  1. What a horrendous start to the season Morton have had. I assume the pressure on Moore is building? He has signed a lot of players on big money, yet results have been diagraceful.
  2. Like they did last season? Oh wait no, they finished below us and never beat us once in 4 games. If they are a good SPL team, what are we?
  3. Out of two cups by the 22nd of August and a stuttering start to the league campaign. The ' generation of fail ' at Cappielow looks set to continue unabated.
  4. Pumped out the diddy cup by lower league opposition....at home. Just keeps getting better
  5. Apparently it was a mobile camera, one of those vans parked around a corner. That the same deal?
  6. Does anyone know if a speed camera can detect the driver of a vehicle? And if so, do the police enforce it? As a friend of a friend thinks he may have been caught speeding by a camera, but wants to put the Missus name forward to take the points, as he already has a few.
  7. Loving the infighting. You get the feeling that as far as The Rangers situation goes this is far from the end game. Scarborough were liquidated a few years ago and 2 clubs emerged from their ashes due to infighting amongst fans. Needless to say neither club has achieved any modicum of success. You get the feeling that this scenario is not impossible here.
  8. Get about a bit with the work and have been most places in Scotland. Worst i've seen is Buckhaven in the KOF. One of those places where you can feel the eyes on you as soon as you drive in. Special mention to Cumbernauld, horrible place with little maze-like walkway schemes. Means the closest parking spot to some houses is a good 5 minute walk away from the front door. Not nice walks on a dark winters evening either.
  9. This is his year everyone. Tsonga in 3 sets then Federer in 5 in the final...Come on Andy
  10. Belter of a quote from Rangers Media, you can almost taste the rage. Loving it
  11. I can't see any senior players apart from McCulloch hanging about. Why would they? If the Rangers have a league next year their squad will consist of youth players and journeyman.
  12. So fans of all smaller teams scream for league reconstruction for years and are basically ignored. Soon as The Rangers - or whatever they are called - are going to be in the SFL there is a sudden and urgent need to reconstruct the leagues and make promotion to the SPL easier. What a remarkable coincidence.
  13. I am obviously unfamiliar with the particular circumstances of each club. However whenever a vacant place in the SFL has arisen there has never been a shortage of candidates, i don't see how this time would be any different. These candidates, whether they be Spartans or Preston, Deveronvale or Buckie or whoever, clearly have a better case for admission than The Rangers. The Rangers has no established fan base, no established accounting and administration procedure, nothing. All they have is a tenuous link to a now defunct football club and a big falling apart decrepit stadium which they may never half fill again. Admission to the SFL should be based on what the applying clubs have achieved on and off the park in their history. The Rangers have achieved nothing, they have no case to present. They should not and must not be allowed in to the league.
  14. The SFL have stadium standards? Who'd have thunk it, you ever been to Central Park? There's plenty of non league teams who want to join the SFL that have stadiums that are as good or better than teams who are already in it. They run their clubs properly and have 3 years accounts to prove it. The Rangers don't. They therefore have a far stronger case for SFL admission.
  15. If the SFL chairman let The Rangers enter their competition in their highest league...what's the point of the competitions continued existence? A league is a league, positions have to be earned via achievements on the field, not by how much money you bring to the table. Airdrie and QOTS and Ayr and whoever else are desperate to play in the SFL1 next year but they won't due to on the field matters. Why should a team with less history than the average toe nail be reinstated ahead of these clubs? Because they have a potentially bigger fan base? Utter farce. I am of the opinion they should not even be let into the SFL3. Cove Rangers, Gala Fairydean and Spartans are desperate for admission. They have established infrastructure, fan base and accounting procedures. The Rangers have none of these things. Let's hope the SFL chairman see sense and tell these bunch of chancers where to go. I'm sure they'll find a space for them in the Junior West Region Super League next year. They can go there, establish 3 years accounts and prove that they can run a football club to an appropriate standard before applying for admission.
  16. Pleasing indeed. Dens Park it is for us second day of the season. Nice to see us replacing one financially repugnant club with a shining beacon of football financial integrity
  17. The most disappointing thing about yesterday from a neutral point of view was the lack of a contest. On 5 live they previewed the game and were going for the blood and thunder theme. Expect loads of crunching tackles and not to be 11v11 at full time. That was the least that i and other neutrals expected. It was the last game of the season, both sets of players should have left absolutely everything on the pitch and get right tore into everything that moves. We never got that, the game was done by 50 minutes and Hibs never really looked that bothered about it. Wasn't much of a spectacle at all.
  18. Vlad says no. He doesn't need to give a reason!
  19. Got to give credit to Petrie's marketing nous. He has somehow got record season ticket sales for one of the worst Hibernian sides in memory. Will he be giving disenchanted fans a refund? Doubt it
  20. You need to remember that same Hibs team thumped Dunfermline 4-0 a couple of weeks back. That same Dunfermline team who won the First Division by a mile last season... Hibs are rubbish, still far better than Falkirk and every other team in the SFL though.
