  1. Not seen too much of him due to having a settled team that is winning almost every week. In the few times he has appeared he has been industrious and works hard. He is rated by our management team so I am glad that he is getting a chance to play regularly. Best of luck to him and Stranraer for the rest of the season.
  2. In Cammy's case I am referring to his time at Dundee Utd where the fans did not rate him and Utd were happy to let him go.
  3. I was really impressed by him when he was with Livi as he was always great against us. Less so with the Bairns. But if anyone can get some consistency then Jack is the man. However he is here to make up the numbers and I doubt will be getting a starting place so that may go against him.
  4. Paisley is the happiest place in Scotland - everyone is going around with a great big grin on their face
  5. Jack Ross has a great track record for bringing in players either not rated or poorly rated at other Clubs and turning them into hard-working cogs of our juggernaut. Gav and Cammy being two examples. Hopefully Hippo is the next one up. For those that don't shape up or make the mark they are quickly shipped out. Great manager - doesn't mess about.
  6. You're not derby rivals but an insignificant wee team that have done nothing in decades. But thanks for the title winning congratulations - we'll let you know what it feels like
  7. McGinn was certainly giving a fair few a bollocking at the start of the game. He was right in their face. Reckon he is Captain material.
  8. Do you really think he wants to come from the Premiership to the Championship to be fourth choice on the bench? Or he will be around next season? Or he'll stay out of trouble? Or he'll accept the drop in wages? Or he'll be good for the dressing room? Or he is focused on his job? My answers to these questions are NO to all of them.
  9. No chance we are signing Stokes. Negotiations have been ongoing for a while. Stokes' latest blowout has been recent. Stokes does not fit the profile that Jack likes. And besides all that he would cost too much just now and isn't a player for next season.
  10. Jack knew Kirkpatrick pretty well and that did not work out as a midfield option. Hill is a complete unknown to be thrown in to replace our Captain. We need McGinn against the Pars. They all have a wee holiday coming up soon thanks to the Dons.
  11. No offence to Hill but the guy has never played a first team competitive game - why do some folk think he is the new midfield messiah? He may well be very good but we have no idea at the moment. To suggest we kick McShane out and replace him with Hill is pretty disrespectful I reckon. By all means bring the guy on with 20 mins to go or whatever and see what he can do but we have a current team that has got us 8 points clear in the title race - don't fix what ain't broken.
  12. We are primarily playing a 4-2-4 when attacking which means a hell of a lot of work for McGinn and McShane. It would be unrealistic to expect these guys to be perfect in every game considering the work they have to do. Both do a fantastic job but I welcome an extra body in the shape of Hill to help out if necessary.
  13. Really? We have Eckersley, MacKenzie and Irvine all available but the current 4 do not look like losing their place anytime soon. We do not need another defender. And if we suddenly had a huge injury list we can do what we did before - get an 'emergency' loan in.
  14. Josh didn't feature too much as we had a winning team but due to injuries he got some game time and looked impressive then got injured himself. Don't think we will be letting him go just yet but Jordan Kirkpatrick is well out the picture so he may be next to leave if as speculated we are bringing in more midfielders.
  15. Most Buddies would not recognise him in the street. Goodness knows what you are getting.
  16. Think it more likely to be Buchanan. We only have one right back so Irvine is cover and we have Gary Mac for cover for central defence and two left backs. And I reckon more clubs would be interested in signing Buchanan than Irvine so probably not a loan but off the books.
  17. I watched the England game, and I'm pretty sure I commented on his performance on here. I'm just very wary of proclaiming a player who turns 22 this year some great white hope because hes playing well in the second tier. There's been numerous players over the years who have had a superb few months at that stage of their career and then vanished. If he was just playing well in the second tier I could understand people's reservations. However he has not only not been out of place at international level but excelled in a team full of Premiership players. He can only play against who is in front of him and has easily done that for two years now. At least 5 other Clubs that I am aware of have tried to sign Lewis as they obviously recognise his talent. Of course every signing is a gamble but I have watched this lad every week for two years and know a decent player when I see one. My major reservation is game time but that applies to all players. They have to play regularly to improve. Lewis is certainly capable of playing every week in the Premiership. Just like John McGinn was when he was with us and Hibs while playing in the Championship.
  18. Plenty of St Mirren fans shout abuse at their own players. You should know that.
  19. When we get promoted Celtic can loan him back to us and he can get some Premier League experience Morgan is more than a flair player. He works hard for the 90 mins and I would say only over a 6/8 week period when he was making his mind up where to go, did he not seem totally on his game. But since he made his decision he is back to normal. Of course there is room for improvement in his game but he is a worker. We signed Paul McMullan on loan from Celtic 18 months ago and was surprised how poor he was. No heart nor work-rate and a one trick pony. I thought at the time why are we signing these guys when Morgan is miles better? Besides being a two-footed winger he now has added goals to him game and can shoot with either foot from outside the box. Second top scorer behind Dobbie in the Championship which is not bad for a wide player.
  20. He only turned 21 three months ago. I assume you haven't watched him at U21 level where he has started in 5 games (the only Championship player to start in those games) and was MoM in most of them? In the game against the Netherlands in Paisley he made the £15M Oliver Burke look like he couldn't lace Morgan's boots. A truly exceptional two-footed talent who will be a huge success. Celtic are getting a bargain.
  21. Kirkpatrick has not featured much and unfortunately not impressed much with the chances he has had. Seems to be trying to hard and looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. Pity as his pedigree seemed half decent and Jack had already worked with him but is hasn't worked out so far. Rumour is he may go on loan somewhere.
  22. Jack has been wanting rid of Sutton for a year. Looks like it finally has happened. And we have another big striker lined up that is young and fast.
