject accordingly.🤞

The QOS was a brilliant game, games like that would get the fans back.

I think a big contingent of fans were ready to walk out after watching us go 3-0 down in the first 20 odd minutes!! We come back from the dead and score 3 goals in the 10 mins before halftime and another 4 in the first 20 mins of the second half!! From 3-0 down, we were 7-3 up with 20 mins to go. Sadly we took our foot off the pedal and lost 2 late goals. You would think scoring 5 goals away from home should win you the game....not that one!!!😉

I will raise you a brilliant game
    Falkirk 6 - QOS 3 in December 1963 I think

Is that the 7-5 game against QOS? If so, that was in 1969. One of the best games ever. My avatar is Johnny Graham scoring the 5th in that game.

December 63 was the 7-3 against Clyde with Hugh Maxwell scoring all 7 goals

I’m not so sure about this……

Could you give me examples of both aspects please?

(Genuine request, not just trying to be a smart**se).

Not a problem, several of the players we brought up from England when he was here as assistant were sourced through his contacts down south.

I was working at the Club during that period which is why I know that.

We also got tips on players after he left (during Pressley`s time)and was watching games down south. Vaulks is an example of that. He saw him playing for Tranmere in a reserve match and tipped us off.

Great pals with Stuart Pearce among others.

What length of contract is Murray on with you guys? I think he has done a decent job at Airdrie, he's well and truly had our number over the past couple of years if that counts for anything, and given some of the other names quoted, I would not be at all against Falkirk at least asking him if he has any interest in it. In fact, of the candidates that could be termed "realistic", I'd have him down as the best option.

He certainly has had the better of things against us since we came down but doesn`t look like he has had the type of record against the rest that would inspire confidence.

Been there since 2018 and hasn`t taken them up...lost 45 games in the process!!

It`s certainly all about opinions but not for me thanks.
