  1. Health? Well it's no secret he's sick - sick of Gerry Adams for a start.
  2. Feel for you - devestating to discover she's been getting kebabed from a bloody hipster for afters. Greek & from Essex? If she went to St Martin's College, someone had best warn Jarvis.
  3. Yet the most recent polls have shown a dramatic rise in support for the Belgian Marxists (the PTB) - the only party standing in all Belgium & the only one promising more centralisation. From only 5% in the 2014 elections, they're now riding at 18.4%, looking set to overtake the Walloon Socialists and Liberals. It's easy to forget that the Flemish nationalist groups - like our own - have been in office regionally & now nationally: they are now the establishment they once fought against, & haven't made a very good job of it. The PTB meanwhile are led by an articulate polyglot with a modified pragmatic message a far cry from the loony left elsewhere in Europe & pushing an agenda of national unity those in Flanders & the Brussels region may decide could be their only realistic bulwark against the splitters. The impact of the Brexit vote & the rise in support for so many differing groups across Europe taking support from previously unlikely sources (FN in France yet PTB in the French speaking part of Belgium & the barking mad Five Star in Italy) demonstrates that people are wanting to lash out against what they perceive as a society where an elite make the world a less secure place for them & their families (socially, politically & economically) & threaten them with worse if they don't agree to it. But for many, the feeling is how can matters possibly get worse - for instance, anyone else remember the days when it was mainly politicians who had the most to fear from being the direct target of terrorist attacks rather than the ordinary citizen? Under those conditions, it's no surprise there is no one political movement predominating, but rather winner takes all for whoever can ride the populist wave in their region the best. The only political certainties there appear to be right now is uncertainly.
  4. Was it true love in a meeting of minds or was it just Djibouti you were after? gets coat
  5. Thanks for that. Shocking waste of chances by the Hobbits in the first half - some looked like straight passbacks to the Yooni goalie, some like lobs at the net because they couldn't be arsed running with it. That equaliser - have watched it three times now & still don't get WTF happened? Has to go down as two points dropped - far too many chances squandered when they should certainly have buried the game in the first half.
  6. I could never trust anyone trying to tell everyone else about healthy eating when like Oliver their face gives the appearence of a permanent state of constipation or trying to pass a really jaggy shite.
  7. You did notice that the screenshot that the attention seeking w**k has posted states that the incident number is from 8th January 2016?
  8. Whatever else may be said about East Kilbride, they have delivered in creating a sustainable club to deliver long term success in one of Scotland's biggest towns after decades of all sorts coming forward with "jam tomorrow" schemes - and that can never be taken away from them. Moreover they helped cement along with Spartans the sort of standards on & off the pitch any non-league club with ambitions of taking on those in the SPFL needs to put in place if they wish to be more than one season wonders in the Lowlands, let alone any other competitions.
  9. Fraid so. She gets around a bit. She also stood in the London Mayor elections - some would argue as a publicity stunt. There wasn't the same array of omnipresent drunken or druggy w**kers looking for an audience that you get in Glasgow & the West of Scotland (esp. Paisley) & every tenth local isn't walking around with slash scars on their faces, so yeah, I think Bradfordians are a decent bunch - in a state of being permanently pissed off, but decent. Unlike up here, it didn't take them fifty years to learn from their mistakes at the ballot box.
  10. Bradford has been problematic for ages but a lot of it is down to distrust between the white English and the Muslim part of town in the centre-east (part of it was downright childishness & petty oneupmanship). More recently the main bother has been between the Asians & Eastern Europeans over the local taxi trade & hotels, but the Galloway fiasco knocked some sense back into them, plus a lot of disillusionment with the City council (who make Glasgow's appear competent & honest) has provided a focus for more unity. They're a decent enough bunch down there, just very "Yorkshire" in temprement (ie.blunt!).
  11. Far from "can't be arsed doing it themselves", she's already on record - in the Daily Mail of all places - as saying that she'll happily do two jobs or clean toilets to make ends meet. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3924012/Single-mother-benefits-admits-defeat-bid-famous.html She made a horrendous "career move" because she was sick of being a deputy headmistress (far from being the only one dropping out of working in education), it's bitten her (& her kids) in the arse & now is paying a big enough price. She may not be the most likeable character, but the pitchfork & torches reaction to her is beyond absurd.
  12. Don't worry, Fruitbat Carter will be round the This Morning studios tomorrow to sort the smarty c**t out again.
  13. There is perhaps a case for finishing as a strong second being better in the long run rather than being promoted. If they return at the first time of asking, at a stroke the incentive for many fans that have drifted in or back - ie. the novelty of a regularly winning Shire - has vanished. Failing to make the play offs but running EK right to the wire will prove the potential is there but that the Lowlands is not as easy as it looks, motivating existing fans & interested observers to dig deeper to support the club (particularly over the ground issue) more over the long term. In many ways, the Shire's misfortune has also provided it with its greatest opportunity - freed from the almost perpetual doom of propping up the national league, they've already proved wrong those who claimed outside of the "protection" of the SPFL they'd go bust before even managing to finish a full season in the Lowlands.
