  1. I'm really looking forward to United attempting to stay up with them, frankly.
  2. I love these guys so much. Leaving Dens with the score at 2-2 in their world must've been shite for them as everyone else got to leaving knowing it was 2-3.
  3. I mean that's what Olusanya did for St. Mirren on Saturday and Butland got booked, so...maybe?!
  4. The obvious comparison would be the one Watt got put off against us for, which was a similar situation, and was overturned. I think the difference will ultimately be that Watt caught Goss with the end of his toe. Vale caught all of McKenzie with his whole foot. It's a red, IMO. Vale with little intent or maliciousness in it at all, but it is very clumsy.
  5. Same. It's difficult to argue you haven't been wreckless when someone's cock has a Nike swoosh on it off your studs.
  6. I know the stats say otherwise but Roos is worse than Kelly, IMO.
  7. Honestly I just want competence at the stuff you're meant to do, over 'inspirational'. It's why I loved Gillespie, because his 'spectacular' moments were relatively limited compared to Kelly, probably? But in a very Roy Keane way 'doing his job' he was exceptional at.
  8. Genuinely just realised Reece McAlear is currently 22 years old, which feels impossibly young. Lol. He's an odd one, as he felt like the obvious next one up following Turnbull's inevitable departure, and we obviously rated him, but a couple of Championship spells aside, not much to go on. Freezing prices is decent like. Still pricey, but fair play.
  9. I suppose this is where it's important that the club makes it clear that actually; we're better for your development. That demographic has been a constant for the last decade, in that time we've seen guys like Ben Hall, Robbie Leitch (Who can forget that saga), Hastie, Rice, probably some others I forget. None of whom have come close to what Turnbull has achieved either in minutes nor triumphs. The Turnbull and Miller examples (And I suppose Johnston as well now) are the best of these, where it is made abundantly clear to young players that yes; there's better money elsewhere, there's other opportunities at bigger clubs, but the chances of you playing regularly are slim. You are good enough here to be a first-team regular, and your next move is one to another club where you'll play. McAlear and Rice took moves straight to another youth team/another team and are they better for it? Probably not. Were they good enough to contribute anyway? A question that doesn't really have an answer, but I suspect that Rice in particular would be better served standing next to Lennon Miller on a Saturday than he is sitting in the stand for 30 weeks a year.
  10. A reminder that Kevin Van Veen has 10 appearances with Kilmarnock for 0 (zero) goals, and 1 (one) assist, thus far. All things considered, given Vale's contribution compared to Van Veen's, we were absolutely correct not to throw money at him.
  11. McCowan has been fantastic but I'd still have Spittal ahead of him. Kent over CCV for me, simply as CCV has been in and out so much. He's better, Kent with a better season IMO.
  12. Stuff like this drives me mental. I understand that defensively there's a million reasons and ways why you can be bad at this, whatever. If you aren't aiming to be at the top of the goals for column every year, then why not? You have 4 days a week to figure that out!
  13. That time we played United on the final day in 2007 when we'd stayed up (just) and had zip to play for. Bobby Martinez arrived as folk queued at the turnstile, some laddie said "Hey that's Roberto Martinez". I'd say he spoke pretty loudly, because Bobby heard him, turned around and gave a cheery wave to the queue who mainly nodded/smiled back. The same laddie then followed this up with "He was fucking shite." at basically the same volume. Bobby was not happy.
  14. Bit rough, that? United are (as we know!) chucking money at guys like Watt, Gallagher and Moult. Do wonder if it's Easton. We've been linked with Byrne half a dozen times (though I guess he is a Dundee player), and Stanton is good but probably not at this level? Easton has been all the way down and worked his way back up by being an absolute baller, so that would possibly fit.
  15. He also doesn't continually pick up bookings for random acts of violence.
  16. When the cinch deal was announced he DM'd the SPFL asking if they had any discount codes.
  17. With the chat around 2/3 of what will be our longest serving players potentially leaving, we could really do with someone that's exactly this.
  18. I'll never forget him playing in central midfield and Zidane turning some St. Mirren jobber, and convincing myself he'd be brilliant.
  19. All in all, weird season, ended up roughly where we're meant to be, somehow. Scored a million goals, scored some belters, conceded nothing but horrors. Scottish cup a disaster, league cup a disappointment. Still quite like this team? Also can we stop hooking Davor as a standard option, we go to pieces every fucking time.
