  1. It's Greenock next week, lets hope Fordyce is back given that there's very likely to be an aerial bombardment!
  2. We actually played quite well today but simply no team at any level can give goals away like we did and expect anything. Ballantyne will need a few games to get back up to speed and Donnell showed up well but ditto. More importantly lets hope Fordyce is back soon as he is sorely missed! I mentioned during the week that we needed a forward with a bit of guile, Jamie Murphy's set up for the 2nd goal was a good example of what I meant.
  3. Totally agree that a Fordyce injury would be massively worrying as we have no one close to matching his aerial ability. Hancock would be next but that in turn would be another issue given his recent performances as a leftie.
  4. Right, admit it, who has read this fantastic highly amusing post and googled the "Treaty of Durham"?
  5. He might have been as he's got great ability but his constant diving is annoying the life out of me.
  6. Sadly a friend of mine and a season ticket holder of 48 years couldn't secure a corporate table or even a single seat. Poor show as unique events like this are for the real fans!
  7. Did any non 1924 members have any success on securing tickets for the celebration dinner? Looks like it was virtually a corporate sell out before it was announced!
  8. Yip with regards the Ayr game but whilst Dunfermline are on a bad run, our record is poor against them even though at times we've played well.
  9. Whilst it's admirable to have a go and given our recent defensive record it was easy for Rhys to continue with the same shape but retrospectively, it didn't work as we were wide open when Hearts came forward and losing 3 goals in 10 mins is pretty poor at any level. File under lessons learned. Mason did have a good game and looks ready move up a level (don't know his contract situation but doubt he'll be here next season)but he was badly at fault with the 2nd goal no matter how good a pass it was. Having said that there was still some good signs but definitely struggling up front, McGregor's pace was worrying the Hearts defence but we do need a plater with a bit more guile up there to compliment what we have.
  10. I'm a big Ballantyne fan but will depend on how fit he is and he might be better suited playing against Forrest than Watson, but do we really want to change the back 4? At least we have options and could Lyall replace McStravick?
  11. Here's my 89 year old Uncle a couple of years ago rhyming of team. video-1652988602.mp4
  12. Shankland is giving me the fear. Fair play to him he's absolutely red hot at the moment and a certainty to make the Euros squad.
  13. Could Megwa make a return yet? Lost his place to a 16 year old yesterday (he did replace him though) and other RB's, Cadden on bench & Miller returning from international duty this week, albeit that he seemed to have an absolute mare and a target for the boo boys.
  14. Yeh, his biggest problem is his age but he's going to get mentioned when most jobs in Scotland come up. He needs to manage his career carefully as a wrong choice could set him back but he's a clever guy. As we are all aware, PH keeps everything close to his chest but there is absolutely no way he's not been discussing new contracts with him and Dycey. Of course situations change quickly in football and a quick look at the league table sees us in a healthy 5th place but 5 points from the relegation play off. I'll be much more relaxed if we can get 4 points from our next 2 league games against Ayr and Morton given that we've lost twice to Ayr and Morton are the league's form team.
  15. Mmmm, an Edinburgh and Fife club are not happy with their Manager today!
