  1. Sick of hearing this there are no alternatives and that no one is interested in putting money into the club Put it up for sale then you will find out nobody in their right mind would put money into the club at the moment with the present board So why haven't they put their hands up said they can't take take it any further ?
  2. serious question where do you think the problems at the club lie ?
  3. Well you can always tell us what your chums discuss at the next board meeting [emoji4]
  4. You honestly believe clyde fans are happy at the situation The club is a disaster area no chairman no leadership and a poor manager who obviously has a grip on the club Why was this allowed to happen ? If you think I take any pleasure in my club nosediving down the bottom league in Scotland you have no idea
  5. Money ? We have signed mackenzie and Mcmillan don't think there is a bottomless pit [emoji6] Will be interesting to our budget this year When the accounts are produced think it might explode the myth of the shoestring
  6. Seriously with the players we have to be sitting 7th 27 points behind the league leaders isn't underachieving nobody said scosshing the league Apart from linn and McCord don't think any others are that much better Ps you forgot about Linton
  7. as for BF columns in the Record , what do people expect him to talk about? (he usually does shoehorn in a wee bit about us ) ,does it bother me not in the slightest it's a complete load of guff designed to make sure everyone knows he is a Rangers man its actually quite amusing him slagging off Paul le guen when his team hasn't won a league game in 3 months don't think he does irony and the shreddies story was beyond cringe worthy.
  8. the mess we find ourselves in is a collective responsiblity ,yes the players haven't performed. i do think a lot of that is down to BF out bursts and general man management I have backed him form day one but I have now came to the conclusion he simply isn't cut out for a management position , targeting individual players after games , anybody in a management position knows you don't pick out individuals for a public slating .,wasn't the greatest fan of Duffy but I recon if you gave him the squad Ferguson we would be challenging for the title right now. Even Derek Ferguson said on radio we were underachieving and that "He had to take us up this season " I hope he does prove me wrong ,but seriously how many fans would put their hard earned at the bookies on us being promoted. I wont be calling for his head if we lose on saturday ,there is no point now let him have to the end of the season if we don't go up then its a big decision do we give him a fourth chance at promotion ? ps not the biggest fan of the board but credit them they have certainly backed the manager.
  9. Maybe you should volunteer to be the official cheerleader for the support they could get you a big megaphone and drum you could lead us straight to the premier league encouraging a vocal support [emoji23]
  10. Or ask for the chairman if you want to invest in the club
  11. After the cup tie which will take care of its self the next 4 Saturday games are Elgin away Annan away Forfar home Arbroath away That's the top four (at present ) on our present form I don't see many points coming our way from these games Interspersed will be three mid week games Berwick away Montrose home Cowdenbeath home We really have to target at least two wins out of these Hopefully we get some of the injured players back soon
  12. He has agreement with club if full time team comes in he can go would think.it makes it easier for him to move even out the transfer window
  13. 18 home games 1500 a game What I said was if you can add 100 a game we had nearly 700 at Forfar game down to 468 on Saturday Improve on park fans will return and organise the club better PR , promoting games improve match day experience Only an opinion
  14. How much do think it would cost to run a football ground per year ? That's electric, maintenance, rates , insurance? 100 fans per home roughly pays 90% of that So add 100 fans per home game at today's rates and it's the equivalent of it being rent free I'm no great fan of Broadwood but I still think it's not the worst option at the moment
  15. We can do pitch side advertising at the moment , we have control of hospitality/ corporate subletting any pitch ( 4g) requires you to buy a stadium then lay the pitch (that's a helluva out lay ) albion rovers, Elgin, Stirling, arbroath all have grass pitches serious question how much do you think you could make out of catering ? Attracting a 100 more fans to the game blows that out the water Broadwood isn't ideal but it does represent value for money at the moment until we buy our own ground or get someone else to build us one what's the option
  16. The CIC clearly doesn't work we have spent the last year's on life support relying on golf days race nights and philanthropic clyde fans and this is hailed a success ? Unless it's some maniac that takes over (surely due diligence would stop that) can't really see a down side they would by default bring in buisness acumen, contacts and most of all prime pump funds (you would hope ) so what's the attraction well it would cost them nothing to gain control of the club there is nobody to buy it off, no debts and still a team with a great history , if as rumoured the ground rental is less than 40k per year that's you got no maintenance costs etc while you look for alternatives or build the club at Broadwood. The state the club are in just now ( not good ) as stated in the new year message from the board I don't see a downside.
  17. Over the past number of posts the debate has been excellent differing views but at least we are talking about the club Positive at least fans still care [emoji106]
  18. At the end of the day we are all clyde diehards If you want you can ask the previous chairman if I asked a lot of questions , challenged the board at forums /agm etc my last agm was when I asked how much money do you think the name change had cost the club answer he didn't know and it wasn't relevant I was the told by other supporters to give it a rest and stop complaining I was also at every name change meeting fighting to keep the club name while the majority told me and others that the club would die if I voted against it which I did What else do you want me to do chain myself to the dugout at Broadwood ? I don't believe in the CIC why would I want to prop it up ? I prefer to put in a three figure sum each year or would you prefer I pay 30 quid and never turn up at a game
  19. It is a time for radical change I have advocated putting the club up for sale at the worst nobody comes in what is lost ? Or you might get a guy like the alloa owner or you might get a few wealthy guys coming in , owning a football club is still a big deal I really believe that I have said for a that i thought Ferguson was putting money in and that he is tied into the club finances , remember at every turn the present board has denied it . Why ? I think we are now in the same position we are with brown and that board were given pelters. Ferguson won't take an old head in the dugout he would see that as an admission of failure.
  20. Certainly was a lot better than the previous 6 odd games Seeing as we have problems trying to organise seating for 60 odd away fans Doubt the other items you mention are even on the radar Probably find the games you go and watch are better organised
  21. At new year they said 4 locations were being investigated They interviewed for a chairman ( bizarre ) don't think there is a strategy if there is one they are keeping it quiete So basically nothing to report We will simply stumble along crowds going down stuck in the bottom tier of Scottish football trying not to get relegated into the lowland league think that's about as close to a strategy as it gets
