It would have been a horrific result if it was against somebody in our own league not 5 tiers above us. Bonnyrigg who are running away with the LL were beaten 6-0 by Alloa. I think we froze on the day and were lucky it was only 5. I will add Talbot are 100% commited to going up, and if we don't then we were simply not good enough. However we are building a great reputation, so much so Hearts put out such a strong team.

Watched the game after coming home from Beechwood, and was shocked to see how poor we were compared to the Hamilton match. Don't get me wrong Hearts were a treat to watch but on the other hand I wish I had watched them playing somebody else. Hearts had two goals ruled out and a stonewall penalty waved away which would have made it even worse. It seemed we were riddled with nerves, the tactic (didn't see a plan B) didn't work and we seemed to be happy with damaged limitation. I was expecting a "Feck it scenario" after going three down but it never happened. Well beaten by a much more superior team.

It was on You Tube though. The Trampoline Stealers humiliated by a team thats sitting 6th in the Highland League. That's Hearts, Hamilton, Arbroath, Cove Ayr and Stranraer thats been to Beechwood. The only big team to visit the Fortress is Ayr and thats because they own it.

Had a wee delve into the LL forum and it looks like the all singing and dancing tier 5 is turning into a shitshow with the ugly sisters colts teams telling the league when they are playing each other, the Highland-Lowland boundary being scrapped due to somebody being miffed about where their team dropped into after being relegated. I couldn't be bothered wading through all the posts, so could somebody enlighten me on whats happening as my team is one of the front runners to be promoted into it.

No1 in what sense. If its on the field then there is every chance as your management team will throw money at the squad until they climb to the top of the pile. I have seen it umpteen times and every time its not ended well. What makes Talbot different is they will not go toe to toe with a club financially and thats what makes them different. Talbot have always lived within their means it suits us and if we have to be second best then there is no shame in that. Outwith the playing field you will never be no1 as their is numerous clubs playing in the WOSL who boast a better fan base than Darvel are better run and are not the whim of an individual.

We need a Paul Frize at Beith to create something in midfield. Healy is a defender playing at attacking midfield so some of the shouts on here are a bit below the belt as the lad gives his all in a position alien to him. However this is an open forum and if supporters want to vent their spleen then they have every right, without being made to look like a pariaha. I will never criticize an individual player on social media, but I will criticize a collective performance and the last two outings have been poor by our standards. In my eyes I can see where our weakness lays but that is my opinion. A wee three week break and lets see how the rest of the season pans out.

Well the only consolation in that performance is the fact that it might free up some match days for us but overall that was woeful. No taking it away from Rob Roy, their not a better team than us but they were a team that showed that they wanted to win and in all honesty if we had left Guys Meadow with a 4-5 nil drubbing then we would have had no complaints. I can't understand how two changes to a side who had recently beaten Hamilton saw us capitulate so easily.

It was a ploy used by Strain at Meadow. He bought up players especially that Tucker was interested in, paid them a handsome wage and most of them didn't even get stripped. Mick McCann and Keir Milliken were prime examples but thankfully these lads wanted to play, came to Talbot when out of contract and became legends. Now if I'm on the wrong side of 30 and somebody came along willing to pay my mortgage every month and all I had to do was turn up at training twice a week then fair do's to the player.

Maybe you need to sign a goalie with seven fingers when the big team come calling.
