  1. That was the broken metatarsal - now there's chat about an achilles injury.
  2. The adult price of £24 is bad enough, but United's policy of charging all kids the full concession rate means a family of 4 paying £72. My kids are under 12 so a standard Championship away day is about £40 for the 4 of us. Not that we needed any further evidence that this established second tier club has a grossly inflated sense of itself.
  3. Absolutely delighted with this. The whole set up was very relaxed. My wee girl spent the first half doing cartwheels on the grassy hill and the second climbing around advertising hoardings. Great to change ends at half-time and not feel the need to stay rooted next to a plastic seat while being gawped at by stewards.
  4. Sounds from the 3 friendlies against Premiership sides that we're not too fussed about having the ball. Robbo has faith in the quality of the defenders and wider adherence to the shape.
  5. Astra got their goal and sat on it. I don't think we ever got to see what they had to offer as an attacking side because they never had to show it. As with PB1994 though, I was in no state to be forming thoughts on how the game was going at the time. Must've seen highlights of the second leg because I barely remember being in Romania.
  6. Yup, he failed to organise a wall for the Astra free-kick that ultimately knocked us out of Europe, though I tend to blame Yogi for chucking him in to that game the day after we signed him.
  7. These are cracking quotes from Jim McInally. Someone should buy him some Kafka.
  8. Vincent played well in our last visit to EEP - looked a class above Chalmers and Trafford that day.
  9. Last spotted at Haringey Borough. He was clearly a very good footballer but, speaking as a philhellene and without any reference to cultural stereotypes, the boy was lazy as f**k.
  10. It was the lowest I've ever felt after a game because it pointed towards successive relegations and potential oblivion. Massive credit to Robbo for the way he's turned it around from there. I was screaming for his head afterwards.
  11. That's a very good description of the boy. It took him a while to get going, and a bit longer for the fans to get those qualities, but in the end I would be sorry to lose him.
  12. After that, I think it's clear that Hamilton would be preferable. Aside from the fact that St. Mirren actually looked a half-decent side, the spirit and support looked strong and I don't think missing out on the last day would knock that out of them.
  13. We're budgeting for no such thing. I doubt there's much between the two respective budgets this year and there certainly won't be next year. Got my tickets for the 2nd leg today. Looks like the main stand is almost full, should be a decent crowd.
  14. When we signed Jappy (for a 5 figure sum!) we went round to his house and got him to come and play football in the park. Still gave him pelters a couple of months later.
  15. Given the size of their gates, Falkirk are best placed to absorb the hit of a season in the third tier. This is a good result for Scottish football.
  16. I went Welsh and Walsh. Didn't realise Walsh was so young so easier to forgive his inconsistency.
  17. County can still chuck this. If they draw with Falkirk and lose to us then United could have a chance to take their lead down to 3 points next Tuesday. It's not done.
  18. We've been playing 4-2-3-1 just to get the best out of him. He plays in the middle of the 3 but comes deep to look for the ball. At his best when he's driving forward into space before releasing a well-timed through ball. He's assisted the majority of our goals over the past 18 months. His range of passing is limited and his shooting is usually pretty poor. All attempts to push him wide or deep in a different system have failed.
  19. I love this stuff but I haven't followed it closely enough over the years to know what's going on. Is sophia Sandy Cromarty / birdog / dougal and is this argument with the fictitious Merkincher just another expression of his/her dramatic genius? Genuinely interested.
  20. Yes, you out-hand-gestured us again. Must've been a great atmosphere for the deaf.
  21. Robbo sacrificed all of his capital at Tynie when he tricked them into taking Mulraney.
