  1. Scottish Labour going on about Fracking today. I might be in a minority with this view but I don't see the problem with fracking. Seems like a good revenue stream and a way of creating more industry. I openly admit I've not got a great deal of knowledge about it, but of what I've read this morning I don't think banning it is the right move, not sure why Labour are pouncing on it other than for populist reasons.
  2. Aside from the colour the biggest criticism of it seems to be the diamonds. I actually really like them, gives it a bit of a late 90s feel. Tbh aside from the shock of it being blue that's possibly the nicest Dons kit since the Le Coq Sportif era.
  3. MacBeth, from Deeside Brewery. Lovely. Best thing to come from Banchory since Andy Considine.
  4. I'm a political moderate but musically varied. Foo Fighters I just don't get, and Radiohead I think are basically a band people claim they like because it makes them look like they take music seriously. Creep and Karma Police are decent songs, but the rest are largely forgettable or downright awful.
  5. I mean Nirvana were alright. They were no Nickelback but Smells Like Teen Spirit was at least catchy. I hear a Foo Fighters song and five minutes later wouldn't be able to hum the tune back to you. Woefully overrated band.
  6. Every Foo Fighters song I've ever heard has been incredibly bland and without any sort of catchy tune whatsoever. It's just guitar noise. Can't figure out what the appeal is.
  7. Can't decide who's more overrated, Radiohead or the Foo Fighters.
  8. Every time I look at that shirt I like it a bit more. I've gone from absolutely hating it to now mildly disliking it. I predict I'll be buying it by Monday and painting my existing replica kits blue by the end of next week.
  9. Did they not get priced out of getting Dorrans for something like £1 million? If they can't afford that I'm struggling to see how they would get McLean.
  10. How does Nick Grimshaw keep getting gigs on the tv and radio? He's a man of 0 talent who nobody likes. I can't exactly say I particularly liked Chris Moyles personally but at least he had personality so I could see why folk liked him, but Grimshaw has the personality of a peg bag.
  11. Why would we do that? Has McLean said he doesn't want to stay or something?
  12. Congratulations! Agree in the placenta, to think some folk eat them!
  13. Last time I took so much stuff then never needed any of it. Helped by the fact that ten minutes after I got into the ward the baby was born. With that in mind if we have another it'll be the longest labour ever and I will be woefully underprepared.
  14. Just finished watching it, loved it. The slow build makes the crucial scenes even more dramatic and they are delivered so slickly and subtly that even though you basically know what is going to happen you still get the pay off. I think I actually prefer this to Breaking Bad and I thought Breaking Bad was up there with some of the best TV I've ever seen.
  15. In happier news. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/1274670/north-east-brewery-launches-mcinnes-beer-recognition-loyal-dons-boss/
  16. Shinnie better than Jack or McLean. Jack the worst of the three imo, albeit still a good player.
  17. If we lost 3 Dons players to the old firm in one transfer window I would be pretty upset. It's depressing enough having them in our league but if we are in a position where three of our best players can just be gobbled up by the old firm as soon as they come calling then we are in a pretty poor position. We aren't going to win the league next season but second should still be the target, losing McLean to anyone would make that harder, but losing him to our likely rivals for second would be terrible.
  18. I thought it was Birmingham who wanted McLean not Sevco? Personally wouldn't part with him, even if he goes on a free next year, with the amount of rebuilding the squad already needs, losing probably our second best player could be disastrous.
  19. Hop House 13. I think it's Guinness' attempt at cashing in on the craft beer boom. It's a perfectly drinkable lager but a bit forgettable. Would drink again but wouldn't go out of my way to do so.
  20. So Milne suggested we would sign someone this week, it's now the end of the week and he's back to pleading for support from the fans. Doesn't bode well.
