  1. Neither the LL nor the HL appear to want a Tayside feeder, so think you are safe on that for now.
  2. If you read the article it's more a case of what they wanted to do before the two partial PWG meetings happened. From what is stated all WRSJFA clubs are expected to move to the WoS and Thorniewood's manager thinks some won't like the way the conferences unfold if this season isn't completed.
  3. Already mentioned Bonnyton as a probable applicant in an earlier post. The discussion moved on from there to the other SoS teams. Has it not been clarified that reserve teams would not be getting in? I remember that being posted on here possibly by parkcircus.
  4. Nithsdale Wanderers would have by far the best case given they are very close to Kello. The rest including the Edusport reserve team I suspect have no chance.
  5. A Montrose Roselea poster on here mentioned a meeting between the SFA,HL and north region in January that is supposed to have gone well. As described above by Fairweatherfan the HL could just keep expanding its numbers to accomodate licensed champions so nothing much really has to change any time soon.
  6. That's a reasonable inference if attitudes are the same as in the south, but the HL may not have a problem with having an SJFA affiliate as a tier six feeder.
  7. Does this sound sensible? 46 or 47 out of 52 expressions of interest from the juniors by the initial deadline to get an invite to the EK meeting = 46 WRSJFA + Fauldhouse Drumchapel United are a known applicant = 48 Remaining four probably = Glasgow Uni, Bonnyton + 2 more from SoS?
  8. ...you never go full Armadale. Suspect we'll see more Ayrshire announcements now Talbot and Glenafton have been confirmed. Cumnock won't be far behind.
  9. The SCC and a League Cup are the only ones that have been mentioned for the WoS, so it should be possible to find dates for the SJC, if the east and north regions agree to league games taking priority, no replays and having the dates for it set by the LL/EoS/SoS fixture secretary.
  10. He red dotted about 60 of my posts in a row at one point and still does occasionally. My crime appeared to be posting a lot about the implications of option z as that was misunderstood (not just by him) as meaning I supported it. Think Bman fell into disfavour because he was perceived to be backing what was good for Blackburn rather than what was good for the pyramid where tier 7 EoS conferences for next season are concerned. Bottom line is that coloured dots are not something to lose any sleep over.
  11. Agree it would be the logical destination but blazers don't easily give up their fiefdoms. 63 WRSJFA + Drumchapel United + Bonnyton Thistle? + Glasgow Uni? is the probable destination in the short term
  12. Regardless given the talk about geographical integrity in one of the early WoS related press releases that was issued by the LL, I suspect it's only Bonnyton that are likely to get in, if they do apply and that list probably does explain how there could be 52.
  13. This is the post Cmontheloknow was referring to. The poster is linked to Heston.
  14. Am I right in thinking there were 48 junior expressions of interest and 52 in total from all grades?
  15. It's also not clear that staying in the SJFA is OK in that context given it is the LL rather than the EoS that are driving things in the west. Hopefully, the West Lothian juniors put applications in by the 31st. Would hate to think that it's still a case of a bitter Blackburn vs the rest divide at the Bathgate-Armadale-Whitburn-Fauldhouse end of the county.
  16. Emmet seems to have been popular at one point in junior circles but guess he started to slowly be forgotten about after 1916 produced a new set of heroes for those who are that way inclined. Immaculata FC from West Belfast has to be the most spectacular example of the genre with Stella Maris FC from Dublin getting an honourable mention.
  17. Have seen it claimed on here that Glasgow Uni put in an expression of interest but Strathclyde Uni din't. We've also had a poster claim that about 5 D&G SoS clubs were interested, and there has been some speculation about Harthill Royal given they are a literal stone's throw from Lanarkshire.
  18. Rossvale and Gartcairn have done OK in recent seasons, so no obvious reason to think Bonnyton couldn't hold their own.
  19. Thanks for clearing up the confusion, STRUTHERS. You have Maybole as your team in your profile so that wasn't obvious from the post.
  20. This was the Maybole message that was mentioned on the last page by RedEd.
  21. Think the mentality should be to try to do what Crossgates Primrose did in the east.
  22. Heavily skewed in one direction would maybe be the way to phrase it and sometimes you have to let the other party save a bit of face in the interests of a more united future.
