  1. All in all, weird season, ended up roughly where we're meant to be, somehow. Scored a million goals, scored some belters, conceded nothing but horrors. Scottish cup a disaster, league cup a disappointment. Still quite like this team? Also can we stop hooking Davor as a standard option, we go to pieces every fucking time.
  2. They've got enough money to invest "because it's a good laugh", and want to do so with a club that has a strong identity, and then we can sign a functioning back-line because of it. Likely this is it? Probably not. If you don't have your suspicions around motives then I'd like to inspect your wallet, tbh.
  3. Where can I find the tweets about the board being too left wing, I would like a giggle.
  4. A reminder that they're 3 (three) points better off than us this season for that loss.
  5. This is the thing making me most nervous btw. Everyone assuming that Dundee will lose, taking it to the final day; this sounds like a perfect time for a bit of Dundee Things. Ultimately, Top Six at this stage is a massive bonus ball for us, but yeah, it would not surprise me at all to see Tony Doors head home a 96th minute winner for them.
  6. No. They weren't invited to parties in high school either.
  7. Great way to keep Lawrence Shankland in the league if we're promising a timeline on the great reset.
  8. Honestly at this stage I'm not even sure whether the pyramid adds much. I think it probably will at some point but I'd rather have Cowden and Rovers than Cove and FC Edinburgh City.
  9. Aye. Always been a good way to round off the season, kind of regardless of where you finish. You can have fun beating dumpling teams if you're good but in 7th, you're safe with a challenge if you're 6th, you can hunt Europe, you've got a good way of convincing yourself you'll stay up if you're struggling. I dunno. That you can finish 7th with more points than 6th really seems to upset folk, despite that it's clearly different things.
  10. I understand that like, we are infuriating as a team, but similarly, I dunno, I just fucking like us as well? We're pretty decent to watch, we've got a squad that gives a f**k, and we (probably) go into the final game with a shot at top six. We've recruited fine, we're planning for 24/25 already by the looks of things, we've improved players, if we can somehow squeak into the top six, we probably solve some budgetary concerns. Even if we miss top six, we're a bawhair away from mathematical safety, and if we can get that sorted then we can give Elliot/Ebiye/Halliday/Nicholson a decent run to see what they've got/continue to bed them in for next season to hit the ground running. Always feel that Robinson was right in making a big deal about being good in the league cup group stages, so ideally, let's do that again.
  11. It's a real stick or twist from all involved. If we can get another year on his deal; absolutely stick. If he (justifiably!) sees his future elsewhere, then fine. I love him man. He comes across a fucking great guy, clearly a big part of the "group" and keeps bodying defenders up and down the country.
  12. To me it's more like Robinson. He continually fucked starting lineups then fixed it, and improved pretty steadily. Kettlewell never gives me the "what the f**k are we even doing?" that Alexander did regularly.
  13. All things considered, that was absolutely fucking hilarious.
  14. So you're telling me the pitch inspection two days before wasn't actually binding?
  15. Swello knows what he's about. Is the balmore still open? Similarly good boozer in Stobie. Start in the Phoenix with a pint of chips, taxi up to the clep. Clep bar is top class, impossible to hold a conversation while admiring all the various memorabilia around the walls.
  16. I suspect the managed decline at Dens will not stretch to that, so look forward to being here again next year.
  17. So Dens has plumbing issues but a stadium 200 yards away is completely unaffected by this problem?
  18. Incredibly unlucky to have completely localised rain directly above Dens park and no-where else in the country, five times. That really is just bad luck, I guess.
  19. Presumably because all re-arranged fixtures generally have to be agreed to by both clubs.
  20. Yes, it is indeed not Dundee's fault that they are about to have their fifth match postponed this year due to weather.
  21. Can we stop with the idea that Motherwell will cease to exist? In an absolute worst case scenario, a catastrophic set of events on and off the field, the worst we will be is a bad Championship side.
  22. See fwiw, @JayMFC is intending to post but for some reason P&B is doing weird shit on his browser
  23. Are there any situations where FFP has actually been effective? Feel like clubs pay it lip service and just lawyer up when they're inevitably caught.
