    Airdrie side as expected although good to see the guys who have been out injured making the bench along with our new signing Donnell.

    Another plus from the match preview is that Cammy Ballantyne is back taking part in training. Next reserve match is 13th February so hopefully he can feature in that and be back in the first team squad for our next League game v Ayr on the 17th.

    Yeh, 38-40 points will definitely be enough for any club not to finish bottom but yes it will be required to finish 8th. Arbroath look to be really struggling though and not helped by injuries therefore I fear the worst for them and can actually see them getting tailed off.

    Our defensive line, which has been superb recently wasn't great but was Watson too deep or McCabe too high? Hancock's positioning was my first thought but perhaps the highlights might clarify. I do however concur that not running back is not what fans want to see.

    I've still got one eye on the bottom 2 places of the table even though I do believe It's virtually impossible for Arbroath to finish out of the bottom 2. Two free hits coming up and wins would be great confidence boosters but ultimately our next 2 league games, Ayr (H) & Morton (A) are much more important and will go a long way to securing 8th place. We're in a decent place but I still would like to see us signing a mobile centre forward as it would add so much to the side and different to what we've got. Perhaps someone in the mould of Jermaine Hylton until the season end might be realistic.

    If ever a draw was a fair result then this was it in what was a decent watch. As someone who was a huge Kerr McInroy fan and extremely annoyed when he signed for Thistle. What has happened to him? Worst player on the park and rightly hooked.

    Will be a real test for us missing Ballantyne, Aiken &, McGill and the Manager stated in his pre-match interview that he brought Gallagher back too early last week, so he's also unlikely to feature. Add in the recent departure of Megwa (although we have to forget about him now) then we're certainly not anywhere near full strength, therefore I'll take point now.

    Lyall did say in his interview that he played up front previously prior to becoming a midfielder, so perhaps. Connor Smith would have been ok but with Lyall coming in and Aiken due back soon then we're pretty decent for cover in midfield. Still surprised at his move to St Johnstone though, 6th level of English football to the SPL, maybe Derek Adams ain't as mad as he appears.

    Couldn't agree more especially as I'm not convinced that McGregor has looked 100% fit either since his return from injury.

    Does anyone know when their contracts are up as the club rarely specify anyone's contract length. Having said that our Chairman is obviously financially astute therefore I would expect talks would have already taken place but can he match the Manager's ambition? Definitely not long term but hopefully until the end of 25 or 26.

    Hibs in general looked very poor as Rangers never even got out of 2nd gear which obviously didn't help. Maybe just as well Aiken got injured as he could have been recalled as well and whilst we're on the subject of Murray, I see Rhys quoted as saying he will be back "shortly", so good news it seems.

    They don't seem to fit in with our transfer policy although believe or not Zak Rudden is only 23. I always feel that he looks dangerous albeit a bit clumsy at times but worth an enquiry to me. Cammy Kerr is decent defensively but doesn't look as if he would fit in with our playing out from the back style.

    It's like virtually all of our signings, we simply have to wait and see how they perform. Todorov has probably been the only signing this season that you knew what you were getting.
