Don't remember that happening to Higgins, although I wouldn't be a bit surprised! It happened to Myles Hogarth though (one of our current goalie's dad) against, I think, Partick Thistle?

Aye, was speaking to a few other Falkirk fans who mentioned he was a bombscare, but that they can remember him doing it, just can't remember who against.

If it did happen, it may have been in what I recall as one of the most horrific goalkeeping performances I've ever seen. Away to Inverness.

Aye I was thinking it might have been this game(as he only played 15 matches, so there aren't too many games that it could have happened in 🤣)

Going to watch this as soon as I finish Painkiller, the Josh Sims-endorsed story of OxyContin.  It’s really snappily written.

Out of interest, have you seen the TV show Dopesick? Was out a few years ago, and Painkiller seems to be the same show(well, based on some of the same people anyway). Just wondered if it's just the same story produced by a different streaming service(I think it was Disney that I watched Dopesick on, was really good, but a tough watch at times. Michael Keaton and Kaitlyn Dever were both excellent)

This is probably as petty a subject as I've ever commented on, but.....

I've just watched the news item about the English women losing the final, and seen the penalty save. The penalty was awarded after VAR review.

If there was VAR, why wasn't a retake ordered? The keeper was well off her line before the ball was kicked, IMO.

Still according to the coverage, the best team won.

I thought it was possible she had one foot still on the line as it was hit, was close though. Below is a still image of the moment the ball was hit(this was the angle VAR looked at, as VAR checked the incident).

TV folk, is there var? Can't understand it not looking at Watkins pen shout. Was soft but surely a look.
Been very good half. Two big let offs first 10 but more than matched them. Celtics new number 4 is rank red rotten.

Aye. They looked at it. When I first seen it I thought possible penalty, but having seen a replay it wasn't a foul. He didn't get caught(but didn't dive, just fell/slipped)

Keeper looked in mid-air as that was struck

    That's surely a re-take?

    Definite wid, though

Agree about her being off the line there. How does VAR miss that?

How did it take them so long to award that btw? Clear as day.

Should have been a retake as well. Though the odds are heavily in the attackers favour with penalties now so don't have much sympathy when they f**k it up.

Especially when they're standing closer to the penalty spot than their own goal line when the ball is struck.

Did the show an angle looking right along the line? I thought at first she was miles off it, but then seen an angle where it looks like her right boot is on the line/above it.

Seen quite a few keepers appearing to come off the line, but have thrown one of their legs back a bit, as they go forward
