  1. Absolute bloody shambles. Anybody else going to defend not signing a centre half now? Hitting you in the face for months and we sign a forward. Absolute disgrace. I'm saying it Murray is mince at the back, not commanding anything and Millen and Dick are like lost sheep. You're telling me that's better than Corr or even Masson? Here goes Murrayball... Again.. Brutal
  2. I didn't make the Livi game but by all accounts we seemed to play well with the 3-5-2. Maybe start with that and go with Dabrowski Millen Murray Dick Mullen Brown Byrne Smith Turner Vaughan Hamilton
  3. Yeah I contacted the club about it and apparently they are waiting for packaging? Not being funny but it doesn't take a month to get packaging surely?
  4. Did you mention Vaughan coming off the bench 🫨🫨🫨 Dicing with death on this thread mate More shocked that nobody picked up on you saying that and threw Lewys career stats at you We will have to see how good Rudden actually is but definitely gives us a different dimension. Will be interesting going forward to see how he will be utilised? Sad to see Gullan go, I don't think being utilised as a striker has helped him in any way. Always felt he was more of an attacking midfielder. Good luck to him though and hope he can revive his career.
  5. That's not quite true though is it? Same formation v Airdrie and Queens Park and started with the a back 3 against Livi. Unwilling to field an actual centre back, Corr, that he signed BTW and instead play a midfielder as the centre back. In each game we havent finished with the same formation as in every game we've been chasing it towards the end and ended up playing Murrayball which as of the last 5 or so games hasn't worked which we all knew would start happening. He changed tactics once and played a back 3 with probably the weakest back line we could play and against premiership opposition? A fully fit back line, I'd have no issues with a back 3 but not the back 3 he put out. He's employing the same old murrayball which is basically a free for all to try and get something from the game, not tactical, desperation. He had a chance against Airdrie to change things up, as we haven't been great against them and no, he leaves it as is and we were appalling. Everybody else going into that game all spoke about the need to change it up, well apart from Murray.
  6. Appreciate your response. I agree there will be bumps, ours has come when Stanton isn't in the team. Had we had some sort of defence then this would be different. That's down to the boss filling the team with midfielders and not enough options at the back. We all knew Murrayball would wear off, the issue is Murray doesn't seem to have adapted to that and it was glaringly obvious against Airdrie. I think the whole team were let down by Murrays approach to the game and made no effort to change formation or tactics against a team who have been better in all 3 games against us this year. The only game he's changed tactics was Dunfermline and we cantered to a 3-0 win. The only win this season that has been substantial. We all have our opinions and I heard lots at all these games by fellow fans. We all want the best for the team and we will agree and disagree, that's the nature of the game. I personally hope of Vaughan plays tomorrow, which I think he will, he goes on and buries a hat-trick and I will be the 1st to praise him but equally if he doesn't have a great game, I'll call it out.
  7. Let's put it this way then, since scoring against Ayr six games ago what's he scored or contributed to in terms of goals? Against Airdrie he was terrible, against Queens not much better, didn't play great against Dunfermline in the 2-1 win and against Arbroath was average. Now I do feel this could be in part due to Stanton being missing but it's Hamilton that's been scoring the goals of late, why because he's in form. Why is Lewy not scoring, because he isn't in form although he can't be faulted for his effort. He apparently had a good game against Livi, I wasn't there as I was in Dublin but we lost and he contributed to no goals and no assists. Granted from what I heard he definitely was better than the previous games. Jesus, I'm not saying the guy is crap, I'm just saying I don't think his form is what it was earlier in the season and that's allowed. He can't perform in every game in every match. That's why we have a squad to support players when having a bit of a down turn. I want for nothing more than a Lewy Vaughan in form and banging in hattricks, who wouldn't but to suggest that he shouldn't be dropped when every other player in the team have had stints on the bench is unfair, because they've all played their part as well. It's called a squad for a reason.
  8. I feel that everything I've argued I've made a point to try and back it up. No just said, your opinion is crap. That was what I was saying. That team selection is terrible. Nothing. When you could have said, don't really agree with this due to x, y and z. That's disscusion and holds more relevance than just an outright opinion.
