  1.                 Gomes
    Gold Little ????? Hammy
           Whatley ToB
    Linn    McCord Denholm
                Doris
id be delighted if we started season with this, skelly as a great deputy for any of the front 4, having Denholm on the left allows Linn back onto the right where he is more effective, and if we can bring in either a solid centre back to allow hammy to leftback,
Few players there can play different position too so easy to change it up if it's not working

Why would you want to move Hammy and disrupt the best centre defence of last season's league. Better to get a new left back.
  2. This was the squad that won our last title. Can't recall what the numbers mean. May be to do with appearances goals sub etc.

  3. Kane does score goals, of that there is no doubt, but he is raw as f**k, not sure he knows what he is going to do half the time, so no chance his teammates know what he is going to do, unpredictability has its charm and at time it's advantages, but this is a team game

Bit like Simon Murray when he came and look how that turned out.
  4. I agree..the amount of corners we have is amazing...shows how much attacking positions we get in, but they come to actually nothing..yet the opposition get the odd one and look much more dangerous..Also can we stop these long throws from little, they come to nothing also...
mccord was a huge miss yesterday, you didn't realise how much until he wasn't there, feel really sorry for malin as he has never let us down and deserved his chance, sukar was also terrible again yesterday, anyone know if Davis gold has a left footed twin?
tough job for Campbell to keep players motivated after last 2 home defeats, need to keep momentum for these playoffs,

We're have the same problem still as we had at the start of the season. Don't score enough goals when on top. Annan game showed this clearly. Oh for a 20 goal striker.
  5. 1320 mate get your dc tinted glasses of wake up smell the roses. if dc doesn't get some cover in he has totally fucked up simple as that

It's not the ideal solution but players can be brought in on emergency loans to play if Little or Hammy were unable to play. Better to have the cover in the club though. Completely agree though that DC should be trying to bring the cover in.

  6. He also brought in Chris Innes. He was an absolute disaster.

It's not about what an individual did while with us it's that not many centre defenders would be keen to join us while Hammy and Little are playing so well. But a player nearing the end of his career might be prepared to sit on the bench and only play occasionally.
  7. Asking to leave to go to specifically go to a club and not going would be shite behaviour tbf.

He will more than likely start at the Coo whereas anyone joining us will see Hammy and Little more or less certain starters and need to be prepared to sit on the bench until his chance comes along. Can't imagine many players would want to join under these circumstances. Tricky one for DC but with his contacts who knows.
  8. 2defeats in the league is a vast improvement from last season. If we could have turned some of those draws into wins we would be at least level with Farfir. Our 1 fault imo which was apparent yesterday is our inability to punish teams when on top. We could have been comfortably a couple of goals up early on but for our profligacy in front of goal. If our strikers can improve on their finishing we could be there at the finish.

  9. IC said he and DC "loved" (he said that word often last night) Kane and he had a great attitude and ability but thought it would benefit both Kane and AFC if he went out for some "game time" and he was still defenitly still part of their plans, I certainly took it that this was not a case of Kane been frozen out the club.

"Love them aw tae bits" was his phrase as ai recall.
  10. Robert Douglas

Due to Robbie Mutch not being able to participate in this weekend's William Hill Scottish Cup tie against the University of Stirling FC, the Club are delighted to announce the signing of the vastly experienced and former Scotland and Celtic Goalkeeper, Rab Douglas.

Rab brings a wealth of experience and knows the Arbroath management team very well and we hope he is given a very warm welcome to Gayfield.

    C'mon the Lichties!

Could have done with him from the start of the season but better late than never. Welcome to the lichties Rab.
