  1. Apart from the shithousery refereeing, can I just say Matty Tod's touch for that goal was absolutely phenomenal. Boy definitely is talented.
  2. Make the most of it. I went home and away with my old man since I was a bout 6. Many Many memories and they were taken away, back in 2014 when he suddenly passed away. It took until this year for me to start coming again properly, as it just isn't the same. It's not just the memories at the match but the memories to and from. I remember finding a tape, yes tape in my dads car, I must have been about 10 and put it on and it was the Mrs T's 5 furlongs handycap race, with big tits getting to a flyer as it started off well my dad obviously hadn't heard it for a while and just burst out laughing, had to pull over before the bridge as he had tears streaming down his face, as did I. One of the funniest moments of my life, all because we were travelling to starks for the footy. It's these moments also that you hold on to forever. I hope your old man enjoyed the atmosphere etc. The result might not have been in your favour but the memory of him being there will never fade.
  3. It's crazy how a last minute goal changes everyone's perspective of the game. We struggled for most of the game to get near Utd and it was like they were playing with 13 at times. Always had players spare but thankfully never actually done much with it. I honestly do feel we didn't know really how to manage it. From behind the goal, looking at it, I couldn't even figure out how they were doing it, thankfully Moult and Watt were aiming for the back of the stand for the most part. Definitely looked better tonight at the back but by God we need to sign a commanding big centre half, we looked like midgets compared to Utd, especially at corners. We looked far better when Easton, Connolly and Brown came on and I think that was Murrays plan. Stay tight and then let loose with some of the more attacking players, it worked if that's what he was going for. 2 cracking goals and Big D back to his best in goal. Hopefully this win gives the defence some confidence. Brown looked sus at the back at 1st but found his feet and fitted in quite well. As for Watt and Goodwin enjoy your weekend ya melts Big shout to the Utd fans though. Some backing and noise, you guys will be a little shell shocked the day. Here's to what should hopefully be a crackin run in
  4. From a Rovers point of view it's actually hard to be positive for this one due to current form and the shithousery of a defence we have. With Stanton back and a change hopefully at the back with Brown coming in. I just feel we have no cohesion or continuity at the moment. Realistically a draw on current form would be a decent result but for title hopes, would have to be a win. No idea what Murray will do here? I could see him possibly going; Dabrowski Brown Brown Watson Dick Mullen Stanton Byrne Easton Vaughan Hamilton Brown and Byrne don't seem to be able to play together and Murray has been absolutely abysmal, so Scott Brown in there might be a shout for this?! He won't play Corr so it will be Murray or Brown. If he plays Murray then decisions in midfield will be interesting? Has to drop someone for Stanton coming back? Gives boss man a good chance to play Murrayball with Smith, Rudden and Connolly to come off the bench
  5. Looks like the whole of Fife is imploding we can take solace in that we are both shite
  6. Losing out on the play-offs would be an even bigger loss. We change it and get someone who knows well football, we still have a shot at the play offs and promotion, earning a lot more money if we can go up. Putting Murray on a 3 year deal was terrible and everyone was in a bubble at the time. We've played shite all season, conceded goals, all season but he got away with Murrayball until his luck ran out and by christ it has. I have no faith in his ability to adapt his teams or even structure a team. Jesus, Stanton is good but he's 1 player. We should have adapted and he hasn't even come close to it. Sick to death of Hearts and Hibs folk managing our club. Would like a completely fresh take on things.
  7. We need to be honest and right now it's about not getting a hiding off United. I'd 100% go 4-5-1 drop Murray bring in Corr give us a little pace at the back. Drop Dick and paly McGill. I mean the fact Murray has signed no defenders is absolutely unforgivable in my eyes. That defence has cost us definitely the league at the moment but quite possibly the play-offs at this rate. Midfield - Mullin, Brown, Stanton, Matthews, Connolly and Hamilton up front. I'll be honest, I could still see us getting a hiding. There's no cohesion or belief. I personally think Murray has lost the dressing room. Couple more consecutive losses and he must be nearing the chop. Nobody can defend him now.
