  1. Neglected to mention that the keeper on Saturday was listed by the Pollok video clip as Sam Henderson who is 24: https://www.transfermarkt.com/sam-henderson/profil/spieler/381383 and has spent a lot of time with Queen of the South with numerous loan deals along the way.
  2. ^^^provides all the names for the BU team, including: 2 Jacob Glass (last club - Broomhill) https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jacob-glass/profil/spieler/687279 11 Kieran Mooney (last club - Keith) https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kieran-mooney/profil/spieler/953353 17 Aidan McGlynn 18 Jay Murray 21 Cody Thomson along with the more familar ones.
  3. All five goals are in this clip: Three of the six players announced last week (Fin Malcolm and two from CSS) were pre-contract signings made by Ian Little and Ward, Jacobs and Heeps still seem to be around beyond the nine or so (?) contract extensions that were announced when Ian Little was still in charge late last season so there likely weren't all that many players left to sign to fill out the squad and a limited budget left to do it with (Rutherford is described as a record signing which is a positive sign from this standpoint). Think the issue is more likely to be that the new management team have been saddled with another manager's signings who won't necessarily be the players they would have wanted to sign themselves especially if they have a different tactical system in mind from what Ian Little was planning to do.
  4. This was the goal from yesterday: Same account has clips of the goals conceded as well.
  5. Nothing so far on twitter beyond a tweet pointing out that team lists are not at their most helpful at this time of year:
  6. There are no border checks between Russia and Belarus and flights to Minsk are treated as internal ones. It's basically like the Schengen zone that way. The interesting angle is maybe how much weaponry the Wagner troops still have access to and who is paying them at this point. They are being kept around for a reason unless a surprise trip to Katyn Forest is in their future but that seems unlikely. Maybe because Putin can't afford to have too much power concentrated into a tiny handful of his underlings who get along with each other too well or he could wind up being ousted in a similar manner to Nikita Khrushchev.
  7. Would he have been listed on the team sheet under his own name if he hadn't? Think that's a very strong indication that he has. Looks like Daniel Irving started regularly for CSS last season and was at QoS before moving there: https://www.transfermarkt.com/danny-irving/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/528719/saison/2022/wettbewerb/SC5L/verein/23303 https://www.flashscore.com/player/irving-daniel/ba3DWgRt/ Same applies to Louis Kennedy other than being with Alloa and Stirling Uni previously: https://www.transfermarkt.com/louis-kennedy/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/532288/saison/2022/wettbewerb/SC5L/verein/23303
  8. Checked to see who it was and it was North End. Finished fifth only 5 points behind Lochee United and 12 behind Carnoustie Panmure. Likely at least midtable quality in Highland League terms in other words?
  9. 99% sure there was serious talk of an EoS application from them at one point.
  10. Ukrainians appear to be advancing significantly south of Bakhmut: have seen it argued that because the Russians badly wanted to advance further here to take the rest of the Donbas it might be one of the easier places for the Ukrainians to break through as there are fewer minefields involved.
  11. More on John-James Henderson: https://www.transfermarkt.com/john-james-henderson/profil/spieler/297253 https://archive.dafc.co.uk/story.php?t=John_James_Henderson_-_the_interview&ID=9121 Was with Dunfermline and Livingston and received a U-16 Scotland callup at one point. No sign so far of who he played for last season.
  12. Think you'll find that's actually in Ghana. Ghanaian Orangeism got quite a bit of publicity at one point after a rather bemused looking African gentleman showed up wearing a collarette on the Lower Ormeau Road in Belfast when it was the big cause celebre for Republican "concerned residents" before Drumcree and later the Ardoyne shops became their main focus.
  13. Maybe the EoS Edinburgh City outfit that took over Craigroyston could now claim to be a St Bernards phoenix club instead?
  14. Don't think the clubs mentioned are likely to stack up against what the top half of the WoS premier has to offer over the next 5 years or so assuming of course that the WoS clubs actually want to go for it, but it will be interesting to see how Camelon do next season now they have been taken over by Syngenta and there might be some Tranent style financial doping going on there.
  15. Quite tame compared to a clip doing the rounds last week that showed a feral cat eating what was left of the head of a dead Russian soldier who was part of a group of either dead or wounded who had had been left on stretchers out in the open in an area the Russians had abandoned for a while. Definitely best avoided.
  16. ...and hopefully more down the road with appropriate sell-on fee clauses etc written in.
  17. It was a very big squad so not sure most is accurate.
  18. Definitely in Michael MacKay and Anders Aslund sort of territory in letting heart rule head a little too often to be worth listening to. Tend to steer clear of Denys the former pilot on youtube for similar reasons. Worst of the lot though is Chuck Pfarrer the former Navy Seal and prolific creator of highly misleading graphics.
  19. This would be big if it happened given the potential to take out the Kerch Bridge: But it has been teased for so long that it's very much in believe that when I see it territory. The excuse beyond the fear of what Vlad might do if the Ukrainians took out the Black Sea fleet at Sevastopol using NATO supplied weaponry is that the Americans don't have that many ATACMS left and wanted to keep what they had for a war against China if Taiwan is invaded because its PrSM replacement hadn't entered production yet.
  20. Croatia step on down if you know your Balkans history, but to be fair it's actually very much split down the middle where the legacy of NDH is concerned.
  21. Important to remember that a significant portion of the properly trained boys got sent in over a year ago when they were expecting to take Kyiv in three days and did not return.
  22. Have seen some speculation that he had already been detained at that point and may have made that statement under duress.
  23. Only done the Memorial Hall. Might get around to the other one at some point but still have things like the Giants Causeway to check out as well if I can ever find a reason to visit that part of the world again.
