There was a Q&A session in the past week and when January Transfers came up it was mentioned that due to MacLeans injury we intend to bring him back and involve him in the team
no major surprise surely? Given St Johnstone's well publicised striking problems, I didn't think for a minute he would still be with us after end of his loan period
that said, it does leave us short in striking dept....and we're not exactly banging them in just now

Personally I don't care if brabco or whoever can make some money from a hotel or a gym or whatever. If that is the price we pay for continued investment by them into Dumbarton FC......so be it
As regards a new stadium, our current ground does have a few issues..... Its not big enough when we play big teams......its very windy in the winter which ruins games...... There is no bar area for away supporters meaning we're losing income, so if a new ground can be achieved resolving some of these issues and the owners whoever they are make some money then fine by me

Brabco would run them or rent them out and that is what would pay for new stadium

Moonster. Don't think plans are for the club to run gym, hotel etc

I was talking to one of the policemen who was working at the Hearts game....he said he was surprised at the overkill that was in place. He told me there was going to be a review and that it was quite possible more sensible arrangements would be in place for the next game...and I would guess the visit of Hibs too

There's no way it will be at the rock. Anything going there will be residential. Hopefully they take a unit at the Artisan centre.
I meant at new stadium

Commercial leases of the type signed by Travelodge or Premier Inn or any other operator are typically for 10 or 20 years. Restaurant operators will be much the same. Before committing to a location there will be feasibility studies, mosaic profiling and the like done. Some companies even employ satellite traffic movement software. Tesco for example can tell within a few hundred pounds how much a store will take before they open the doors. I'm sure the groundwork and feasibility studies on the club's behalf will have been done if there is to be a presentation.
Will it work? I don't know because I am not privy to the financial arrangements or funding details. And like you I don't know much about Brabco. Are Calum and Andy Hosie part of Brabco? If so I know who they are. You guys are maybe right to be sceptical but all I'm saying is that some of the points being brought up are red herrings.
no inside info but I know either ALDI or LIDL are wanting to open a store in Dumbarton......

Be interesting to know if it's brabco rather than dumbarton fc who will own new hotel, gym etc
If so I won't be too concerned

I would guess Murray's preferred strikeforce (based on last season) will be Nish and Kane, backed up by Fleming and Campbell

Ah right. Should be decent enough, looked ok, pretty unspectacular but solid enough.
didn't overly impress me...was expecting more

What a pile of pish
Why??????
Have we suddenly got a bigger stadium .
If all away supporters come by bus equals a maximum 16 buses.
What if I want to go to the bowling green,up the castle or even just a walk with the dog.
This is typical of SNP laws to criminalise football fans.
Any fans who want to avoid this walk down the burn path and along the shore.
What a load of shite.
What about fans with mobility problems ,any access??
The whole thing stinks
Why feckin bother going it'll probably be on TV
what has this got to do with the SNP? sorry....but that's utter b*llocks. Those laws were brought in to try and curb sectarianism, bcause quite frankly the team we are playing next week have shown absolutely no interest in doing so
how many Sons fans have been arrested under these laws? I would be very surprised if the figure is more than 0

Anyone think we should be keeping a close eye on developments at Livi? Rankine claiming he is owed £200K by our owners...
im equally concerned that you read the Daily Mail

Very happy with the Danny Rogers signing and the confirmation that he is our new first choice keeper. Most agree that this position needed improving and Murray has seen this and has taken action. I'm sure he will also have a plan to keep our goalkeeping budget at a reasonable level. I haven't seen the boy in action but trust the manager's judgement on this one.
agree.....not seen him yet, but he certainly seems to come highly regarded
I would like to see a young quality fast striker coming in to complete the squad

U20s to play at Murray Park. Brilliant news!

why is it brilliant news? I would much rather they played at the BBS

I see Craig Sutherland has signed for cowdenbeath

I liked the look of the number 10 who came on late in game. Very tricky and direct. Anyone know who he is?

I think the home shirt will end up something like this without the design on the sleeve. Hopefully.
that would be last seasons strip then?

Good news. Hopefully that's enough for those who couldn't get

I'm not overly concerned about having Ewings and Grindlay back....i personally think both are pretty good Championship level keepers, and will provide competition for each other.
I am struggling to recall many games last season where their mistakes cost us games.....i do recall however plenty of games where their saves ensured we won or drew games.
Our style of play means we will lose goals.....lets not blame the keepers for this
anyway....who out there (and available) is any better?

seen the pics from pre season......looked like Colin Nish in one of the photos
dont think he's signed yet though?

what are the rules on player compensation? are we due any given we presumably offered him a contract?

not too surprised TBH...it was fairly clear to anyone at the POTY night that he was away.
not that surprised he's signed for Dundee either....he caused Hartley problems at both Dundee and Alloa, and he would also presumably be guaranteed a game there.....that was the reason he signed for us from St Mirren in the 1st place
he's given us good times, so he goes with my best wishes....and if it doesn't work out, then he knows where we are

Disappointed if Mikey Miller has opted to drop down a division but it's understandable he wants to remain full-time.
He may have been better playing the 'long game' by signing for us and hoping to impress the bigger fulltime teams (especially Hibs, Hearts & Rangers) by playing against them in a higher division.
disappointing indeed. I would be slightly surprised if Morton were offering him more financially than we were, so perhaps the full time football was the main issue. I also think he would definitely have been 1st choice CB this season too along side Andy Graham

Apparently the replacement admin assistant suddenly jacked it in and the Chairman and CEO aren't coping too well. My source told me it's like Basil Fawlty, but not as well-mannered.
funnily enough, it was Gilbert Lawrie who sold me mine, and i have heard of someone else who was told they couldnt buy theirs until 20 June - i am assuming that was due to wanting a seat in a specific area - new ST holder

I dont think they'll do particularly well in Scotland at next election....last opinion poll i saw had them at 3 or 4%
no idea down south...FPTP system means its hard for parties to make major breakthroughs, so maybe 10 to 20 seats?
I despise their immigration policies....speaking from a Scottish point of view, we've hardly been "swamped"(disgusting word in this context) with immigrants now have we?
