  1. Reality check for those who think there are no big crowds in the LL:
  2. Your own club fell for some of the shite not so long ago and in the east clubs like Bo'ness, Lithgae, Dundonald and Broxburn would have been left out in the cold for 2018-19 if the initial March deadline had not been extended.
  3. There used to be a bit of an argument on here over whether the NCL was really a senior league. Unlike the EoS and SoS setups the North Caledonian FA isn't directly affiliated to the SFA but is registered through the NoSFA. The junior and senior boundaries don't neatly match up as is also the case on Tayside.
  4. The NCL falls under the NoSFA, so Nairn, Forres, Lossie, Strathspey and Rothes are arguably in its catchment as well. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_of_Scotland_Football_Association
  5. Tayport and Scone are Tayside clubs that can. Possibly also Luncarty.
  6. The west juniors can't join the pyramid en masse without the approval of the EoS and LL where a change to the LL playoff format is concerned. This latest announcement from the west region is a desperate attempt to confuse people rather than a genuine effort to join the pyramid.
  7. The one year's notice thing is a rule related to moving from one SJFA region to another so is a complete red herring when it comes to club's resigning their membership. It was first brought up as an issue as far back as when Kelty left and didn't make any difference then so to see it still being trundled out now is more pathetic than anything else.
  8. All that means is the SFA acknowledged receipt of the proposal, which is meaningless in the big scheme of things. This is probably meant to confuse people into thinking it means the SFA support it.
  9. And how do they propose to "ensure" getting into the pyramid when the LL and EoS have to sign off on changes to the promotion playoff to get into the LL? Transparently obvious as a deliberate attempt to confuse people at meetings being held soon by the various clubs.
  10. No idea why you would see any of that as being important when the lynchpin to it working in the way that could have got the SJFA into the pyramid was splitting the LL so the EoS's playoff format change veto was no longer applicable. No split LL because LL are opposed & SJFA will only back Option Z = EoS still has a veto & no SJFA entry = complete impasse = SFA pull the plug on the PWG in time to allow LL to launch WoS for 2030-21. Over and out in terms of follow ups on this point.
  11. It was the LL that stopped option Z by having no interest in splitting.
  12. Tom Johnston got out-manouvered by the LL and SFA where Option Z was concerned. One out of the EoS and the SJFA had to be removed from the equation in terms of being part of a consensus for further progress to be made because their postures on east feeders could not be reconciled. Option Z made it appear to be the EoS that would be left out of the loop as a split LL would take away their promotion playoff veto, but it really appears to have been used as an excuse to collapse the PWG completely and clear the way for the LL to launch a west feeder thus permanently removing the SJFA from the equation.
  13. What could have happened is that the west region holds an EGM and votes to leave the SJFA. Under that scenario it might have been possible to keep it intact.
  14. Running a league isn't particularly difficult so the LL should be able to run a WoS no problem until it can be spun off with its own officeholders. The LL and EoS don't want Tom Johnston and other SJFA officeholders to have any role in the pyramid so they plan to hit the reset button on who administers any west feeder.
  15. That has yet to be clarified, but the LL and EoS have already made it clear that they will not accept SJFA involvement in the pyramid, so anything that did not involve the west region leaving the SJFA and entering the South Challenge Cup rather than the Junior Cup would have been rejected.
  16. Was there any confirmed cases of P&B swine flu during the 2009 pandemic? Given up to 20% of the world's population are believed to have got that there must have been plenty of posters on here who had it. That didn't live up to the hype but still offed up to 500,000 people depending on who you choose to believe.
  17. The only viable last chance would have involved the WRSJFA calling an EGM to vote on leaving the SJFA. If they weren't willing to do that and were expecting the SJFA to be able to work through the PWG:
  18. Five has been mentioned as the number of non-WRSJFA applicants. I forget by who.
  19. Was responding to Jacksgranda and not to misguided SNP supporters who mistakenly see SF as some sort of sister party when they really have a lot more in common with the constitutional nationalism of the SDLP.
  20. The South Korean numbers are the ones to watch as they are going further on testing people who they think might have been infected than the other countries are, so are likely to pick up more of the mild cases that won't prompt people to see a doctor. The cases numbers in China and especially Iran are probably significantly undereported.
  21. So there should definitely be an EoS champion with a licence.
  22. Having SF in a position of power in Dublin when the Brexit deal gets negotiated would not be good, so hopefully FF-FG-Inds is what happens and it lasts at least a year.
