  1. The Leafs have gone to sh*t. Since going 4-0-0, our record has stood at 1-7-3. We've been shut out three times in that time span too. Not f*cking good enough.
  2. Barcelona! F*cking 4 out of 5 teams again!
  3. Two accumulators, both let down by two teams. 3/5 on one, let down by Manchester City and Barnsley. 2/4 on the other, let down by Rangers and Berwick Rangers. Conspiracy...
  4. That's very true. Attendances are likely to be higher at the football matches as well. There's only so much capacity you can have with ice hockey, as compared to a football pitch the rink is quite small, and trying to fit, say 50,000 people into a hockey match means most of them will struggle to see the rink at all.
  5. Great to see Dom score the hat trick, we're firing them in at the moment. Another win for the Clan, great run going into a tough one against Coventry next weekend. What happened to Brucey? Bad news if he has broken his arm, he's a right good player. Hanson should just f*ck off. Seen him three times, he doesn't have a clue.
  6. I really wanted to go today, but I've spent a good bit of money this weekend on the game on Friday and the football yesterday. I need to save some cash and some of my mates were working as well. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to going to an away game but it seems I'll just have to wait a bit longer.
  7. Philadephia 5-2 Leafs. We were sh*te, defense was poor, Giguere was left exposed and the offense didn't hit many shots. Very disappointing tonight. Any news as to why Kovalchuk was dropped for the Devils?
  8. It's not taken me long to get into supporting Braehead, I quickly got the feel back after I stopped watching the Paisley Pirates when they moved to Braehead Arena. Excellent performance yesterday once we scored our first, before our goal Dundee looked liked they could handle us. Bobby Chaumont took his goals in style, great hat trick for him. Perras was fantastic in net once again. I also enjoyed the Mexican wave that was going round near the end Bring on the Caps!
  9. Albion f*cking Rovers! After QPR drew on Friday night, I placed another bet with the teams I had on that accumulator, and decided to stick Albion Rovers on it, along with another five team accumulator which had Albion on it. I got 4/5 with Chelsea, Coventry, Brighton and Rochdale winning, but thanks to Albion losing to Sunnybank it meant nothing. On my other accumulator I got 2/5 with Livingston and Hearts winning, while Swindon, Huddersfield and Albion let me down. This wouldn't have happened if QPR won last night
  10. Once again I've been denied my first win by one team, this time by Sampdoria. Would have won 32 quid from the fourfold had they decided to win instead of lose. I was also let down by Leverkusen and Sparta Prague on a low stake fivefold, Prague conceding in the last minute.
  11. On one five team accumulator, I was let down by Norwich, Leeds and Roma. On the other accumulator, I got 4/5, but Rubin Kazan didn't win Twice in less than a week I managed 4/5.
  12. I was only comparing the prices, nothing specific about teams. The hockey is cheaper and much more entertaining, therefore I think it's definitely value for money compared to an SPL game.
  13. Narrow defeat for the Leafs against the Islanders, OT loss of 2-1. Referees didn't help us out at all, denied a perfectly legit goal from Kris Versteeg, and from what I read on the Leafs site one of the NY players covered the puck with his hand in the crease to stop us from scoring (which, according to the site should have resulted in a penalty shot). If that's not enough, the penalty that lead to the Islanders winner was very harsh too. Still, 4-0-0-1 is an excellent start. On a side note, Sean Avery has gotten away with his double slash on Komisarek, because both blows were below the knee and Komi didn't end up injured. It's a f*cking disgrace if you ask me, how Wisniewski gets banned for a gesture towards Avery, yet Avery gets away with a deliberate attempt to injure a player. NHL should be ashamed of themselves for that.
  14. I know the feeling, I myself sucked at revising. I'd say try and take a bit in each day, do a question and if you have problems ask the next day. Take breaks when you need to, give yourself something to look forward to afterwards. Avoid distractions when revising if possible, and play some music if it helps.
  15. On my Scottish fivefold Falkirk f*cked me out of £13.06 Manchester United and QPR messed up my English fivefold.
  16. Leafs go 4-0-0 after an overtime win against NY Rangers last night. Clarke McArthur nets his fifth goal in four games and is the first ever Leaf to score in all of his first four games. Phil Kessel netted twice and Mike Komisarek scored the other. Once again, Sean Avery acted like the fud he is with two slashes on Komisarek when the referees weren't looking. Linky Highlights, plus Avery's slashes at 1.08. I read on the Leafs site that Komi got Avery back with a cross check later on, but it wasn't involved in the video.
  17. Allright, thanks. I stuck a fiver in the Euros but after Northern Ireland shafted me I've decided to keep it low for now until I get used to the gambling world.
  18. Thanks Adam, I'll check that site out. I bet in-store, never really trusted online sources with money, even if it's a "safe" site.
  19. Reading some peoples bets, I notice that they seem to get much higher winnings than myself. Am I doing something wrong when I could do the same thing and win more, or is it just the sh*te odds? For instance, I placed two five-team accumulators today (£1 on each): Dunfermline (4/7) Falkirk (10/11) Livingston (2/5) Peterhead (4/5) Arbroath (8/11) Win is £8.96. And: Manchester United (1/3) Cardiff (8/15) QPR (8/13) Peterborough (8/11) Shrewsbury (4/7) Win is £13.06. Is it just the odds, or could I be filling in something similar and getting a bigger profit? Some people seem to be putting on similar teams with much bigger cash pots. The bookie is William Hill.
  20. I didn't think we played too well last night, although Nottingham did play much better than Hull. I was unhappy with the refereeing though, lots of off-puck cheating by the Panthers including that cheap shot at the end of the second period and the check from behind on Richardson, along with not allowing any fights to flow. Also, the fact that Nottingham knocked the net off about five or six times and kept getting away with it didn't help. That being said, a bad second period let us down, and now we've just got to focus on a tough game at the weekend away to the high flying Sheffield Steelers.
  21. Gotta love hockey. Fighting other players and constant body checks are legal, whereas things like delay of the game result in 2 minute penalties and in this case, a fine and suspension for a gesture