  14. Hopefully you haven't got the version produced by SBL (an alternative name for John Williams Productions). SMG got them to do Taggart box sets some time back & the DVD quality was rank because the discs they were cut to were like something from the Barras - after a few plays completely unusable. They began turning up in the bargain books type shops when HMV etc got wise & refused to stock them after all the complaints they got. For the Mark McManus era, one drinking game is taking a shot every time you see someone that was in a previous story reappearing in a different role. Don't do it on a night where you're back in work the next morning though.
  15. There was warning enough the moment those trailers came on with the usual shyte McAvennie impression that looks more like a bad attempt at one of the Bee Gees. Can only assume Judy Murray felt she had to take part when asked else Watson would get his press mates to run stories it was sour grapes for them taking the piss out of her Andy. Of course, the fat tottie faced fker Watson wants celeb appearences because it reinforces the myth OAE is some sort of Hogmanay institution.
  16. The problem is that if you only send it to those who struggle to afford these things, it becomes a badge of poverty & you will get the morons who put pride before practicality. Never underestimate the wilful stupidity of the working classes - for all of the Sun/Daily Mail headlines about "scroungers", I knew of whole generations that proudly boasted about never claiming dole or income support, no matter how many times it was pointed out to them that their taxes & national insurance stamps from doing every dirty shitty job available around before being thrown on the scrapheap at 50 had paid for them. It was the same carry on when the NHS started & you had muppets in mining communities hell bent on dying from lung conditions ("I'll not take 'andouts, like my father & his before him!") until they saw the boss happily collecting free prescriptions for ailments as a result of his self inflicted fatcuntitus. You only have to look at the fiasco of the Queen & Prince Charles claiming old age pensions they promptly donate by DD to charity anyway, all because they've been privately warned by Whitehall if they don't thousands of pensioners will merrily starve or freeze to death than take "charity". If the "posh" people are getting it as well (esp. Her Majesty & All Her Family - "Gawd bless 'em!") they no longer consider it "beneath" them to take it. Crazy, but there you have it.
  17. One of those it's such a good idea, no one else is doing it. Until now. The Äitiyspakkaus has been on the go since 1938 (since 1948 to all regardless of income). Their infant mortality rate tanked as a result (an important factor in a nation with such a small population), & as it went to the rich as well as to the poor it broke the mindset of the "nanny state" being a bad thing amongst the well to do. I'm glad to see that we're doing it, esp. considering the atrocious way some kids are brought into this world up here or their parents/parent getting duped into spending money they can't afford on expensive shyte they don't really need.
  18. But the GOP having control of both houses & the presidency is all that matters to them. They'll play along, especially once they realise it means that the USA can go back to being the biggest bully in the global playground with the added bonus of being able to do so with the Russians on board for much of it. We're probably going to head back to the same sort of America as that of the Reagan era, but without any "Evil Empire" to check their excesses. The end result for the world by the end of 2017 alone - let alone a full Trump & Putin running the planet term - is deeply worrying.
  19. If there's anyone likely to know what Jackson Pollock was all about, it has to be the Stone Roses - without him they'd have been fked for record sleeves.
  20. Which has to be the most macabre timed Tweet of the year: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-38423963#share-tools Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher 'suffers heart attack' US actress Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars films, is in a critical condition after suffering a heart attack during a flight, reports say. She went into cardiac arrest on the London to LA flight, the LA Times said. Passengers attempted to revive her with CPR and she was rushed to hospital when the plane landed after midday local time (20:00 GMT), the TMZ website said. Fisher, 60, had been on tour promoting her latest book The Princess Diarist. The heart attack happened about 15 minutes before the plane landed in LA, celebrity news website TMZ reported. A medic who was travelling on the plane administered CPR. A law enforcement official told NBC that her condition was "not good". United Airlines issued a statement saying that Flight 935 from London to Los Angeles was met on the ground by medical personnel after the crew reported that a passenger was "unresponsive", but did not name the passenger, Reuters reported. One passenger has already reported she was unable to breathe unaided.
  21. Not looking good for Carrie Fisher - massive heart attack whilst on flight to LA, and not able to breathe unaided.
  22. Donald Trump has vowed to build nuclear weapons like there's no tomorrow.
  23. To give you an illustration of how utter fked up Indian football has become (which prompted the renegade Super League as a rejection of the I-League), in season 2013/14 Mohun Bagan's average attendance was 17068. However their match against East Bengal on November 24 2013 had 80 000 (& that was due to crowd restrictions enforced by the authorities forbidding them to maximise their stadium's 120 000 capacity in case the inevitable crowd trouble between the two broke out again) - so you can guess what the other matches were like. By contrast, Bangalore boasted getting near maximum attendances in their matches as India's sixth best supported club in the I-League... pity their stadium only hosts 8500. Again, all sounds rather depressingly familiar to our own two club dominated league.
