  1. Shaun Rooney was quite good yesterday. He's been better each time I've seen him.
  2. Never forgave him for the way he coasted through the first half of a relegation season. He knew he was getting his move and just kept himself safe until the window opened.
  3. He knew about the Warren story a week before it broke, he's linked us with a young left-back released by Aberdeen and stated that Jim McAlister will appear as a trialist pre-season. It all sounds plausible.
  4. Seems a very weak rumour, but if there is an opportunity to do so, we should be looking to replace Warren. He finished the season strongly but that was off the back of at least 2 years of decline, poor form and injury.
  5. Surprised to see Sons complaining about Aitken's tactics. I thought you were really well organised and cruising towards a win on penalties until Froxy failed to track his man. And i don't buy the excuse that he was tired cos of Cyprus - he only had to play for 20 minutes and does he ever track his full-back? We're full-time, half our team's on Premiership wages but the 3 games we've played against each other have been tight as f**k. Aitken's overachieving. I'd have him over Robbo tomorrow.
  6. I'm feeling a fair dose of rage after watching Scotland Tonight. Smith and McPherson were absolutely shameless as they plunged the depths of poor argument to defend the indefensible and preserve the status quo. They typify the way in which the media and the administrators cannot conceive of a Scottish game that isn't configured to serve the needs the Old Firm and have a completely different idea about what the good of Scottish football means to the vast majority of those that follow it. Fair play to all those SFL clubs and fans who have refused to take this crap. If SPL2 comes to pass then i know where I'll be watching my football next season.
  7. SFL clubs hear proposal for top tier of 14 clubs Lame attempt to buy off a few ambitious 1st Division clubs. Surely can't have a serious effect on the outcome of the vote.
  8. There's also no need for SFL clubs to feel tempted by such an offer. If Rangers go to the 3rd then serious league reconstruction & general leveling out of power and finance distribution are more likely to stay at the top of the agenda. Shoehorning Rangers back into the SPL as quickly as possible does nothing for the long term interests of the vast majority of SFL clubs - hence the pathetic package of lies and threats being put to them.