  8. So anybody now starting to agree Murrays 3 year deal was a really bad call? He can't manage to save himself. Clueless, and a one trick pony. I've never changed my tune on the guy. That was absolutely brutal tonight, all over the park. Could have played all night and not scored. Euan Murray needs booted, worst centre half I've seen for a long time. What does he actually do? Can't win aerial challenges, can't push a man off the ball, can't tackle and simply can't read the game. His fault for the goal and other mistakes he made, we were really lucky not to get punished for. If Corr can't get in front of that then why the hell did Murray sign him. Every time Airdrie went forward, they looked like they'd score. Also that Turner is woeful. I'd send him back to County now. Absolutely pathetic. We will get murdered by United in 2 weeks. Back to basics 5-4-1.
  9. If a guy passing on information puts people off investing in the club that they supposedly love, then they can f**k right off in my eyes but I feel you are making a mountain out of a mole hill my friend.
  10. A guy not paying for 1883 membership telling someone who does, what to do with their membership honestly, brilliant. Fan who pays 1883 membership does others who maybe can't afford it a solid and gets slated by one of said fans can't script this shit. I remember when signing up for the 1883 membership and the secrecy act that went along with it. Had MI5 there and everything. @OhnononoGeordieMunroYour f**ked mate
  11. We have made a healthy profit from June to December. We made just over 600k from various streams with costs going upto just shy of 127k in that period but all improvements. Some really good figures and well done the board.
  12. I agree, I think O'Reilly with a fit Watson could have been a good pairing. Wise head with some aggression, what we dearly lack at present. My faith in Watson though isn't great in terms of injury. I think it's a huge worry that if he does come back and get injured we are with the same dross that's been playing the last few weeks. I'd bite your hand off for Tumilty and MacDonald as wing backs now. Both came 3 years too early.
  13. As much as this is good news, I'd maybe use him a sub to get some game time but wouldn't risk starting him for the sake of a Diddy cup.
  14. Someone touched on our strongest team, when everyone is fit and playing well Dabrowski Millen Watson Murray Dick Brown Matthews Stanton Easton Vaughan Hamilton The reason I've not put Byrne in is because I don't think him and Brown can play together, too similar and I think Brown has the edge as he is sharper and quicker. Byrne is very one paced at times. Not doubting his ability but I prefer Brown. Easton is unproven in out team in that position but until I see him there, it's something I would go with. You could switch Easton with Vaughan and start Rudden and Hamilton up front but I feel Vaughan does show more up top. Murray at the back is debatable with Corr on current form but if Murray plays the way we know he can, then it would be a no brainer. My other one would be, ; Dabrowski Corr Watson Murray Matthews Brown Turner Stanton Easton Vaughan Hamilton Totally different playing a back 3 with players who could maybe actually do the job, especially with Watson back in there. With Matthews and Brown playing in front, gives a good bit of grit and a little bit of pace. Turner based on what he can do but if he doesnt improve then Mullin.
  15. Going forward Murray has some big decisions to make, no doubt. Unfortunately with his poor recruitment in the defence department we are stuck with what we have unless we can magic up a last minute Marvin Andrews. I'd like to see this game against Airdrie used to see McGill Corr Masson and Hannah. I don't care about this cup, our aim is the league. It's a chance to try a few changes. We all have our own idea of what is best it I'd like to see Connolly on the left, so he can actually put a ball into the box. Hamilton won't be risked so Rudden will start this match. I'd like to see the following ; McNeil McGill Masson Corr Hannah Turner Matthews Connolly Easton Rudden Smith I don't see the harm and I think Easton should be given a chance to try and boost his confidence. I'd like to see Easton used centrally, give him some room to manoeuvre as he's being marshalled out of games on the left. I'd play Turner just to see what he can do. Vaughan and Dabrowski just rest them, I think it would be good for both. It would give us a really strong bench as well. We need to change it up for Airdrie cause they've had us sussed since the 1st game we played them and we are predictable, as recent results show. Give the benched boys at the back a chance to prove themselves, it's the only way we are going to see what they've got. I still feel Corr should have started a lot more since Watson went out injured. Folk will disagree etc, whatever. Just my thoughts.
