  1. No. The last time I enquired no-one could recommend an internet connection for the Amstrad.
  2. After a few days of calm it looks like things are going to get interesting again. If things keep developing at this rate I will finally have to ditch dial-up and get broadband!
  3. You're bitterness actually seeped through my computer screen whilst I was reading this.
  4. This will be a key issue. However much the Scottish football establishment will bend over backwards to help Rangers, in their present form or as a newco, if the contracts that were registered with the SFA did not fully disclose the financial arrangements between the club and the players then it will be impossible for the SFA to ignore this however hard they may try. It will also have implications for any European competitions they were involved with during that time.
  5. Are you going to apply for a job as a tram driver? It would be right up your street.
  6. President Ahmadinejad of Iran and President Assad of Syria have been asked to come on board but are fearful an association with Rangers would sully their reputations.
  7. Everyone on P&B realises the importance of Rangers to Scottish football. We're all very sympathetic and are sure that it will all be fine. If they do go bust we will all welcome them back into the SPL. We are all Neil Lennon.
  8. Full credit to the Rangers apologists in the Scottish print media. Must be hard to type that shite when you have your fingers crossed.
  9. Haudit and Daudit have asked for bids for Rangers by 16 March. But what exactly are they selling? They **think** Craig Whyte will have no claim to any assets of the club. A view that will only be confirmed through a possibly long and probably costly court case. They **think** that they can get out of the Ticketus deal. Again something that will only be resolved following lengthy and protracted legal action. If they can get out of the Ticketus deal there is no clarity as to the 18 million Lloyd debt. They don't know how much money Rangers has or should have because they've not been able to trace it. Despite claims in the press, there is no confirmation of a deal with HMRC, nor can there be as no-one knows the outcome of the "big" tax case. Anyone who makes any sort of serious bid for Rangers given all that uncertainty needs help.
  10. I know things in the NHS are bad but if they're replacing colostomy bags with colostomy pots things are going to get uncomfortable!
  11. Well at least your choice of team is better than your choice of food.....err.........no wait......
  12. If David Murray could piss into a pot whilst strung up by the balls i would pay off the rangers debt myself.
  13. From the STV report: "However, STV understands Ticketus has taken legal advice on several occasions about the validity of the deal and the company remains confident it will withstand any future court challenge from the administrators. The firm, which has long experience in deals with football clubs in severe financial difficulty, believes that the arrangement would stand regardless of whether Rangers’ assets are sold to a new company and the old one liquidated. It has stated it has already bought the season tickets from Rangers FC Plc, not loaned the club money, and it is therefore the legal owner." Nah nah nah nah nah nah.
  14. It seems to me that a number of people are accepting the D&P statement that Rangers can walk away from the Ticketus deal. That's a big assumption.
  15. If there is a buy-out the best outcome would be the new owner to be an even bigger crook than Whyte.
  16. Aberdeen, the cullinary capital of, err...., Aberdeen.
  17. Despite what Duff & Phelps are saying, I think Whyte will make money out of this. He still has some locus in the club and I'm sure could and would mount legal challenges to (as he sees it) protect his interests. It will be in everyone else's interests to wrap up all outstanding legal matters ASAP and probably someone will throw him some cash to get him out the way and not to drag the matter on. Of course if this happens we probably won't hear about it.
  18. With regards to the first point, I was always sceptical of the Ticketus claim that they would still have some rights in a liquidation situation. I am equally sceptical that they will have no rights if Rangers come out administration with a CVA. At the very least I imagine they would be part of the creditor 'pot'. If that is not the case Ticketus, a comapny who have a great deal of experience doing what they do, must have fucked up badly somewhere. I can't imagine that the could be regarded as complicit in what their £24m was used for. With regards to HMRC, they may accept a CVA as the lesser of two evils but i think it would have to be a decent percentage. as many others have said if other clubs in both Scotland and England see a weak response from HMRC it could open the floodgates. Whatever the SPL/SFA do there must some sanctions for issues such as non declaration of 'secondary' contracts.
