  1. Have any sjfa or ersjfa officials transferred to eos ?Ie represent one of the club's.

To answer my own question.I could be wrong as information from 2016 handbookEast region vice president James Provan Broxburn Athletic.Presumably he will have resigned his position at east region (or at broxburn) and issued a statement ?

It would appear that no other delegate is associated with a moving club as yet.

Les Donaldson mbe jp Linlithgow is a sjfa delegate

Main officials are at Oakley and Whitburn

  2. IF (big if) eos were to go regional below its top league of 16 then all future applicants would be "safe" at tier 7.

If they decided on straight leagues then many as you say would be cast into the wilderness of tier 8 or potentially 9.

    Eos hold all the cards.

    4 leagues 2019/20

  3. With the way things currently are south of the Tay Bridge, any clubs deciding that remaining where they are is the answer have failed to understand the significance of the question.

Strictly speaking the promises on the table to the club's from junior hierarchy still stand.

Clearly most of those teams have seen through the charlatans but some have not.

To be fair to many of the "lower ranked" teams.

With the ever decreasing chances of being a top 16 eos team they are perhaps as well to be in the superleague for one year anyway.

Will probably enter the eos on a level par eventually alongside the rest.

This is if the eos regions tier 7 as opposed to having a single league at 7 then 8 etc.

  4. Most significant point today is the geographical barrier to perceived progression has been breached.

Now we have perth and north fife represented in the eos applications.

Maybe see some late action from other teams in these areas.

40 plus teams (hopefully) fighting for 16 tier 6 spots should make great competition.

  5. Can someone give an updated list of what teams are now remaining Junior in the East. I stand to win a big bet from my old man. I told him a year ago, Lochore Welfare would be in the Super League within 5 years. The way things are going, it’s looking good for my prediction

Aye you could be facing off against other teams that should be 2 levels below the sl [emoji6]

I actually suspect they will need to drop the sl back to 14 or even 12 teams to keep some sort of balance

  6. Looks like there will be 39 teams left in the East Region  after Broxburn, Dundonald and the wee rose leave.

A 14 team top league with a 13 team North and 12 team South division by the look of things for those remaining.

Expect st Andrews to change their minds.

    Management want eos

  7. Do they realise they are inside the EoSL's catchment being from Fife and don't fall under the category of Dundee because they used to be a Tayside team?
Yes they are not that naive.
Rightly asking what no one apart from Arbroath vics seem to be querying.
    Of the major clubs
Lochee utd : Hardly have to publicise their thoughts 're eos but no pyramid news
Broughty : webmaster/President has departed. Not sure if a coincidence.
    Carnoustie : See Lochee
Forfar west end : Not a tweet or even a mention of no relegation caused by eos
  8. What are the Tayside clubs supposed to do though? East teams south of the Tay have to look after themselves but north of the Tay there is nowhere to go.  It really needs a club in Tayside to call the bluff of the HL and SFA and ask for entry.

You misunderstand. The Tayside teams all appear to think there are roses in the garden. They don't need to do anything as life will be great as per the hierarchy. The crunch will be if the boat leaves port and they find they have been left ashore.

    No evidence yet for that.

I don't want to provoke any friend or foe.

In my own opinion I think the Tayside teams are a little ambivilent to the eos. Much like the west teams.

Kind of a what the feck is that all about.

My straw poll/chats with a number of spectators at tayport on saturday backed that up. All they were aware of was kelty continually pumping the local village brownies. Knowledge is scarce.

Tayside teams certainly have no interest in the north juniors.

    Very dangerous ground potentially.

  9. I risk getting banned from all grounds haha but believe influences are strong from the hierarchy in the Tayside area.

The evidence of no one breaking ranks supports this.

Only dissent I have spotted is from Arbroath vics Twitter who are not happy.

I would have thought a team like Dundee north end who had a fantastic season for no reward may have been a little more vocal as an example.

  10. I find it absolutely astonishing that, over the last few weeks with all these comings and goings in east region, that not one public announcement has come from SJFA or ERJFA.
All the club's holding EGMs, seem to be clear about 1 thing, uncertainty.
The Juniors needed to publicly set out their stall; this is why you should stay, this is what it looks like, this is what we are going to do in the future....
    But nothing.
You could almost believe that they are happy to see clubs go.
These same clubs appear to be powerless though. There is no way they should be putting up with this. Some clearly aren't.
Certainly nothing has been public but there were certainly a lot of panicking phone calls being made by the east officialdom yesterday.
Their new superleague 16 with 2 districts just announced last week is already somewhat doomed not to be as balanced as it was.
For those not in the know their was to be 4 relegated from this new sl and 2 promoted from each district.
I think those districts had 16 and 15 teams.
Lochore the only team that had been shuffled geographically.
  11. Are there eleven teams above them that have officially announced they were leaving juniors? I can only see five from Super league and five from premier?

    Maybe a decent educated guess

This rate they could be in the top 8 excluding Tayside so in the sooperdooper. [emoji6]

  12. Now being told st Andrews voted against joining eos as they now know they will be in the superleague. Need an official statement.

    Thought original source was good.

This one is a club secretary.

Just added that ALL sorts of phone calls are currently being made to all east clubs by east officials.

    Hello Mr xxx

    Are you staying or going [emoji16] [emoji16] [emoji16] [emoji16]

  13. Numbers are rapidly dwindling, St Andrews now look to be going too. What's the current situation with Tayport?

Talk that Downfield will now scrape into the Superleague. Not bad for a 10th place finish.

Turning a bit farcical now imo.

Moving forward, what will the options be for the East Superleague teams? Is a North of Scotland pyramid set up on the cards at all?
Tayport are in the believe what the hierarchy are saying camp.
A rumour suggested the St Andrews application would test the eos committee. Assume only geography could come into play.
Jeanfield seem to be suggesting something similar.
