    Please stop.
The man played 11 games before his injury then fall out and scored 2 goals.

His record (according to Wiki) since coming back is 11 goals in 79 games.

He simply wasn’t good or effective in his second spell. It’s amazing what absence does to people’s memory.

I make it 14 goals in 100 games during his second spell.

I liked Renton as a player but he wasn't a goalscorer. We never utilised him enough - players never anticipating him winning balls in the air.

This season is the first in a long time we have had a lot of penalties , just as well😀

I could be wrong but I think last season the only penalty we got was on the last day of the season?

There was also a season circa 2013 where we missed about 7 in a row.

I shall be there as we always go to the pyramid play-off League 2 v winner of HFL/SLFL game. I have of course seen you win 2 previous play-offs to stay in the league, albeit somewhat controversially in 1 of them.

Are you talking about the incident where Jordyn Sheerin was violently assaulted by the Cove keeper?

I think we should go with the following line up, if all fit :-

    Gill

    Denham/Barr/Dunn

    Swann/Morrison/Ferguson/Barrowman

    Ompreon/Liam/Aikamhenze

Toddy to replace Denham if not fit.

Coulson, Mullen and Carty to come on in the second half, but not too late in the game. I am assuming Thomson is injured.

We are up against it now to avoid last place, but it's not over yet. If we can get close to Albion Rovers or even Elgin before the last 2 games, then we have a shout. Why not take some risks and just go for goals? I would rather go attacking and lose 4-0 than sit back and lose 1-0.

Come on Cowden! We can still do it.

I think it'll be the same team as Tuesday.

Dropping Mullen is a terrible shout. And while people don't rate Robbie, his workrate is fantastic. You aren't going to get that defensive cover from Swann or Barrowman and can't go all out attack.

See that’s now 3 goals in 3 games for Renton at Tranent after he scored again tonight.

Playing 2 leagues down he should score a good few at that level.

He's still the poor man's David Carty though 😐

I'm starting to think Luke Mahady would have been a better option than Carty.

With Cowden losing last night they are now 10 points behind City, but with only one game in hand.

Surely City are (fairly) safe now, how likely is it that both Albion Rovers and Cowdenbeath could close the gap(s)?

(Although if Rovers won both their games in hand it would put them above City.)

Elgin are safe. We aren't going to make up the 10 points.

So, uh, I see oor Sammy got subbed off at HT.

Dare I ask if he is tearing it up in L2 with you?

Looked alright on Saturday but other than one decent bit of play last night, he wasn't great.

You could see the other players getting frustrated with him as his positioning was all over the place.

  8. I had hoped Maurice might have been able to use his contacts at Rangers and Motherwell to get in an exciting young striker with a future in the game.

Instead we've brought in someone who can't get a game for an awful Falkirk side that Falkirk fans don't seem to rate at all.

As always, I'll give him a chance as sometimes players just don't click at a club. We really need goals though and Carty doesn't look like he has one in him.

I agree, i believe he is as cupable as Price and i would imagine he probably has similar ideas. It seems to be the way we do it. Manager steps down and the assistant gets the job. Not sure how healthy that is too be honest. Sometimes the players need a new voice. That is 7 years Price has been at Elgin.

Any idea why Price spent the whole game in the stand yesterday? Was he serving a suspension?

Think it was 10 games and a further 3 suspended that Dean Brett got so if any of the players have a record just as bad or worse than Dean and Elgin could be in trouble.

I think the big thing with Dean was he was betting on games that he was playing in. If the Elgin players were the same then it's worse than Dean as there was a bunch of them - assuming there were betting against their team.