  16. Been saying it for a while about Murray as well. Really really poor. Honestly feel that the whole back line need dropped. Why on earth was Mullin in the middle today as well? He is another one who may put in a good ball granted but I just don't see much else from him. Brown and Byrne were extremely poor and maybe too similar to play with each other. Smith played on the left and done nothing, Connolly played on the right and nullified any threat as he constantly has to cut in, so no crossed balls. Vaughan scored and had a shot from the half way line but in the 1st 20 minutes he actually gave the ball away 9 times, had one shot on goal that he ballooned and should have done better with. Hamilton scored and won his fair share of headers but nobody ever seems to pick them up or anticipate that he's going to win them. Easton tried when he came on but players are on to him and he was fairly well marshalled. Rudden done well to make the Vaughan goal, a goal and looked like a pest. Has to start the next game. As for Turner, I didn't see anything from him to be honest and that was tipified by his ballooned shot at the end. Matthews came on and put his foot in and tried to make things happen. I feel we need to start again, maybe adopt a 532 to try and stop conceding goals? If Watson is fit then he has to start. McGill Loan Watson Corr Hannah Matthews Brown Connolly Vaughan Rudden If Hamilton is fit, I'd start him with Rudden. I really want to see Connolly on his natural left side. He does have a wand of a left foot and I feel it's wasted on the right. Maybe we should recall Ross from Falkirk cause we have no effective wingers. He would at least offer something different? I'm just thinking out loud, as I honestly don't have a clue how to fix the shambles that is our backline. I don't think anyone can now defend any of them so why not try the bench warmers who when called upon haven't done much wrong, Inc Masson.
  17. That's the thing, we have never in the whole season looked like we had a game won, mainly because every game we've had to play Murrayball. Why is that? Last ditch management as your tactics and team selection haven't worked. I get it in a few matches but it's been present all season. That doesn't scream league leaders/winners to me nor play off contenders. He has talented players going forward but going backwards, terrible and that's on Murray. He's not addressing the glaring issue in front of him. We already have players who can win matches but not of your going to concead in every game.
  18. I dont get this oh he was bad, oh he was worse. The whole back line including Murray were atrocious today, no ifs or buts. Murray never got near his man and when he did it was a foul. He certainly never ever went in aggressively at any point and actually looked lost at times. I will point back to the Airdrie game, who was meant to be marking Todorov for his goal, Murray, where was he, about 2 yards behind his man. He looks 2 yards short in every aspect of his game at the moment. Maybe he's been rushed back, I don't know but he is not playing well, certainly for an experienced centre half. Corr, Masson and even Hannah must surely be getting a nod soon? If they aren't good enough in people's eyes, why are they on the bench and why have they been offered contracts? Something isn't right there. I may be out here but I'm wondering if Murray is losing the dressing room, cause the fight and dig has all but gone.
  19. What are you 10? Gaslight away and boil yer heid. He has every right to criticise the team as well as praise it. This is a results based business, you don't get points for losing
  20. Mate this has been coming all season. Away to specsavers
  21. Bet the board are beginning to regret offering Murray a 3 year deal now didn't agree with it at the time and don't agree with it now. Can I ask, has Turner done anything of note? He looked pretty mediocre today. As for centre back, who do we get. Ashcroft is back in the team so he's out. Any other ideas? I mean a man with a white stick would be an upgrade at present.
  22. So whose going defend and argue that dross of shite that was on display today? This all stems from Murray, absolutely no doubt in my eyes. Defence is shambolic and hasn't been addressed at all. That Samuel, what 5"8 bullied Murray all game. Murray was pathetic and has been in quite a few games I've watched him in. Our best centre back is a midfielder, abysmal. Could go on for days about that. Whole team needs changing for Airdrie. If Hamilton is badly injured, we're really going to struggle.
  23. I will stand corrected though with this shit show of defenders we have we can't play 3. I thought Watson Murray and Corr but Murray is brutal. All good though we've got 5 attacking players to come on now May as well put brown in the back line and play himself. Shocking that our best option is a midfielder
