  1. Now whilst I'm Rhys's biggest fan this has previously crossed my mind, especially with McNamara's history at Dundee United. I get it a little in that every club at our level is looking to develop young players and sell them on but yip, it could be to the detriment of the team therefore I hope it's not true and his bonus is structured somewhat differently.
  2. I find him playing "cowards" football, I get so frustrated watching him continually going backwards. Sorry we need better.
  3. And there's nothing reactionary about it, I've been saying it all season.
  4. Drivel, all managers want better players but you can only pee with the cock you've got. Direct your angst to the Chairman!
  5. I've not given up on him but everything breaks down with him. His ball retention is dreadful, he's an impact sub at best.
  6. The problem is we're too reliant on Gallagher, no one else looks like scoring. And someone really has to tell me what Dean McMaster brings to the side, virtually zero contribution going forward, can't beat a man, can't shoot, can't header and virtually 90% passes going backwards. Absolute imposter! Also add McStravick to that he's not yet good enough at this level and needs to gain experience, probably why Linfield let him go. Missing Aiken and Ballantyne big time.
  7. Yip, got the starting 11 correct which is no mean feat these days although I think its more this with magic floating around anywhere close to Gal and Megwa up against Chalmers after the torrid time he gave Hancock previously cutting in from the right: Rae McCabe Fordyce Hancock Janny Telfer McMaster Frizz Megwa McStravick CalGal
  8. Not time! Seems good news on the injury front with Telfer & McCabe starting and McGregor on the bench. I won't be surprised to see Megwa up against Chalmers.
  9. Pre-match preview for Ayr doesn't offer much hope on the injury front. Obviously Aiken & Ballantyne long term and it seems unlikely Telfer & McGregor will be back as well as the manager himself listed withs a back injury although he never elaborated. Admittedly sometimes he's not accurate or perhaps telling porkies so as not to give the opposition any clues. Line up tomorrow will be interesting especially trying to stop Chalmers who tore the arse of Mason Hancock at Airdrie earlier in the season.
  10. Whilst it is a bit early to be looking at the "other" results, glad to see Ian Murray's mob grab a win at Arbroath last night. Appreciate that it's what we do that counts and we desperately need some wins, but Arbroath's next 5 fixtures look extremely tough and I would be really worried if we can't extend the gap on them by mid January.
  11. I may be mistaken but I think we've only paired Gallagher & Todorov at Inverness this season so I think it's clear that the manager doesn't fancy that partnership, and they certainly didn't gel that day. A front 2 with no pace wouldn't be for me.
  12. Looks like we could be down to 6th tonight, not a bad thing methinks as Morton winning is a worse result.
  13. Difficult job picking a side when we're struggling results and injuries as borne out by the recent permutations in this thread. It does seem that most want the manager back in the side which I wouldn't disagree with even though we are lacking pace all over the park with our quick/quickish players all injured. Although Fordyce is beginning to look a bit sluggish, he still is the only defender I see that can win defensive headers, and for that reason alone he's got to play. 3 massive games coming up where we really need at least 4 or 5 points (wouldn't like to lose against Morton), followed by a transfer window where the current injuries will need to be evaluated and possible signings considered.
  14. Sad news. Any other oldies remember the Spring Cup final at Firhill where Willie, as well as scoring 2, accidently nutted the referee to his arse when protesting about a decision. Would have been a straight red these days, accidental or not. https://www.airdriefc.com/2324-news/231210/willie-mcculloch?fbclid=IwAR0lyjzmT5NwyKZiUB-PPEbA-G0amzXbI0NVU2sXTgUz44k9UQypRlgedpo
  15. It's possible Frizz could get dropped but only if Telfer is fit as a midfield of 3 sitters, McCabe, McMaster & Gav Gal wouldn't work.
  16. Yes, in a team struggling to score we need players who pose a goal threat.
  17. Yip agree, it's been Telfer and 2 others when picking the side. Even the Telfer doubter/hater I know concurs, well at the moment!
  18. Yes, whilst ATS reads the game well, his lack of pace is there for all to see.
  19. That's happened a few times this season although don't really have an issue with it as the manager doesn't want to give too much away.
  20. Without looking at the numbers I would assume it was Mason Hancock.