  9. And why not? If we can get a run of form and win our games then yeah we'll be there or there abouts. Our form in the last 4 games has cost us a healthy lead in the league. There will be ups and downs and if we can't get the defence sorted then there will be more downs as the season goes on, no doubt. A lot depends on getting that sorted. Can only wait and see I guess
  10. Just happens that our season has turned on its head since he went out injured, that's no coincidence. Has been the best player on the pitch this season without a shadow of doubt.
  11. Specsavers I believe Can I ask just out of curiosity, how many of the last 10 games you've been to? Are you another that thinks brown should play at centre back?
  12. Brilliant reply I mean I totally remember saying a hat trick doesn't count towards anything I done it over 10 games not 1. Lewy can lace his boots, he must play Another useful reply jam packed full of...... Nothing
  13. Absolutely love this reply I appreciate everyone's opinions, I just like when there is something to pick out, mull over and discuss. I honestly feel if we had someone who was an out and out striker he'd really push Lewy at the minute. Lewy was absolutely dreadful against Airdrie, worst I've seen him but they were all rotten to be fair. I totally get he can create out of nowhere but so can Easton and he gets dropped a lot and I feel Lewy is the same at the moment, fluctuating. Lewy on full form, no brainier for me he's a starter, but he's not in great form in my eyes. I feel Rudden coming in (hope) might just push Lewy up a notch as there's not really anyone else to push him. I'm not saying he doesn't try, but competition tends to bring the best out in players and I hope this is the case with Lewy. At the end of the day, it's amazing to have this type of convo because we've never had a team this good since the early 90's, i just hope they don't shoot themselves in the foot because this league is definitely there for the taking. Watson and Stanton coming back would be absolutely huge. I think any other midfielder getting injured, we'd have coped but Stanton is irreplaceable in midfield on his form at that time and it has showed. Who do you drop when he is back though??
  14. Yeah but when giving your opinion maybe back it up as to why you've come to that conclusion, no just have a go at others choices. It's meant to be a chat not a page to ridicule people's suggestions
  15. Speak for yourself, I've manged Rovers on Championship Manager and won everything
  16. Ahh fair yeah: I don't think Watson can start, he's a bencher at best I think due to his recovery from injury. If fit the yeah I'd agree that's our strongest back line if playing a back 4, no doubt. With the length of time Watson has been out, it'll be like a new signing when he's back. I just wish he'd given Corr a bit more of a chance in his absence. One thing is, if we get Rudden, that we will have options all over the park apart from full backs. I'd like to have seen McGill gone in the window and a versatile left/right back come in. Yeah you could say we need a pacey winger but Smith hasn't really been given a chance at left wing, I feel. Right wing we definitely lack pace and I don't like seeing Connolly over there cause he's not the quickest and he always has to cut in. In some ways we have too many options in midfield with Connolly, Mullin, Easton, Matthews (when fit), Byrne, Brown, Turner, Stanton, Smith, Gullan (where he should be played in my opinion) and McGill. Far too many. I feel this needs stream lined obviously Gullan might be away but I feel a few others could have gone as well?
  17. That's an interesting one. No Stanton, No Brown and No Turner. I think there's not enough dig in that team in my opinion but like the balls to drop players you feel aren't playing that great at the moment. Also by playing Vaughan in with the other two, you have no options to come off the bench if Gullan does go. Smith has been pretty woeful up front but may play well on the left in an attacking 3?
  18. I'm not denying he's a good player but at present he isn't playing that well, so I don't see an issue in dropping someone out of form? I his last 10 games, he's scored 4, 3 of which were in the one game. 1 in 9 isn't what I'd call prolific and 2 assists in 10. He's off the boil and anyone whose been at the games will testify to that. Sometimes a wee rest and some genuine competition is what players need to push them on.
  19. You have heard of the word "choice"? Everyone is entitled to there's. People have chosen to not start with Vaughan probably because in his last 6 games he's been pretty crap in 5. Nobody is saying Rudden is better but at the moment my nod would be Hamilton as he's playing well and Rudden because he's fresh and new. My opinion might well change but as it stands, I feel it's a good shout. To me people should be picked on form, not god like status at a club or country.
  20. I'd go with the following for my 11; Dabrowski Corr Watson Murray Brown Byrne Turner Stanton Smith Hamilton Rudden I think Lewy and Easton are off the boil at the moment. We would have an insane bench with options all over the park.
