  1. Anyone in the Fife area looking for a new bike should pop down to Leslie Bike Shop as they have 40% off all bikes today only. I'm not allowed another one as I've bought three in the last year!!!

I bought another bike from Andy back in October, got a good deal back then too. It's the second purchase from them over the years.

They're gonna have a busy day for sure...

  2. Santa brought me a rear rack and bag for Christmas because I've been wanting to get my bag off my back when commuting.

I've fitted it (fiddly, but got there) but have encountered a practical issue - the bag is a top bag, which obscures my rear reflector and lights. I'm now struggling to find any ready-made solution to mount a reflector and light(s) to the rack itself.

The rack is this - http://www.specialized.com/gb/gb/ftb/commute-accessories/commute-accessories/specialized-elite-rear-rackAs you can see, it has a small vertical bracket with two holes and apparently Specialized used to make reflectors and lights for it, but they don't seem to anymore. The tubes of the rack are too thin for a seat post bracket to fit round.

    Anyone any ideas?

I made a small 90 degree aluminium plate bracket with some holes, nothing fancy and bolted it to the tail of the rack. Cable tie some lights to it using the holes.

Kinda like a wee mudflap with lights.

Sorry, I should post a pic.

  3. Empty Chaos in Dundee

A house in an affluent area of Dundee was wrecked after a teenage house party spiralled out of control. As many as 100 youngsters attended the party at an address on Hamilton Street, Barnhill — with four youngsters suffering injuries as the trouble spilled out on to the street.

Our Lass had a party with her mates at Uni on Saturday.. Could've been us, but sadly we're not affluent...

  4. Digging around my dads wardrobe looking for his old cine film reels to get them converted to DVD as a surprise Christmas present for him, when I stumble upon this "catalogue"
