  1. Not bad. Sheaf isn’t a downgrade on Randall on those first 45.
  2. Ross County last played St Johnstone away from home, in a run of four away fixtures from five.
  3. @RandomGuy. not that I don’t believe it happened BTS, but there’s a difference between what was reported and quoted and what you are insinuating. His line up has been very consistent until now. I do expect a handful of changes today.
  4. https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/sport/adams-unsure-over-benefit-of-winter-break-336741/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Some illuminating comments from Adams. Changing the working week for the players, so they have Wednesdays off rather than Mondays It explains a recent fixture change for the Motherwell match at Fir Park to a Tuesday. I do remember Adams always wanting his fixtures on a Tuesday night. That would make the work-life balance harder to stomach for those who still have families outside the Highlands. Bust-up or not, if Murray's family are still in Dundee for example, you can see why he would soon want away. Malky did many things wrong, but he did work on making it as attractive as possible for players to sign for the club. Adams only wants short-term contracts with no prospect of players going home for 48 hours. Why would players play in Dingwall with no job security and little prospect of regularly seeing their families? I hope I'm proved wrong but I think the lack of empathy by Adams will be his undoing.
  5. If it were to happen I assume it is for his family. I would be sad to see him go. If ever a move opened up a transfer for Jordan Slew, it would be that.
  6. I do worry about how the playing staff are taking it. He’s not going to be able to replace 25 players in January.
  7. I'm expecting at least three signings from Morecambe in January.
  8. I've spotted Tim Chow in Dingwall and Inverness on several occasions since the Chinese league finished at the start of November, as well as in the directors' seats in the west stand at the St Mirren match. ETA Not that I expect he is signing.
  9. He was injured for most of October and November, making the bench at the weekend. Before that, Malky was doing the bedding-in thing of trying to get Henderson up to standard that he did to Yan Dhanda at the start of last season. Malky had been in the press in the week before Henderson's injury to praise him and to bide his time. Then the injury happened, now we have a new manager and Henderson's fit again. It didn't help that Malky - and most of the rest of the diddy teams in the top flight - are playing variations of 3-5-2 these days. I have no idea what Derek Adams thinks of Jay Henderson. Adams has stuck with the wing-back system for the sake of continuity, but that's the squad he has inherited. I think Adams will be back to 4-4-1-1 by the end of the month and there will be a space for Henderson to stake his claim.
  10. The alleged point of contact. Cheeky chappy Blair Spittal has sold one to the ref.
  11. Great move. Whether this was the real intention, it means that Dhanda can't just rely on his output from set-pieces to show he had a good game.
  12. He's taking a few kicks along the way, but Dhanda is lighting up this match. Adams is getting more out of him in open play than Malky ever did.
  13. Cannot fathom Kettlewell's thinking of going for a midfield two, when he knows he is coming up against a three with Dhanda always looking to play between the lines.
  14. In late 2013/14, Kettlewell knew he had a hip injury but was asked to play through it as far as possible. From Kettlewell's wiki:- Kettlewell wasn't taken on the pre-season trip to the Netherlands, so never got access to the club physio during that part of his rehab. Kettlewell's playing career was effectively done, but maybe it could have been prolonged if Adams showed a bit more duty of care to the player. It wouldn't surprise me if Kettlewell still bore a grudge.
  15. The six-booking suspension comes into force 14 days from the sixth booking, so Casey will be available if he picked up a sixth yesterday.
  16. Not a fan of the short-termism. He must be livid that the whole squad - apart from a handful - are signed up for another 18 months. Laidlaw and Josh Reid are here for another year beyond that, too. ETA He does have a point, but I think the short-termism was part of what did for Adams at the end of his last spell. Why would players in the central belt move to the Highlands for a one-year contract? In Adams's last spell, he signed Joe Cardle on a one-year deal and he wasn't good enough for the top flight. You're not going to get players of a good enough calibre on that basis.
  17. Vigurs was on the left. It was a 4-1-4-1. Oikonomou could hold his own on from left back and Vigurs was given licence to come inside and link with Sproule to great effect.
  18. This is there or thereabouts to the best that could be put together. However, where do the goals come from? Dhanda's good at creating chances but doesn't score many from open play. Sims's only goals and assists for the club are against League 1 opposition. It's been seven months since Brophy's started three matches in a row. I'm not sure when that will happen again.
  19. It was still an improvement on the St Johnstone loss. I was pretty pleased with how they played in the first half. There were some quick switches in play to the flanks, while the passing through the thirds of the pitch much better than I saw under Malky. Baldwin (in the first half) looked as good as I've seen him. In the second half the team ran out of ideas and there was nothing on the bench to change it. There wasn't enough quality in the final third, but the four Killie centre-backs defended very well.
  20. 3-4-3 probably, with Dhanda and Sims supporting Murray.
  21. Funny what time does, because now I look back at the start of that season and think that Adams was correct, to just try to collect some clean sheets while the team adjusted to the league. It was the form in November and December, with Lawson barely making the bench, that cost us a European place as much as anything else.
