I'd imagine the SPFL will offer to double the parachute payment for Hearts and advise that relegation to any other league doesn't come with such a payment. Unless it is confirmed that League One may not go ahead then Partick should rightfully gain something from it.

We are just about to move into phase 2 of our heading out of lockdown plan, at the moment everything is going to plan. The reason the majority of Europe is coming out of lockdown is that they actually took it and use of masks seriously, while here you have folk having a temper tantrum that they might have to wear one.

One of my more serious posts on this website: It would be very interesting to see what the actual case against the SPFL is, obviously only a select few will actually know just now. With absolutely no knowledge of that and just witnessing what has been reported it's hard to see where the SPFL have wronged both parties. Unless, of course, Hearts & Partick Thistle know something that we do not. The court will also be very careful with deciding to award compensation in regards to setting a precedent of relegated team's suing the league body every season across all Scottish sport, that itself might make it tough. If both are proved to be right in taking the action then good on them for doing so and fighting for what's right. I did think the final sentace of the statement was crass, Partick would have voted for an 11 team championship if it meant they stayed up, which is fine. Everyone went into all of the votes with their own self-interest in mind, it doesn't just become others doing it when you don't get your own way.

I can't even see how it gets overturned, the SPFL had an independent investigation of its process right after it happened. Stranraer chairman was talking about possibly getting money if Hearts win rather than position being overturned as well, I presume he had been in some form of correspondence with them.

"They" didn't do anything other than propose this, the clubs did by voting in favour.

I think circumstance would dictate they don't pay a share as they would need to pay costs if they lose.

We are in win-win territory. Hearts win: Doncaster will have to go, clubs that feel their relegation was unfair will either have it undone or be compensated. SPFL win: The more likely option, LOL all round.

Aye, the SPFL have enabled every opportunity and ensured the clubs took all decisions themselves. They even proposed an extra reconstruction proposal after all the clubs ones failed. Arse well and truly covered. This says there was a vote between the Premiership clubs separate to the Good Friday vote.
