I think he has been on his toes all season and done a great job.

Cammy has done absolutely fine. Made a few mistakes but you expect that in a young keeper. His kicking needs improvement.

My point was that competition should be viewed as a positive thing for Cammy and the club.

Anyone know if we were looking at anymore signings this window?

The manager has said he wants to bring in a couple more players so I would imagine we'll see a few new faces.

What’s the thoughts on Craig McDowall signing?  Just as cover for Cammy Gill, or serious competition for number 1?

I don’t think Cammy has done anything to deserve losing his place, thoughts?

I think competition is good for Cammy. He's spent the whole season knowing that he is going to play no matter what. Now he knows he's got to stay on his toes because there's someone else waiting to take his place.

Does anyone know the ticket situation for Albion on Saturday, can’t find information anywhere on either club’s website?

With the crowd restrictions lifted, guessing it will be pay at the gate.

Was at Ochilview previous weekend and used the Fanbase app which is really easy for buying in advance, not sure if Rovers use that.

There was pay at the gate for their last home game so I imagine it'll be the same for Saturday.

We have signed st Johnstone defender Sam Denham on loan until the end of the season

The only thing I know about him is that he's committed - he played for Brechin just a few hours after being in a car crash...and scored.

Hopefully he's better than the last loan player we got from St Johnstone - Olly Hamilton *shivers*

Barr was always a standout in recent years but is there a chance he is regressing now? Does not quite seem the same player this season by all accounts, and was rag dolled in the Central Park fixture, or is that maybe just part of the general malaise at Cowden?

I listened to a podcast with Craig Easton after he was sacked and he thought that Barr was trying to do too much and take on too much responsibility and that was effecting his own game. He's certainly not the same player that we same in his first season.

how did the transition to centre mid come about?

He played multiple positions for us - left back, right back, central midfield, left wing, right wing. Did a job wherever he played without being standout.

Probably need another centre half as cover I would say. We’ve been needing a left back since the start of the season but young Fernie has risen to the challenge. I’m not sure how easy it is to get a recognised LB at this stage of-the season tbh.

Blair Malcolm can play left back. Looks like he's been signed as a central midfielder but played multiple positions for us - think he actually arrived on loan from Ross County as a left back.

Cowdenbeath, AKA the emergency loan champions of Scottish football had ample time to get a GK in, going by their previous attempts it takes a day for them to achieve this.

so why after knowing on Thursday are we having this conversation on NYD that they might not be able to fulfil fixture and then wait until 10.30am on the day of the game to officially call it off.

For a loan to happen, the other club needs to be willing to loan their player out.

Other clubs are also being hit with Covid issues so maybe don't have any players to loan out at present due to their own team's self isolation.

There may well have been enough time (even though it is the Christmas/New Year period) in theory but it takes two to loan.

  9. 1-0 Elgin but for some great goalkeeping and poor finishing, it could have been a lot more.

Mango going off early was a blow but playing Harvey as a centre back was a strange move for me - taking away an attacking threat. It would have made more sense to move Thomson to centre back and play Mullen at right wing back.

We have nothing going forward. Renton could be out for a while so we need to find some funds to bring in an attacker from somewhere. Buchs is totally isolated.

Going by what I’ve seen online ex rangers defender Maurice ross is apparently the front runner for the job and he has most recently been assistant manager at notts county don’t know how reliable the sources were but could possibly be a decent appointment?

Did he not leave Notts County after making a racist remark?

Wouldn’t mind Mark Fotheringham back sure he’s back in scotland after leaving his role in germany was very vocal when on our sidelines.

He was very angry. And also part of an underachieving management team along with Gary Bollan.

I believe the players really enjoyed his training though.

OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT WHY THE SHIRE ARE NO LONGER STREAMING LIVE . ILLEGAL STREAMING BEING DONE IN BREACH OF EUFA RULES ?

UEFA Article 48 – Blocked Hours Protection means that there can be no live matches shown in England on a Saturday between 14:45 and 5:15, a rule the English FA have now insisted on and all clubs have been told to adhere to by the Scottish FA.
Any financial costs for us to enable a geoblocking of our broadcast to block only England would run into thousands of pounds which we just don’t have meaning we have to unfortunately restrict all locations.
We invested in providing this service last season when it was encouraged to allow fans to see games and to give clubs some much needed income and to allow those fans unable to attend a chance to still support their club.
We have now had it confirmed that it isn't possible to continue the service unless we can block our service to England, so along with a number of other clubs, we have to stop with immediate effect.
